Thank you so much for this look back at Hamilton. I love it. You are great! I also like the trains and the heritage units on this one. Track changes and rail train were super. Stay safe and warm. ❤
You are very welcome, Margie! I`m glad you liked it. It`s still cold as all get out up here. I went out today by the tracks and was there for 4 hours. It was 5 degrees when I got there and 8 when I left around 2:20!
And one more intermodal/auto rack with different NS power, lime green containers, and Crowley containers that make me think of Ozzie Osborne. We also see my favorite gray building in the background! Thank you so much, my friend! 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
The first DPU of the was a NS mixed manifest with another nice string of box cars and another new untagged UP boxcar. Another great catch, Scott! 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤
That was a sort of long intermodal led by a cool older? NS locomotive with a different paint scheme and body style. Great catches so far, Scott! 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
That blue mane locomotive was part of a series that NS did a few years ago when they started converting over from DC to AC traction motors on their locomotives. They have 5 in that series in different colors.
Thanks Jim! I went out today for 4 hours and it was 5 degrees when I got there and 8 when I left at about 2:30. Itt`s supposed to start warming up a bit by the weekend! I`m ready for Spring!
Well Scott, once again, my friend you made another awesome blast from the past video I’ll take them any day but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one. Oh and by the way we got 9 3/4 of an inch of snow down here in Pearl River Louisiana go figure
Thanks Timmy! I was wondering f you got that snow! Wow, almost 10 inches in Louisiana, who would a thunk it? I had 14 inches in my yard when that big snow hit us a week or so ago, and about 8 inches of it is still there. A lot of the places I go railfan at, I can`t even get to right now because it is solid ice and I would be stuck for sure! Make sure you get plenty of pictures of that snow. It may be a long time before you ever see it again down there! Have a great day my friend!
I guess it`s good afternoon now, Carol! I got a late start today. I was out for 4 hours, and it was minus 15C when I got there and minus 13C when I left! It was way too cold to be by the tracks, but I did catch you an intermodal! Lol
We have a CSX mixed manifest with a nice string of box cars plus untagged TTX and GATX box cars. There was also a brand new, untagged UP box car! This train followed a local with a caboose leading. 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤
Thank you. Great collection of greatest hits of Hamilton. Something for everyone and a reminder of the sadly now demolished paper mill. I wonder what changes 2025 will have for Hamilton. Thank you.
Thanks Alex! Hopefully the big change in Hamilton is the construction of the new hotel. I want them to get that built with the rooftop restaurant they are supposed to have so I can film trains from up there!
We have a long mixed manifest led by a Lehigh Valley heritage unit, which is cool! 2 in a row with awesome power! It doesn't get much better than that. Thank you, my friend! I hope you're staying warm. Things got worse for me last week. I woke up, and when I tried to stand, I nearly fell down because my left leg won't support me! I've been using a cane for about 3 years, but now I'm back to using my walker. I sure hope it's not permanent! 😒
Oh wow Gary! I hate to hear that. Hopefully it`s just a little blip and you`re back to just the cane. I have days where my left knee hurts so bad from arthritis, I just want to cut it off! I started taking Glucosamine and that really has helped for sure. I hope you are feeling much better very soon my friend!
@1960gambit Thank you very much, Scott! I'm happy that you get relief from the glucosamine. 😃😃 Unfortunately, mine is from nerve damage. I really appreciate your kind words. 😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
Good made video, mr 1960gambit. A nice look back on a better weather conditions when it was warmer . For me in Zandvoort a new NS heritage locomotive in the color scheme of Le High Valley. Thx for this topvideo 🚆👌👍💪💪👍👍👌👌🚆🚆 in Hamilton Ohio. Have a nice day. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Thank you Roelof! I`m glad you liked this compilation. I have only caught the Lehigh Valley one other time, and it was down in Chattanooga, Tennessee when I was there for work about 6 years ago. I hope you`re staying warm over in the Netherlands!
You answered a question I’ve had. Do trains ever go northbound on the New Castle, well it appears they do! Cool Sask Pool hopper car and SOO Line! Awesome sound of the departing DPU chugging away!
They do, and it is fun to see them go the other way! It doesn`t happen often. I think I have caught maybe 3 trains coming up that way in all the times I have been in Hamilton. Have a great day, Dale!
"We're gonna get a heat wave tomorrow... I think it's goin' up to 23!" We're in the deep freeze here in north Georgia too, Scott... it was 14 this morning. I've about had ENOUGH of this nonsense from Ol' Man Winter! 🥶
Wow! That is cold fpr you guys. I saw where they were getting something like 5 inches of snow in New Orleans! So much for global warming! Lol I am so ready for Spring. I heard on the radio today that one month from today the Reds play their first Spring training game. That`s music to my ears!
@@1960gambit That's what he thought would happen. He's not sure what good the detectors are if they don't detect. Thanks for the answer and thanks for all the videos. @@1960gambit BTW, I grew up in the St Louis area and we also didn't get off for just snow either. But I think the government here is being extra careful because NOBODY round here has even SEEN snow in 35+ years.
Thank you very much for this spectacular video today, Scott! It had so many amazing trains, and I appreciate how it kept me from dwelling on my health concerns. It's just like you knew what I needed. ⁸⁸b
An awesome welded rail train, too. That is cool! 😎😎😎❤❤❤
It's definitely a great train!

I like the idea of looking at warmer times because where I live it is cold not as cold as you are but not the way I like it so have a good day
Thanks so much! I`m ready for Spring, but the problem here in this part of Ohio is that February is usually our coldest month! I hope not this year!

Good morning Scott, glad you’re feeling better my friend. If you’re able to get out today be safe and stay warm.
Thanks Bill! I did get out today. 5 degrees when I got there and 8 when I left 4 hours later! I`ll be glad when this stuff is over with!

Hi Scott. I love the KCS power on the ethanol train! It's my favorite color scheme. It was a good-sized ethanol train, too! Thanks. 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤
