Denise actually spoke for 10 minutes and yes this was chopped. The original video was edited out previously. Denise’ son Larry did confirm that the funeral scene was pretty accurate. However, we want to still lift the family up and hope they can reconcile and we get to hear her side. I don’t believe, she had a say in the movie, correct me below, if she did.

No matter what she said. Her mom died and she is entitled to be hurt and attempt to honor her mother. Whether edited or not, nobody pulled her off the stage, she left the stage hugging those that were on the pulpit, the lifetime movie showed something totally different. Bottom line as examples we all have to drop pride and forgive, not one of them, or any of us watching are perfect.

Tj Chestnutt indeed life time twist and turned a lot of things in the movie... Twinkie never had a nervous break down when they mom passed to be put in the hospital... it was Dorinda who had a nervous break down and was in the hospital for 4weeks behind that..... Karen almost died after having Weight Loss surgery... something that wasn’t even mandatory for her to have because she didn’t feel beautiful enough, but all they try to pin point is Denise having 3 kids out of Wedlock... it u ask me they all had issues even the mom... they are all human just like us... but they tried to make Denise out to be the bad black sheep of the family... she was young just tryna live a normal life and not be controlled... there are many PK kids that goes through the same situations... the movie was good but I feel like if y’all gonna tell the story tell the real story without and lies and twist in it. They didn’t even allow Denise to have any input on the movie either and I feel like it’s unfair for that. I’m praying for her because I can imagine how humiliating she may feel from watching it.

dana Makel Denise chose not to be apart of the movie jus like she chose not to be in the group (hence why she didn’t sign the contract even after her sisters encouraged her too) her son Larry said it and so did the sisters and yes there was added drama the sisters said that as well they said it wouldn’t be lifetime if they didn’t have the drama i mean ofc what movie doesn’t it’s a movie not a documentary relax ppl

Tj Chestnutt who is really gonna pull her off the stage with so many honorable people attending? And actually her own son said the movie was very accurate. This speech does not sound sincere at all, it sounds like rambling. Which could be down to her denial (a stage of grief). But let’s not forget she got her husband to fight bishop drew Sheard (Karen’s husband) outside the church, so it was actually much worse than the film portrayed.

It's funny how they showed all the other sister's getting engaged and Jackie getting married. I am sad to read some comments about Denise. Yes, we all have a pass. I come from a family of seven children and we all have a different view of how my father treated us. My father treated me different and I have not spoken to him really since I left home some twenty years ago. Some of my siblings have a great realtionship with him. However, my experience is mine and they do not try to change my experience. They leave it alone because it is my father's responsiblity to repair the relationship. Denise's experience with her mother is hers and no one should tell her what that experience is or is not. Parents do not always do everything right. However, when your child becomes an adult, you need to humble yourself and go to your child and make it right.

@Jazz Bquick I read your post and I felt that, bcuz I too come from a family of 8siblings. Growing up I always felt My mother treated me different from my siblings. Although I never estranged myself from her, there was still distance. I've always loved her. It wasn't until the last 6months of her life, she fell ill. Lemme be clear. I'm not bashing anyone, but not nare one of my siblings was able to take care of her. God Almighty saw fit that I was the only one who was able to do it. Now I could have thought about how I felt coming up and turned My back, but God wouldn't let me. I'm so glad I was obedient bcuz I didn't know she was going to die.😭😭 I tell you those 6 months was like a lifetime of happiness with her. Even though I, she never bought anything up, I knew she was making amends with me. She made me feel like I was her only one. You be blessed and safe 🙏💕#ripmama#imissumama

Honestly... I feel like she wasn’t acting a fool at all... she was grieving and wanted to speak at her only mother’s funeral... she expressed how her mom would have not wanted people crying and sad but celebrating her life with joy and uplifting... her sisters was already beefing with her so that sat another tone at the funeral... they claim that they are so holy but none of the sisters have yet reached out to Denise to this day to even rekindle and squash what’s beef they had back in the 90s... it’s sad and childish if you ask me... they are too old and they will regret not communicating or ever squashing any grudges if one of them pass on and nothing was done and still holding on to things from back in the 90s... it’s sad and I’m praying for the whole family... hopefully they can come together on things and at least end the beef even if they are not close just have some type of closure... I know their mom is flipping in her grave over this

Okay, so in the movie, they depicted and eluded to Denise bums rushing her way to the podium out of order of the service. However. this actual footage of the funeral, her name is stated as the spokesperson for the family, which she had every right to be as the daughter.
That's why you can't believe what you see on TV. The sisters had to have approved of Denise speaking at the funeral on their behalf if it was read from the program.

