- Beached on an Island | New Boat | Remote Spearfishing Australia
G'day everyone, here's some deleted scenes that never quite made the cut in the last episode, but I thought I'd share anyway!
After having a very eventful and successful day on day one of our island adventure in Western Australia's Pilbara region, we went to sleep with our boats anchored in front of camp, and that was the end of that journey and the first episode.
Waking up on day two was.. well.. As you can see here, much to my luck, out of all the boats that could've drifted up onto the bank overnight, it had to be my brand new boat, and the heaviest of the group.
With no time to waste, we quickly expelled any energy we had stored up and pushed the boat back down to the waters edge, where we eventually got it floating once again.
From there we'd all packed up camp, loaded the boats back up, and journeyed on out to head in a homeward direction, with spearfishing just once more, on the forefront of our minds.
We jumped into the water, took a few more fish, and made the run home against the choppy quartering seas to wrap our weekend up in good fashion.
Thanks for watching and we'll see you again soon!
Would love to see a '101 how to island camp'. Tips on anchoring up considering the tides, gear to pack and all that.
For sure mate, that's a video I'd love to make so I'll probably do so 🍻

Hey Rohan , still very enjoyable watching 👍 Great first fishing trip , how beautiful are those Coral Trout . Thankyou looking forward to your next adventure into the deep blue. Keep safe out there cheers Geoff 🐟🐠
Thanks Geoff! The Coral Trout are the biggest blessing to the north-west, as beautiful to eat as they are to look at, and they're in abundance. Cheers 🍻
Cool video mate, nice pair of Coral Trout🤙😉
Cheers mate! 🍻

Thank you, Patrick 🙂
Wow man that was so lucky you boat washed up on the beach.
Did you get a lotto ticket when you got back into town😮
Hahaha would've made for an interesting day searching for the new boat hey 😂
Always found the nights to be a bit sleepless when your boat was anchored, used to wake up n see if it was still there. Fortunate it drifted onshore mate, too nice n sparkly to lose yet
Spot on, mate. I normally wake up every couple of hours like I'm in a bad dream and then quickly check to see if it's still there 😂 cheers for watching 🍻
@@BurrupAndAway Love the channel mate keep it up stay safe and happy!!
@1greghawk appreciate ya always taking the time to leave a comment mate 🫱🏼🫲🏽
Went out last weekend and it was freezing 19.8 degrees in the water.
Yeah she's bloody cold at the moment hey! Never thought I'd wish I was in a suit thicker than 3.5mm in the north-west 😂
At least you know now mate 😜😜👌
I should've learned from the first time to be honest, had this exact same scenario before 😆
Been stuck with my tin up the beach more than I care to admit
It just adds to the adventure 😆
what's your thoughts on the force mate ?
I love it mate. Garmin just released the Force Kraken today which has linger shaft options and oriented more for bigger offshore boats. Definitely worth a look into, but I'm super happy with the one I've got. Fits perfectly on my boat.
Good stuff 👏
Cheers Russ!
next time pull with your frends boat ezy bro
Came to comment this, why do it all by hand when they could've used one of the other boats to help pull it back in, not real bright lol
We've used that method before, but we kept that as a last resort option this time around. It only took us a couple of minutes to push it in, and no one had to swim to their boats to rig up a tow rope, so it all worked out fine 😇
Hahaha been there twice with the Dory, that was a bitch to move. Can't imagine how much heavier the top ender is.
😂 you think we'd learn hey. This was my second time too! She is a fair bit heavier but worth the weight, so to speak 😜🍻
Get yourself a Sarca anchor mate.
Might do down the line mate, but with my new trolling motor, the only thing I'll ever anchor for now is overnight stays, so very little use 😇
Maybe could have pulled yours back into the water with one or both the other craft.
Definitely an option mate. We did try with one boat initially but we only had anchor ropes with us and they have quiet a bit of stretch in them so we ended up giving her a shove 🙂
