Let me tell you. This for me was one of the most enjoyable videos I've seen in quite a while. I'm -- years old, and life has flown by like the blink of an eye. Many things that people find important in our country these days will wither into nothingness, and the real valuable things become apparent as you age. To everybody out there..............enjoy your life. It's later than you think.
8:48 wow that station wagon was pushing it with the times. Was actually still relevant and modern then but at the very end of its modern lifespan, you don’t see station wagons anymore.
You could argue that any of the mid sized SUVs are station wagons. I know my Dad’s last station wagon of the three we had was a Buick Electra with a Wildcat engine. Big, roomy with really comfy seats.
I live in my 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 Van (Roadtrek, 190 Popular) full time and LOVE IT!!! If I don't like my neighbors, then I turn the ignition key and change my neighbors!!!
This is awesome to see... I'm a full time van dweller in my 2005 190 popular, 3500 chevy express van... Love my home on wheels. So in the yr 2019 I hope Roadtrek comes back better than ever...
8:45 Speaking of Which, I thought that was a cool lively clip. That station wagon was barley pushing it with the times. Don't think I've ever seen one of those Buick Road masters be used for a family road trip.
This is the same video that came with the 1995 Dodge Popular 190 that I obtained (in 2019) as 4th owner. My 95 has some differences in where things are located as well as different striping on the sides, and it's the later striping. Makes me wonder if a prior owner picked it up some time after purchase. FWIW, while there are no dates anywhere in or on the video (cover or cassette), there is some very light writing on the VHS tape including numbers: G33 LIFESTYLE + PRODUCT DEMO | 392960 8301ETCONSUMER -0108290751004 | # R. I hope you find one. I found a 1999 Dodge Roadtrek and I'm living in it full time. I LOVE IT! I am the 4th owner. My 1999 Roadtrek needed a lot of repairs. Thankfully I was able to do all the work myself.
@@Robert-bz6ox that's awesome! And even better that you were able to do the reno repairs yourself! Congrats! 👍🤗 I actually recently started living in my SUV, but still searching for MY perfect Roadtrek. 😊 Happy and safe travels to you! ✌☺

@4:29 ZEHRS DETECTED! I knew KW would show up in this video at some point! @7:41 Corner of King and Queen, the mini mart is long gone and is a Timmies now, the camera would have been setup in front of the Walper Hotel. @9:25 The CIBC is still there, obv. they wanted to avoid the walper.
I've got 2 roadtrek, a 95 Chevy and a 94 dodge, after a real long look around these I can tell you with confidence that these are not as good as they look, the way the holes have been hacked out everywhere is ridiculous, a lot of stuff is just roughly done and made to look good on the surface, I can see plenty of places where the metalwork of the van has been adjusted with a large hammer to make things fit, the wiring is horrible, total mess and bordering unsafe. It's a lot of stuff made to fit into a small space very badly. After all this I still love them because of what they will do for me. This is why I'm in the process of going through the entire dodge and putting right everything they didn't. In the end it will be a very nice roadtrek, which is the way they should all be from the factory.
*If you own 25-yr. old models and use them...that speaks volumes of itself!* *THEY STILL RUN/DRIVE/AND ARE USABLE AS TO FUNCTIONS!* ( *People don't 'look good' on the inside either* ) *You're being ridiculous over concerns of 'The inside weld of this door-panel is very sloppy' and other assertions have some 'hidden meaning' only to you!*
@tillallareoneluv *Years ago I knew a guy that had a Dodge 'Surveyor' that I think was a '70's model that was done in 'puke-y looking' colors outside and in, but it was very well-made inside no matter how ugly it was!* *It was good enough for what it was made-for, which was to 'Camp' with, and I don't think he paid that much for it, maybe 2 or 3-thousand, so I consider it a bargain with all it had with it* (fully self-contained, but no 'Solar'input) *I think the 'Roadtrek' models are best, but I can't afford one myself, so an old model converted van would be fine for me* *I don't know what I would do with one other than play with it because I'd be afraid to breakdown anywhere!*
HAHA! Maybe you'd better stick with a hotel room where you have no idea who has last used it or what they've done in it, BUT the bathroom is further away from the kitchen.

Rally for 50 years is coming up soon!
That was great! The most informative and thorough Roadtrek tour I've seen yet!
It's rediculous how expensive the newer Roadtreks cost today... they are six figures.
I agree!
No more express vans too 😢
I have to get one of these a studio apartment on wheels

Road treks are awesome
You can still stop at a brick and morter facility to use the restroom if that is your preference.

They are so badly constructed that you decided to own 2! 😂😂
I'm looking at getting a Roadtrek or Pleasure Way. Anything in particular I should be looking, for? Has anyone put in a compressor refrigerator?
Sick
I have 1998 190 poplar roadtrek how do I turn on the refrigerator and the ac ?
It's a real shame the quality falls short compared to the great ideas used on these vans,
Really? It reviewed pretty well in consumer reviews...
Am I the only one against the idea of taking a poop 4 feet from the kitchen?
Yes. It’s a bathroom with a door.

yes,you are
I guess it depends on how badly you need to poop…
@@elainebenson4388 I agree, He should stick with a hotel room.
