@Upstreamswimmer You might want to know that "Oye Como Va" is a Tito Puente song. Santana merely did a " cover " on the greatest cha cha cha ever written.

@Upstreamswimmer I understand your preference for Santana's version as it relates to skating. I have no disagreement with you over your personal preference. I am also glad that you were already aware that it was a Tito Puente song. I guess my nitpicking point is that if I were to reference this song, I would say "Santana's cover of Oye como Va". I think many who are familiar with his version think he wrote it and credit in my opinion needs to go to the great Tito. Anyone can do a cover.

@Upstreamswimmer I'm sorry let me be more specific. I would say Santana's cover of Tito Puente's "Oye Como Va". Thanks for your understanding. Not trying to pick a fight.

@Upstreamswimmer I would say the other way around. Carlos Santana should be very grateful to Tito Puente, who by the way, may he be resting in peace. That song put Santana on the map. Patsy Cline should be grateful to Willie Nelson( I guess). What I meant by anyone doing a cover, is that it is much easier to improve on a song or modify than it is to CREATE from scratch, a great song. I think I should know. I am a musician.
