Excellent video & I especially liked the input from Aaron & the AReeve guys..they obviously know their stuff inside out and were helpful when explaining all the little 'features' you had created when doing your installation!!! They seem to be a great team so a great find and the car is now fully sorted. You just need to now sort out the bodywork to complete the picture. Are you going to keep Ethan to help in future videos? you seem to have a great rapport which works!
Good work mate, and fair play for tagging AReeve in to help, they're a great bunch of people an proper car folk, used them previously. 600 ponies, madness!
@Chris_Slix you and Nathan make a great team hopefully see more future projects with you both , looking forward to seeing this one finished sounds incredible 🔥🔥🔥
Don’t get the hate here. He’s installed a supercharger kit with virtually no instructions. He’s supercharged a car that wasn’t meant to be supercharged so for one, that’s hard AF 😂. He’s not a BMW expert so how was he supposed to know all these nuances. He did it basically on a driveway. Fair play. Got as far as you could, experts helped, now you’ve got more knowledge for next time. This is how we learn. I’ve got a Boxter to build next, never done one, never done IMS, wish me luck 😂
I think we have all been there mate, working on my own vehicles I often find something that sticks out like a sore thumb when someone else looks. Glad you found the issue and Aaron is a star
As much as i love watching these videos and Mats too, there's always that feeling at the back of your mind... but has it been done properly - Although I've seen worse mistakes happen in main dealers! 😄
@@mattcoates_83 exactly! The only car I’d purchased damaged of a UA-camr is Salvage Rebuilds. If I won a car in a raffle off Chris or Mat I’d sell it straight away 😂
Looking awesome Chris can’t wait to see it all ready. Namz Boost replaced Rod Bearings on his 2013 M3 (yesterday on his UA-cam channel) Must be a common fault.
God loves a trier mate! Just initially sending a car off to a mechanic to sort doesn't make for a good upload, this does. Keep em coming; keep on wrenching.
Bro like I commented in the previous video when you down the oil change you shouldn’t of put such expensive oil until you’ve done the rod bearings, it is what it is tho bro 😎
SO did they just roll the top rod bearings round into position?? (Have seen this done on Large Truck Diesel Engines before saving a full block rebuild)... didnt get to see the top bearing removal/install in the video...Edit: My Mistake that's Main Bearings you do this procedure I believe
Just don’t rev or thrash it until the oil is fully up to temp, that will save your bearings… its why bmw give you a oil temp gauge only and a moving rpm limit.
Probably not the best idea to swap bearings and then slap it on the dyno... I would have personally tried to do 1000kms of chill low rpm driving before dyno
@@Ben-in6qh similar to piston rings and other engine parts that need to get broken in slowly, rod bearings work with super tight clearances and these need to be achieved nice and slowly before you start bashing on the engine so throwing on a supercharger and going straight to a dyno is not ideal
Do a slow run in with new rings and you'll have a smokey, oil burning, gutless engine for the rest of it's life. Engine bearings run on a film of oil, zero contact, so what are you expecting to happen?
@@Chris_Slix Chris it's mega that you've replied! I appreciate you took the time :) also please know I love the content and I do think you are growing so fast and quickly becoming one of the best YT channels - that is why I/we expect more and more of you. Keep up the great work and cheers from Poland!
Because to enable us to carry out our job properly we'd need 50 + grinders with the guards in all different positions for all the different ways we cut. It's about experience and how to use it whilst minimising risk. Keep moving a guard simply isn't feasible so you find yourself hindered and trying to cut awkwardly to get around it which also has it's own dangers

I hope Ethan stays around after the M3. The vibes ace
This guy that tuned the car is a BMW Guru 😊 great content ❤

Love how youre making progress. Been here since the start.
Loving the M3 build. Needs a dry ice clean too. Personally I enjoy real world builds like this than watching yet another hypercar build
Glad your back and glad your all good dude. We missed you Awesome vid 👍🏻
E92 is the best build yet 👌🏼
Chris (Modstock) did my 4 pipe and gutted primarys. His work is awesome. Also with those tips, you should ceramic coat them to stop lacquer peel
The guys at Modstock did my F-Type V6 box mod and valve replacement. Great work from them and highly recommend!
Brilliant enjoyment for you guys and great video.
Brilliant episode! What an epic build and this definitely needs to go to the ring and let Misha have a blast in it

