I get Florence honestly and I understand why she’s iffy about this movie. There’s basically a female director preaching out the "importance of female lead roles in the film industry" then she proceeds to start an intimate relationship with one of the most famous people and the guy in her movie. Because of this, she’s directed all attention to Harry and her cringe relationship with him. Those trailers are well orchestrated, you don’t see Harry doing anything but kissing and eating Florence out making the public sexualize not only him but also Flo.
I would've gladly taken her place! 🤣

This, to me, says volumes about OW who, has objectified herself and all women when she said "your power is between your legs." I suspect childhood trauma of some sort when a women markets herself as a sex object. It's even worse to call this advancing women's rights.
Feel like Flo herself captured it well in her Harper's Bazaar interview on DWD: "When it's reduced to your sex scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it's not why we do it. It's not why I'm in this industry," Pugh says. "Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you're going to have conversations like that. That's just not what I'm going to be discussing because this movie is bigger and better than that. And that people who made it are bigger and better than that."
Love this, the only thing I disagree on what she said was that the movie was bigger and better than that. I think it’s probably just an updated version of The Stepford Wives and I won’t be watching it.
She's so awesome, and didn't deserve to be stumped like that in her next big role 🥺 Hope she gets better roles without BTS drama like this
I think directors should not date the actors they casted, at least not during the filming. It creates such a weird dynamic for everyone else on set. It’s like that saying, “you shouldn’t shit where you eat”
not only does the boss vs worker play into the power dynamic but so does the age gap. it doesn’t only suck for harry, but also everyone on set. seems like he was definitely prioritized over flo.

I’m so glad you brought up the children and the tour thing. I was questioning why she spent a whole summer in Europe following Harry around. A few shows I get it but when I thought of her kids and then it clicked that Jason is infact wanting custody, he said he couldn’t even find her that’s why she got served the court papers.
It's incredibly excessive and it's very clear she's only doing it for exposure, and I sincerely think Harry is contractually bound to give her a certain amount of exposure, and his tour is the only way he knows how to do it because he looks so uncomfortable around her. She spends a lot of time with his team and walking behind him.

I've also been reading a lot of articles by her for DWD and her only focus is on Harry even though this film is supposed to be "star studded".

generally speaking it would’ve made more sense to have a PR relationship between the two main characters harry and florence. it’s perfect to promote the movie. but i somehow think that olivia really wanted the PR to become more popular herself, not only her movie.
I totally agree. She's trying to earn longevity as a director because her acting career never led to her being a leading lady despite rubbing elbows with Weinstein for years. Now she is resorting to directing, getting the hottest youngest talent in her films, and then shoehorning herself into the plot and taking up a bunch of screen time. It was all orchestrated to help her gain in every way. Florence and Harry are just pawns in OW's scheme for relevance, work, and wealth.
She played the role of thirteen in House, a medical drama on Fox. That was her most known role. She hasn’t really been in anything more high profile than that.

I love Florence Pugh and I was originally excited for this film because the concept looks great and I was excited to see how Florence will bring her character into film. However, due to Olivia Wilde's actions and lack of professionalism overall, I will not be watching this film in theatres and will instead watch OTHER movies that Pugh's will be in.

Thanks for watching doll! Didn't you see OW promoting Gemma's glasses multiple times on a pap walk once they dropped? And the sunglasses account reposting her? It's no wonder they're toeing the line. They're benefiting from the charade too. And I think Anne is just being a supportive mother. She can't just ignore OW if she attends the show when the world is supposed to believe Harry is dating her. Plus, Harry told us himself his family knows his sexuality, so since he's bearding they will be supportive unfortunately. But Anne especially is the same with all of Harry's beards, including Camille and Kendall. She looked way more comfortable around Camille than she does OW. OW initiated contact with Anne, leaning on her like an overgrown child at that one show. (Whereas, there is a video of Anne happily hugging and squeezing Camille of her own volition.) Anne had no choice but to let her. OW is a narcissist and a manipulator and that usually expands to manipulating the person's family and close friends as well to make it difficult for the victim to remove them from their life.

I was excited for this movie because I adore Florence Pugh and was excited to see her on-screen with Chris Pine again (they had great chemistry in Outlaw King in 2018) plus Gemma Chan being there as well, but all the stuff I have learned about behind the scenes and what I've to learn about Olivia Wilde, I have to skip this one. Guess I'll just have to wait for Florence to kill it in Dune 2 and re-watch Outlaw King

Before this I was actually going to pay this woman by actually going to see this just for Florence (and Harry) but I honestly didn't know that much ahiut Olivaua beforehand except the fact she cheated and she's apparently a good director so I was exited to watch it in theatres, NOT ANYMORE! This woman is very fucked up and I'm so glad you didn't delete this video even after you got called out for it. Definitely watching My Policeman and Florence's other project though but it's sad they both got dragged into this thinking it would be a great opportunity to further their careers and 'Don't Worry Darling' itself is a good story that should be put in a movie, plus these two are perfect for the roles. Such a shame.

I completely agree with your views! Im actually disappointed that Harry is involved in this mess. For a person who is very private and doesn't like any drama surrounding his personal life, he sure has decided to date a woman who represents the opposite of that and I really don't like to comment much on who people choose to date and their private lives, it's just so hard to ignore all this drama that Harry is associated with and Olivia allegedly cheating on Jason with Harry. I've watched the trailer of 'Don't Worry Darling' so many times and I cringe at how overtly sexualized it is. As much as they have such a fantastic cast and I would love to see Harry's performance, I'm not excited about this film and would much rather see him in "My Policeman" than this sh*t show. Best of luck to Harry and I hope that he can redeem himself somehow from Olivia's drama.
You're so right, Olivia and her behavior is antithetical to harry in every way. That's how you know it's a gimmick. He has been forced to behave very out of character with her and for her. She is the demanding one. She is the over-the-top one acting like his obsessed teenage girlfriend while he reciprocates 0 of her energy. The most he does is hold her hand on the occasional pap walk. Always for the paps and in the busiest most touristy areas so they will be spotted. She has forced him outside his comfort zone. And her drama is so unlike him and so beneath him. He does not like PDA yet was forced to perform it many times since entering into the arrangement, and has looked uncomfortable every time. She has done all she could to attach herself to him publicly and make a mockery of him by wearing his merch everywhere and dancing like a mid-life crisis on his tour for attention.
