I think if the Bears do right by him, and finally get their shit together, thats gonna be a fun division to watch between them, the Packers and Lions. Lions may end up with. QB problem soon if Goff can’t get them over the hump. But until then…. NFC North is gonna be fire. It’ll be crazy if some how Fields ends up in Minnesota
Fields couldn't make half of these throws man lol Enjoy the fact that the bears have been gifted an elite qb prospect with an 7-10 squad. Most #1 picks don't get that luxury.
I only wonder how is pocket presence, off-scripted plays, and escapability will translate against much faster, smarter defensive players and brilliant defensive coordinators. I guess we'll find out
While extending plays is great, doing that on a regular in the NFL typically doesn't happen. It's also bad to see that he didn't throw in under 3 seconds. I'm still not convinced.
He has to show that he can stay in the pocket and make accurate throws. He's great scrambling around ,making plays and finding guys. In the NFL, guys will smash him up doing all those scrambles.
Full disclosure: I haven’t watched any of Caleb’s games nor his film . I don’t claim to be one of these podcast possi’s with a mic and a keyboard cutting up tape on these prospects( and never played a down of organized football)but what I can tell u is from this highlight he looks like a slower Justin fields
Justin fields doesn’t progress through his reads like this young man , and that is something that you can’t coach up , Justin looks one way maybe 2 at times and it’s run
Some people saying he might be the next pat mahomes but he was coached by andy reid lets see him go somewhere and thrive under a less experienced coach
The arm talent is obviously elite. Accuracy too. Obviously since these are highlights, you won’t be able to accurately judge his decision-making, but a quite a few of these plays won’t translate to the next level. Then again, we said that about Mahomes’ play style in college. My biggest concern is some plays where a receiver is clearly open within the structure of the play, but Caleb just refuses to take it and only looks for the big downfield plays. It’s worth noting that some of these plays may be 3rd downs where he needs to get the first down, so that could be why. Also, some of the hero ball problems would likely be solved with a semi-competent defense. He had to score 45 points to win games
Don’t watch much college football but this looks like Johnny football 2.0, I struggle to see him making those plays with nfl defenders and I haven’t seen much indicating he can throw receivers open in the pocket except after he runs around long enough for them to go into the scramble drill. He’s also had issues with ego and im not sure he can handle early struggles without having a meltdown. I hope he succeeds and I’d be perfectly fine being wrong but these highlights scream nfl bust to me.
The best of these highlights involve his ability to elude the defense... something justin fields already does better than Williams will ever do. Most of these passes aren't all that impressive given how ridiculously open his receivers are. As a Bear fan, this highlight reel doesn't excite me much.
😂 You don't watch the tape or games fields do this but NEVER looks down field. If he do the same Fields do but LOOK down the field to still want to throw the ball why keep an expensive Fields. Also his arm is better what are we talking about kids here if the Bears don't draft a Qb there all getting fired next year because that's what Fields do get coaches fired
People are in the comments saying he won’t be able to scramble like this in the NFL but I don’t see Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahomes and Josh Allen having much trouble with that. Stop hating man
My only fear is he looks exactly like Zach Wilson witj BYU, he would get out the pocket and make these throws but could never do it in the NFL, I hope we build our team and lets worry about QB in later rounds if we must grab a QB there are diamonds in the rough look at Bagent
Bears fans over here all critical, But with Justin he’s the perfect an lmao They’re delusional as hell, I hope they keep Justin so the packers Can have the north for years to come 💯
The Bears already have a great athlete with an elite arm who holds the ball too long. I'm concerned about what he perceives as open and covered and how that will or will not translate to the pro game.
It's different though... Fields holds on to the ball just to run after his 1st read doesn't get open. Notice WIlliams eyes always looking downfield. Williams is about 100x the player FIelds ever was and is. TBH any of the QBs even Bo Nix would be a huge upgrade for Chicago. If they can get a 2nd for Fields..they will fleece the fuck out of any team dumb enough to do it while getting a new QB on a rookie contract that has superstar potential.
@@db212006”after his first read doesn’t get open” LMAO always easy to see who watches games and who just says what he hears other people saying based off comments like that
@@mlbCardsFan78 I've not only watched all his games, I've watched all his college tape too. Fields has the most time in the pocket year after year and gets sacked the most. YET bears fans still blame his OLINE cause he can't read a fucking defense. I know more about football in my pinky than you could ever imagine. I've scouted for a living. If you believe Fields can read a defense than you need to check your bias. Go watch more tape. Fields stares down his first WR, if he sees its not there he either takes off and runs or rolls out instead of stepping up to hopefully hit the crossing TE or WR if there is no lane for him to run. He also has a pretty deep ball. BUT he is probably one of the worst NFL QBs in the league right now. I can always tell who watches the games with a bias and doesn't know a thing about football when they comment dumb ass shit like this.