I was at the funeral and I song in the National Choir, my God Father recorded the funeral-yes I have the whole funeral raw and unedited. I usually do not comment on things in Social Media, however I going to add the Dramatization around Denise the funeral in the movie was just that......a movie-it had to have some negative to talk about hense; we are all talking about it. What was depicted in the movie around how Denise was portrayed at the funeral was mostly--MADE FOR TV DRAMA so we could all have something to talk about. She did not act-up at the funeral she was actually on the program-yes I have the Original program....she was a bit long but it did not seem like it at the funeral because everyone was so happy to see and hear from her so it actually did not seem like maybe 10 minutes. The tape was cut to save space for the whole funeral to be on 1 VHS tape. Dr Clark Funeral was very long so space was limited however I have the unedited version and my God-Father just edited her some to save tape space as he did thru the whole video which was very chopped-he actually chopped of alot of things to make the video felt on one VHS tape. It was no scene about the funeral car either---all made up I was standing near the family in the front of the church---Made for TV---the sisters actually acted calm through the whole funeral with the except of the closing of the casket which is expected when they were all around the casket crying.

Dr. Mattie Moss' Clark had a brightness in her voice that is more like this. Honestly, I didn't hear this in Denise's voice when she sang with the CS, but if you ever heard MM talk and get excited, she sounded a lot like this. Check this out right beside this video ua-cam.com/video/P9g3uXiGDJk/v-deo.html. They sound so much a like. Compare that with Dorinda here ua-cam.com/video/ItgqRWEK_qs/v-deo.html

In fact, Michael went to super stardom without ALL of them (kind of like Karen). Now, none of the Jackson are running around doing interviews about Jermaine and his poor decisions but Jermaine ran around every chance he could get to talk about his siblings because nobody cared who he was WITHOUT the brothers...same as Denise...nobody is thinking about her except the trash she says about them. Now, they may SEEM like they're treating her bad by moving on/cutting her off (remember she walked away) but they NEVER say a bad word on her. It is Denise...just like Jermaine. Well the movie wasn't a autobiography of the Clark Sisters, which means the writers have creative license to alter facts. However Twinkie, Dorinda, Jackie and Karen were creative consultants. They could have had that scene where Denise is portrayed as some type of mad woman dishonoring her mom's funeral told correctly. Instead, they allowed Denise to be portrayed as a loose woman and Twinkie as someone that's only gift in life was writing songs and playing the organ. Twinkie was portrayed as a woman whose identity belonged to Mattie Moss Clark and without it, Twinkie lacked common sense. The fact that Twinkie didn't object to the portrayal in the movie shows maybe that facts were accurate. .The only two Clark Sisters shown negatively were Twinkie and Denise. The movie was not about the Clark sisters. The movie was about the legendary Mattie Moss Clark. Mattie Moss Clark definitely deserved to be honored. She brought the Clark sisters to prominence in the middle of a segregated society, a chauvinistic religious organizations, and a single mother who failed twice in marriage. Yet despite all those challenges, Mattie Moss Clark persevered, and she persevered with her faith, her integrity and har character never compromised. Many musicians in the religious and secular society rest proudly on the shoulders of Mattie Moss Clark, and especially her daughters. I enjoyed the movie and I have an even deeper respect for Mattie Moss Clark. However when it comes to the Clark Sisters, I refrain from commenting because it wouldn't be a godly thing to say.

Family can do this to you. I've seen families torn apart by family squabbles, and the fact that no one was willing to let by gones be by gones.

No, I’m the original recording it was not recorded in its entirety. At least not on the copy of the funeral my Grama had. It’s like they stopped then started back recording.

Her sisters need to stop trying to make her look bad!!! She wasn't disrespectful she was doing what anyone would have done. A lot of that movie was a lie.

That was her brother Leo who escorted her off. Larry was only about 12 or 13 years old at the time.

Not to be funny by why does any of this matter thats their family. Their mothers dying wish was for them to stay together and everyone but denise listened. Let their family be. And keep our weird opinions out of it
