  • Melissa Hartwig discusses The Whole30 Fast and Easy cookbook and The Whole30 Day by Day live at Politics and Prose on 1/7/18.
Since 2009, Hartwig’s Whole30 program has helped millions of people change how they think about food. By focusing on whole foods and eliminating sugar, alcohol, soy, and dairy from their diets, people consistently lose weight, sleep better, and have more energy. In her new cookbook, Whole30 Fast and Easy, Hartwig makes it easy to get with the program, offering 150 appealing recipes that are simple, unfussy, and Whole30-compliant. For times when you need extra motivation or just a chance to reflect, Whole30 Day by Day is a handbook of tips, advice, and resources. Hartwig is in conversation with David Leonhardt, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist.

Melissa is amazing and so impressed with her knowledge. I have just found out about Whole30 and looking forward to starting it. Little nervous because of work and discipline but know it is worth it.

I don't understand why it's too restrictive. I could eat like this 365 and not have a problem. The items that are cut out aren't truly needed. Fruits, vegetables, quality meat, and healthy fats. Everything else isn't needed.
