All too true. Never thought I’d love a dog so much until we got Garrus at 8 weeks old. Love the cuddles and companionship. These vids would certainly persuade anyone to choose this breed. 🥰

Most of what you just said, adhere to Springer Spaniels too. My now dead "weekend/babysitting" Spaniel Astrid, could go from the floor to under the comfter before you got to say more than"ohk..."
The smelliest of puddles was a great source of rolling around, BUT a trip to the beach . . . Oh man, it usually took 4-5 hours, ½ hour drive each way, 10 min walk to the beach, 3-4 hours yelling for her to get back in and another ½ hour trying to get the most of the water out of her fur
My Golden is slightly broken....doesn't really retrieve and HATES car rides! He will lay on the patio when it rains day or night. Never fails. He's also a huge bed hog.

If it wasn’t for you I would’ve never been able to get golden retriever your videos help training and tips for lots of life styles and I know how to train and adapt to my life style I watched all your videos and subscribed I’ve been watching since your third or fourth video all your videos help so the dog and person can live happy life now I learnt lots about this breed and it’s amazing personality I know some people who have this breed it’s a great dog and they talk about retriever care channel and I always keep updating for a new upload and thank you for this channel it made my life easier also will you remember be when you get more famous like 2mil + video ideas / separation anxiety / how to teach cool tricks commands / all foods that golden retriever can’t eat / how to teach it’s name / swimming / adventure gear etc.
Unfortunately I have to agree with Neil. My 3 year old Lucas suffers terribly when we he realizes that we want him to get into the car. He doesn’t just hate it, but he’s terrorised by a prospect of a drive. Since he’s in our lives, we changed our free time habits. Of course we don’t want to stress him! But I know Goldens who adore car rides…
nothing is universal, after all, Goldens are individuals, but I agree with you that this one is less common than the others. I have seen Goldens that don't love water, but it's extremely rare. The car thing not so much.

Re: riding in car….my 9 month golden hates riding in the car (I have a struggle to even get him in!), as have 2 of my previous goldens. I will be putting a training plan in place based on some of the UA-cam dog training programmes (Beckmans is fantastic). Does anyone have any advice?

What can I put in the yard for our Golden to play with if we need to just leave him outside alone for a little while. Unlike the other two dogs, he loves staying out there but I feel he needs some special toys, a playground. He is digging holes and chewing the wood of the kitchen garden.

My Golden is very scared to even enter the cars and if I leave them he just run away and also he never cuddles when I get near him he just uses his paw to punch me in my face when I sleep beside him but In the night when we sleep he comes and sleeps beside us , only when we sleep on the floor 😍😍my Golden is also 4 months now 🤩

I would be very careful when taking a golden to a dog park
Mostly off leash ones as since Goldens are so docile, if they get attacked they can’t do anything. My puppy’s older cousin ( our friends golden) when on a public walk at the farm with there dog (dogs had,to have there leash on) but then a dog came running up to the poor golden and attacked him now the golden unfortunately have the damage that can’t be undone. So I would stay away from dog parks unless you know for sure that every one there has a good/friendly doggo
Hey! Just wondering about one of my retrievers, he is a big boy, around 27 1/2 inches tall, he weighs around 90 pounds maybe a bit less, is that normal?? He is a six year old- he is very active- loves playing and running- any insight would be great!

Nope, my late golden retriever didn't love cuddles. Nevertheless, he loved to lie down by our side on the floor.
And nope, my goldie didn't fetch. He took the toy and chewed it by himself. Even when he did return to our side, he refused to give up his catch.
Car rides... didn't fancy that. Swimming? Sigh.... nope again. Getting wet and rolling on the ground, YES! What he loved the most was -- eat 😋Yup, he's a gentle giant, bullied by cats and kittens ☹