Another great video Chris love your work mate keep it up. Still cant wait to hear the X3M running
Done a great job on this one Chirs !! Supercharger kit aint no joke
Just what I needed after a hard day at work, bro I love UA-cam ❤
8:08 bro that’s sounding so savage it’s like it’s had the cams done, it sounds like a dragster 🤤🤤🤤

Almost an 16% increase in followers in just 1 month - this build have people's attention, nice work!
Yes Chris that sound really nice and it’s gonna be a beast when fully finished
Sounds incredible! Not so much a screamer but a growler!
Sounds wicked sick ❤ great stuff
That car sounds amazing. Love it
Someone loved that car previously looking at those bearings on that mileage 👌
New to the channel of the back of you on MA channel. I like the style you do and also appreciate how much filming goes into a 20 min vedio fair play
Great vid bro, nice one with the build, beasty
Ah mate you’re literally no more than 45 mins away from me at A Reeve!
600 horses aint no joke. These M3s were a bit slow on stocks so this is the perfect upgrade 🎉
Thought I recognised that garage, I live down the road from A Reeve. Much love from Kings Lynn🤙🏻
Nice power gains just need a trip with Matt and the lads. To the ring
Great result, great video
Great video Chris , nice to see you can admit your errors & give credit to the AReeve crew for fixing them , he knows his schitt , very impressive.
Do the rod bearings need bedded in or fit and good to go
all measured to spec- let it warm and full send :) @@raysteven624
My man using a technical tap with a brick to fit them tips 😂😂😂
It's a bit softer than a brick 😅
That sounds wicked!
Like you know your limits Chris and have some great input from the professionals. Not unlike MA. Good effort mate, respect.
Almost exactly the same🫣🤔
Love a charged V8 great content since selling the buisness mate keep up the good work loving the X3 stuff too 👍
Boy knows his stuff very impressive !
That's a slix sound there at the end of the video
That sounds the nuts!🤠
What a great sounding car!!!
What a beast!!!
😂 I laughed at that coil pack I made the same mistake on a rebuild 😂
Sick video man
Congratulations young men! 👏
Beast mode
💯
Nice Job man!!
Love the M3 video series 😎✅
Sounds epic..😂💪👌..what a beast...have you got a fuel card...😅..Sunday blast car..mint...enjoyed watching that video..its going to be a nice car...👌
sounds amazing
Such a sick project car 🔥🔥
Crank bearings also wear prematurely
*This video just demonstrates, hard work does definitely NOT beat talent*
That's funny
that's what you get from wannabe UA-camr mechanics. Literally all the work they had done was GARBAGE. You live you learn, hopefully.

612HP is mental! Even with the comedy of errors you just kept going and ended up with a mechanical M O N S T E R. Now... finish the body!!
What a beast! Makes me want to hurry up my ESS schedule😅
Nice work!!!! Thought I seen the car!

V8 Roadtrip pending...
I think its needed 😅
great looking forward to more

💯 what a waste of money
Great video with lots of detail. Just a question how does this affect your insurance ? 👍👍👍👍👍
Cannot wait to see it finished. It’s gonna be some car. 612hp I’d be off super car baiting 😂😂😂
AWESOME...... Love it 😍
What a build - dont sell it or raffle it off, keep it!!
Brill mate 👍
Replace rod bearings, fix the supercharger install and map the car in one day. Fair play to that tuner.
Do the rod bearings not need bedding in before revving it out on a dyno? Or is that just with piston rings?

do modstock supply the brick ?

As if you you was round the corner to me at a Reeve should of expected it really being an e92 m3 😂😂

Its a precision machined block of wood william 😅
No need to run in the new rod bearings?

120k
120
