I found a ton of the cookie cutters, but not too many other brown dots. Found lots of the beef jerky and Pringles which was a nice surprise. Congratulations on your haul!
Yesterday was finally my 1 st time and I found 7 items from 1 store and I’m beyond happy

I went a week late and only visited 1 store on the way home today and did find 2 of the laptop holders. Gonna hit up a few more tomorrow.

Almost everything with a brown dot is a penny right now. You can use the scanner on the Dollar General app to make sure.

4:32 I believe you missed another speckled coffee mug.
Went back and it was actually two, it was behind the old white and blue striped monogram mugs. It’s the cream colored and green colored speckled mugs. They are stacked, one on top of the other.

How do you know what to look besides looking for the brown dots? Like if it isn’t brown dot, do you scan them?

Usually every week new items go to a penny at Dollar General. I put out a video every week that tells you what penny and clearance items you can look for. If you've never penny shopped before you might want to watch my video called How to Penny Shop at Dollar General in 2024, it is long but it explains everything.
I couldn't find anything at my nearest store brown dot for a penny
I've never seen that shelf.
I'm in some Dollar General groups on Facebook and I see people post so many items that I never see in my own stores.
Today a cashier told me some of the small american flags pennied 🎉

There are a lot of new brown dot items being put out right now that are full price. The best thing you can do is use the Dollar General app to scan things so you know for sure it's a penny.
@@DollarStoreDetective unfortunately I went to 3 dollar generals in Texas and none of the purple items are ringing .10 all 3 ran .30. But on my app it was .10 and at the register it was .30 what could I do in this situation?

It is really frustrating when they guilt you and make you feel bad. I'm sorry you encountered some of those employees.
how long before a brown dot item goes to a penny?
The brown dot items usually come out in November. Last years brown dot items just went to a penny last week.
@@DollarStoreDetective I just found like 20 items that were just put out today that are brown dot and are regular price. Is that unusual?

Are these stores you already went to st 90% off?
No these stores were in a different town than the ones I hit at 90% off.
Why not save some for others to find?
You are supposed to take all the penny items because if you don't the employees will realize it's a penny when you check out and then they will do their job and remove the other items from the shelf. They will either ship the items back or throw them in the trash. I'd rather take all the items I find at a penny and know I can donate them than leave them and risk them getting trashed.
My question is when you know what day they pennies out?
