Just a reminder, the machine will automatically cut the cord once extended on the blade once you start running it, so don't risk cutting your fingers. Thanks for the video!
Yeah, I've used it for the first time today. I bought a 4ah battery and that lasted near 40 minutes. I wouldn't waste time with a lesser battery - its a false economy as once you bother to get up, get all your gear on and start the job, I want to keep going till i'm tired. 20 mins would annoy me. It takes almost that long to set up, pack up and clean up so I need to get some decent work done.
The wheel is for trimming grass edges, not a distance roller. The clamp is a plant protector so you know to where it cuts. You didn't need to extend it for this grass. Nice review, but you really don't know much about grass trimmers ;-)
I used it today. You only have to press the smaller red button in once at the same time as you hold down the larger button and once it starts, you can let go of the smaller button. Hope that makes sense.
I bought it a month ago, was procrastinating using it till I had time to research comparable products to assure I was getting best value / product. Used it today on 6 month overgrown grass with blackberry brambles. Grass was knee height, & thigh high in places. I can happily say its a good sturdy piece of kit. This vid helped me assemble it and then I was up and running. 4ah battery lasted over 30 mins. Yes you don't get battery and charger included but the strimmer itself is only £29 so with all other bits bought, it cost £70 all in. That was good value compared to other machines on market. Hope that helped!!
All the trimmers that work off 1 battery will have low power, if you want one that would be similar to a petrol/gas strimmer then you need a 40v machine..
@@KingKong-xb7yw Yeah but Dewalt batterys have no overload or low voltage discharge protection in the batteries, its all in the Dwalt tools.. So using them outside dewalt tools means the batteres are not protected from anything.. Be carefull of that..

I need to return the product because the motor is rotating the opposite direction for some reason
Can you put new line to the spool, or you have to buy replacement spool by Parkside?
Can you use thicker line or twisted/rectangular line?
Great video. I'll go and buy one when it comes in store here in the UK next weekend. Cbeers
Thank you! 😎
Very good tool, easy and quite to use.
How long wiill it work with 2AH battery?
Parkside 2A battery is useless in almost all the tools, get at least 4ah but ideally 8Ah
@@user-zr3tb6bg7o well im using this device with both 2, and 4 AH now, and even with smaller one it works bout 20 minutes.
20minutes and signifancly less amperage reaching the motor leading it to cut out during any serious work
@@user-zr3tb6bg7o 20 minutes of full power

Is deze Grass Trimmer nog te krijgen ?
Looks a bit like the einhell model except it got to expensive, can find parkside half the price & einhell even ask to much for those plastic blades😅
Yes I have Einhell and I'm considering to buy parkside
Omg, he talks exactly like a pilot!
Good Tool 🛠

The problem with it is you have to press both buttons for it to activate and after a while it is very very tiring on the hand.

@@canigetanemail Omg, I am just seeing this, I will try that. Ty.
All the videos I have watched on this product show it to be lacking in power, and no battery or charger, not a good purchase.

I bought a battery adaptor and just use dewalt batteries I already had. Makes it a bargain in comparison to paying dewalt tax on their strimmer.
