I'm English, so obviously happy for the Win - but to my Samoan friends - you were robbed, you were the better team today and we are the lucky team.
You should be ashamed of accepting in public you belong to that nation of thieves cause everything you have achieved as a nation meant you stealing from another people.

From an England fan, well done Samoa. You were without a doubt the better side tonight, attack and offloads were genuinely unreal at times. This game has truly highlighted where we are in this tournament, we’re gonna have to put in an insanely clinical shift to have any chance against Fiji

No they don’t. Discipline has always been their Achilles heel. Something doesn’t quite fire in the brains and they loose focus.
I disagree, they were amazing in the first half. But the second half despite not scoring many England dominated and controlled the game for at least 30 mins of it.
As an England fan I would say Samoa were very unlucky and thoroughly deserved victory.

Appalling to disallow the Samoan try. Clearly states in the rules it must be "clear and obvious", yet it required five minutes of replays to determine that the samoan player "might" have touched the ball.
EDIT: In case you were wondering, World Rugby have now released a media statement. WR have briefed media that Samoa’s non-try was a wrong call and definitely not ‘clear & obvious’

Wow! Who ever thought the headless England team would be so dominated by Samoa 🇼🇸. When the Samoans went into the first half deservingly ahead England knew the game was on. Samoa 🇼🇸 could easily extended their lead only to be outdone by the tmo. Still, they showed more flare & ingenuity to be again outdone by discipline. Interesting when Ford was thwarted by the clock running down on a penalty, the first we have seen, his penalty then disallowed 🚫. Punishing game to watch. England might as well pre-pack their bags prior to the quarters as having the easiest run by group, they show no signs that they want to progress. They are at this RWC just to make up the numbers. Should they face Fiji 🇫🇯 in the quarters, then their fate will be realigned with another beating by the South Pacific team as was at Twickenham. Well done to Samoa 🇼🇸.

This "win" for England raises a lot of questions about their current form. Samoa played superbly and England should have done better. They know that and they will have to learn lessons from this narrow victory if they are going to win their next game, let alone any after that.

You had to show the highlight of the move by Samoa after the disallowed try where Ah Wong almost scored acrobatically in the corner, and then also the move to go from their own 22 to the England 5 metre line which ended in a knock on at the end. Just cruel heartbreak.

Would have been amazing to see Samoa defeat England. They have a much smaller population and much lower resources to spend on the game and player development. I think they make that disadvantage up with passion for the game and pride in representing their community. THAT is what the RWC and rugby is all about!

the rwc is all about the tmo and referee protecting the tier one nations, look at the scheduling in previous world cups tier two nations would only have 3-4 days rest between games something that never happened to tier one nations
Everyone keeps going on about England's "resources", but it clearly means jack all when we have lost 3 prem clubs gone into administration, and our national team constantly underperforms. Just because the RFU has loads of cash means nothing if it's not being put in the right places. The whole system is clearly flawed!
It makes them hungrier, more determined and much more in the game. World Rugby fans are absolutely loving our South Pacific neighbours, and their Hakas are very special. They've all come so far, done amazingly well, created a Global fan base and above all, have gained so much support and following. Things can only get better, they're warriors in their own right, so in 4 years time, watch them all go. As a Kiwi living in Inverness, I could not feel more proud of all of the South Pacific, Island Rugby Teams. Sensational and have really stirred the Rugby pot for a very exciting stew.

Once again, World Rugby deliberately keeps a Tier One team in the competition by preventing a Tier Two team from winning, even when they clearly deserved to. Who ever heard of a try being disallowed after the conversion attempt? The try was given by the on-field referee. Case closed. Plus no yellow cards for England despite repeated infringements inside the 22. The Samoan yellow was deserved (what were you thinking?), but by then Samoa should have been two tries in front. There were also plenty of English transgressions in the ruck that were not called, but too many Samoan infringements that were. Not quite fair or balanced. This is the sort of ridiculous officiating that brings “professional” rugby into disrepute.
England had already qualified top and samoa were out but I do agree with the conversion rule. Seems like they have changed it for no reason. Shouldn't be changed after the conversion

I actually want Fiji to destroy us in the QF. It’s the only way the RFU will sack Borthwick and get rid of his continuity Eddie Jones rugby, and that some of these players will get dropped. Getting timed out on a kick is embarrassing- that on its own should get Farrell dropped.

Absolutely.. the north is doing all it can to stop the south winning another World Cup. Watch out for some dodgy 50/50 calls going France and Ireland’s way. Both the Boks and the AB have to accept that it’s them against 19 men and the whole northern hemisphere.
Don’t expect any favours and play to your game and remain disciplined.

Not just robbed the ref reversed a try after the conversion which is against the law, which says you cannot reverse the try after a coversion is taken. Samoa should appeal this result as it could mean they should have won and get autmatic entry into Oz 2027 if they came 3rd.
