I'm actually pretty shocked the soldier didn't just kill Karen with her own gun after disarmed. That's where my mind would go, as it's unclear if she has additional weapons, and even if she didn't succeed in murdering the son, she's still a continued threat even after she gets out of jail. Karen's like that never learn, bcthey don't see anything wrong with their behavior. She would only be upset about the prison sentence, and blame OP and his son. In hermind she wouldn't think "hmm maybe trying to murder a child is a bad thing, and that's why I'm in jail." Better to just take her out in the moment, and know she is no longer a threat.

Story 2: I never knew that there was such a thing as a commercial dryer that you couldn't adjust the temperature of at any time during the cycle. I've live on the first floor of a two story apartment for 19 years. I've had upstairs neighbors I never heard and others that were a nightmare. Mind you, although I am older I don't expect people to tip toe in their own home however, parties until 3am and later, couples arguing and screaming causing another neighbor to call the police, children running in the apartment most of the night etc. will bring out the mad in me. One couple were students of the local college and as students do had friends over often. As they drank their desired cocktails the voices became louder and louder. On night I rapped on the ceiling which brought a couple of the male party goers to my door swearing they were not loud. I proceeded to recite their entire conversations while they stood wide eyed. They ceased the loud shenanigans but I'm sure they detested me. I returned home on a Friday to see a note on my door from the above me neighbors advising they were having party to celebrate one of their birthdays and everyone would be gone before 11 PM. I wrote a note back which I placed on their door. It stated " I received you message of the scheduled party. Should the said festivities continue past the designated time to "soothe the savage beast" ( that would be me) an offering of anything chocolate would defiantly calm the offended beast. Have a great time." About 8pm I was greeted at my door by several young girls giggling with a plate of chocolate cupcakes and a chocolate candy bar. I miss them.

This is a case of both the mother and son are AHs.
The mother for how she treats her son.
However, it's also the mother's driveway to assign usage as she sees fit. The son is not entitled to the spot; he's a visitor, and like it or not his mother assigned usage to Lily. So him leaving over a parking spot not only makes him the asshole, it's does nothing but enforce his mother's perception of him.

I have heard similar stories from HOA's in the USA as well. A farmer (I forget in which state) was shot at because he refused to join up with the HOA that had been built up beside (as in the houses were built and an HOA was formed by the people who built it so that all people who bought property had to sign on with the newly forming HOA) his property and someone did not like the fact that he had a prosthetic leg. He survived and not only was the person who shot him put in prison (can't remember how long for) but the farmer also had a restraining order against the HOA that ultimately forced the HOA to go away when they kept violating it.

I'm happy that the original poster in that first story got back at the Karen that was a part of the HOA and they also got back at the HOA as well but at the same time in my opinion people need to stop being so soft in these situations and just get a lawyer I make sure to have plenty of protection on them that goes for security systems cameras and I hate to say it but people need to start having some type of weapon that they can carry on them that they can use effectively against anybody that's trying to harm them and yes that especially means of you have to use a firearm put that motherfuker in the ground if that's what it takes because these people are not here to be your friends they're here to harm you and make you feel that you don't belong in this world and especially when there are people similar to the Karen in the story when you really need to be on guard and that's when you need to take matters into your own hands because in all honesty the biggest mistake the original poster made was trying to get the HOA board to side with him and also try to get them to get rid of Karen because clearly they're just as bad as she is especially when they allowed it to get to the point where you did with her basically having to shoot somebody like the original poster son but I have a feeling if he would have gotten a lawyer involved in this situation in the very beginning none of this would have happened I mean it's still could have but it would have gotten the HOA to take a much more serious dance or the original poster would have been able to deal with this a little more better

story 3-2: OP kind of sounds petty, I get that he is family but neighbor sounds like adopted family too and depending what context "close" to family is used in mom might have every reason to feel closer to Lily, most people operate on a "out of sight out of mind" mentality and regardless the reason if mom is spending more time with Lily she is going to be biased toward her, it's not that she doesn't like OP or expects him to play second fiddle, it's basically how the human brain works, you're going to be more accommodating toward the people depending how close they are, and some people might not even realize this bias.

At the very least, if you're going to try stiffing a Tattoo Artist, DON'T TELL THEM UNTIL AFTER THEY'VE FINISHED THE TATTOO!!!
Otherwise, you WILL regret the permanent result...

"just kids messing around"?! laws were broken dude. if I was a kid messing around like that I'd be in Juvi... after my parents kicked my ass. so even if it is "kids messing around" which I doubt, you still have to arrest them. because laws and property were broken. cops on the racist's side or what?

    Story 3.
No mother should ever be treating her children as less important to her than someone elses children, outside of bullshit like their owwn children being criminals. And that is not the case. The mother treats her sons less than bevause they arent girls

Madam Balcony-Dog would have gotten the free gift of an economy sized box of ear plugs with my compliments. If you sleep while your neighbors are up and active means your need to get used to it or buy some damn earplugs.
I wear earplugs most nights just because the road nearby is inordinately noisy at night. There are some neighbors who go screaming through the neighborhood in their overly loud vehicle at 2am, and trucks go by, blasting noise before dawn. So I use earplugs.

What are those answers in story 4 about two dogs in apartment complex? Why it would be bad to live in apartment with dogs? No matter what kind of building you live you need to go walks with your dogs.. and yes the yard is nice for playing with your dogs but it's not only place you can play with your dogs and it's not good if you just let your dogs to the yard and not go walks with them.. even worse if you just keep them at the yard and not go walks with them... so what is the bad thing of living in apartment complex with dogs? I don't get it
