Thanks, we're happy with it, much better than stock. We do enjoy the snow but it's when the temperature drops to the -30 degrees plus wind chill factor that we wish we were in Australia :) It actually rained yesterday and melted some snow which is unusual for December, the weather is all over the place now. We're looking forward to your T7 adventures to help get us through the long winter months!
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Appreciate the comment, hopefully your setup works out. We both got new (used) DR's and we're in the process of installing aux lights on them right now. Let us know if we can be of any assistance. Good luck 👍
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it, I didn't think the small power draw of those LED lights would require a relay. That's how we had our last DRs setup to and never had an issue but I'd rather be safe than sorry if there's a safety issue where wiring can heat up to much and cause a fire. Back to reading some more 😀👍
So much brighter, but more importantly less power draw. Can't wait to try them outside. We're under lockdown again, wish we could ride... Happy riding!
Hi and thank you, we're pretty happy with it! Compared to the stock headlight, there is a huge difference. We've been looking for a stock headlight plastic/brackets so that we can upgrade Summer's bike too (previous owner had installed Acerbis aftermarket which doesn't fit and bike didn't come with the original parts). We try to keep things cheap/affordable when we can, prices keep going up on everything!
@@Sum4Seb I’m in Australia, & the DR is still sold brand new over here so parts are plentiful. You could always look at gumtree.com.au as that’s our local on line for sales.
Nice, let us know how it goes! You have no idea how excited we were to be able to push our bikes into our basement last month...before we've always rented small apartments so we'd store the bikes somewhere knowing they'd be snowed in for months! Now we can go see them everyday :) Getting to work on them warm and dry while it's snowing outside, and being able to leave the tools out if you run out of time or get interrupted is incredible!
@@Sum4Seb ih I bet mine is normal in my garage but we moved back to ON and its feels a bit wierd not being able to work on it will let you know how it goes!
I just came across your video what a great deal for the auxiliary lights. was there a name or any information on them I will look on ebay and see if they might still be available. Thank for a great video
Thank you, we're very happy with them, very bright at night. Try searching "4inch 18w CREE LED light" and then 2pcs / 8pcs depending how many you want. Looks like the price has since gone up (like everything this past year...) Check Amazon as well, they seem to have better pricing.
i like this setup for the aux lights especially with the option to turn them off and them being on the circuit and only turn on when the ignition is set to on; do you need a fuse or something? that's not too much power drawing from that light in the speedometer?
Hi and thanks. It's a very low draw from the LED's and that circuit is already protected with a fuse. We've done this setup on quite a few different DR's and never had an issue.

Hi, thanks! It's working perfect still. Way brighter than stock but I wouldn't do it again. We installed a DZG H4 light in Summer's and it's super bright, cheaper and way easier to change when that time comes. I like the look of mine better though. All about personal preference I suppose 😀 If you go with just the bulb I would add a protective cover to avoid headlight damage from rocks. Good luck with your project. *T4W*

Awesome. That headlight is a nice find! love it when people get creative. Enjoy your winter! At least you get snow. We just get rain.

Great upgrades! Defenetetly clever idea and not brake the bank!! Excellent guys!

You should run 12v battery power to aux through a relay, use the power supply you’re currently using to turn them on.
