solid session you had a great kingfish session and lucky grab on that squid haha. been lot of snappers caught but omg saw lot of kings but they would NOT hook up -.- was so frustrating over the last week and today.
Great video Matt. I took out the reload no problems with it. Only fished an hour before dark and got 2 reds can't keep them yet but it was good medicine. Thanks for the video maybe I'll learn this saltwater fishing. What are the names of the jigs your using
They're called octo speed jigs but can only be found here in nz. I know that mustad and Shimano make a few similar style jigs, but anything with a long profile between 150g and 400g will be good for predatory reef species
Cheers man. Yep sometimes the kings can be frustrating, in that situation I often find that dropping the leader down to 50lb. Also running really long leaders[2.5m+] can also help getting them to feed
Thank you Matt. I'm going to try them not really sure if I'm going to keep making videos I don't need the money. I get a lot of hate. American is not friendly right now. But yeah fishing is all I think about I've decided to get healthy again and I believe going fishing will be a huge help. We have king fish in the Gulf of Mexico and I really want to feel that pull. I really appreciate the advice on the kayak It's used but I love it.and thanks for the instructions before watching your videos id never believe I could hook up on 2 twelve pound reds. O a 14 ft great white shark washed up dead with a huge hook in its mouth. But I didn't even think about them today eating trigger fish for dinner. Cheers Matt
