On the 9th, the Second A-bomb was dropped on Nagasaki and the same day the Soviet Union invaded Japanese Puppet State of Manchukuo and Northern Korea. On August 15th, Japan surrenders. On September 2nd, Japan signs the Instrument of surrender on the USS Battleship Missouri WWII comes to an end. On September 9th, Last Japanese forces in Mainland China surrenders officially ending the Second Sino-Japanese war.