I’m liking it…. It looks like he likes to scramble…. So he should fit right in….his offensive line looks ours right now TRASH!!!!!…but he’s NICE!!!!!!!!!!{
Talent is there with williams. Only issue I see is he feels pressure when there isnt sometimes and his attitude towards the game. After one loss in college it seems he starts to break down and stop caring to win so we will see what happens.
If you’re a Bears fan who has been in hibernation like I have unwilling to subsidize franchise incompetence and greed it might be time to come out of hibernation. The Bears likely will draft either Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniels and both will be exciting players to watch in this league. Having NEVER had a HOF wideout I hope the Bears can snag Malek Nabers or Odunze at No. 9 and a good offensive linemen or two. Should be an exciting 2024 season hoping the new OC is up to the task.
@@ragingpirate5727 Exactly I believe in Poles, he is a very smart man. Which means he’s not gonna put his neck on the line for an inconsistent middle of the road QB going into year 4. Justin Fields 2023: • 46.2 QBR (23/30) • -0.009 EPA/Play (24/33) • 38.2 success rate (28/31) Oh and his 4th quarter QBR is last in the NFL. Why would things certainly change? Because of his flashes? He’s had flashes every year, after a game or two he’s reverted back t the same mistakes. He’s grown and is a starter, but his consistent inconsistency limits his ceiling. Maybe if we didn’t have the first pick in the draft, but we do. There’s little reason to keeping outside of “his potential” and “imagine him with MHJ.”

If im ranking the top 3 QBs... Daniels, williams, Maye. Sucks because im a pats fan and I want Daniels lol. Maybe we can swing a deal with chicago to move up if theyre thinking about taking Harrison jr. I think daniels doesnt get past the commanders.
Im going to say this since people dont have their own opinions anymore. Without the media, twitter, Instagram etc. You went out an scouted these guys you'd say wow Caleb williams made fantastic throws and magic BUT he didnt need to. He got nervous under ACC pressure constantly and struggle to throw into thight windows. Which in the nfl those levels of players you have to create those windows . Caleb Williams wouldnt even be in the top 10 conversation especially with that attitude vs Spencer Rattler No oline always made the throws at every level, mobile but doesnt just tuck and run for no reason high character and locker room guy after being a little shit. Definitely top 5 pick and you can go ahead and do this with Maye hes accurate but when he isnt boy he would throw many, many, many picks in the nfl a josh allen type turning the ball over constantly wont amount to anything in the league. Yes you can be flashy but like Brady said if you see your guy in double coverage and yoy can make that big play maybe it gets picked maybe it doesn't but why not check it down for 10 and keep taking yards. Brady career in a nutshell and patrick mahomes this last Superbowl. Now Daniels amazing athlete, average arm puts the ball on the money deep and mid range but when it comes to short range its not the best boardline atrocious. But he reads defense really well which is a shock moving safety's with his eyes and almost never stares down one or two receivers. The most starts in with different teams and offense in the draft so he has a good track record and experience which is crucial. People need to learn to do their own eye test.
Caleb Williams plays a lot like mahomes does. Extends plays with footwork and jukes, looks down field in the face of pressure. Let's see if he can elude pressure this well against nfl defenses. My guess is he becomes the "we have mahomes at home" quarterback of the NFL. Will make a few pro bowls, might win a ring on his rookie contract, but that'll be the peak.
Mahommes, Hurts do this all the time. Rushers will respect scrambling qb's and will protect lane integrity which gives qb's like him a few more secs in the pocket. I'd risk taking his projected ceiling which is as high as any qb in the nfl over playing it safe for a conventional qb
Bears better not fuck this up Draft this guy give up fields for more draft ammo sign Mike Evan’s to pair with DJ get Edge Rusher Dallas Turner to pair with Sweat n Boom 😮💨🔥
I don’t see him doing anything different than what Fields does. In fact it seems like he holds on to the ball just as long as Fields does. I don’t see where he is an upgrade. I’ll take a humble Fields who already knows the team
I’ve seen enough to know two things are certain…1, Caleb is the best QB in the draft by a landslide. 2. The Bear would be foolish to pass on him. However, i hope they do. #HTTC

He has tremendous awareness in and out of the pocket. Knows where the last second is before he has to throw. Its crazy.
After seeing this highlight , I'd keep fields and draft down with a major haul in picks
Cool. Thank god you’re not the GM
Fields couldn't make half of these throws man lol Enjoy the fact that the bears have been gifted an elite qb prospect with an 7-10 squad. Most #1 picks don't get that luxury.
@irish6783 dude is slow as hell and i dont see quick decision making dude your blind ....his footwork and dropback is trash
Dude is about to take 363892937 sacks and act like God while doing it
We are moving up to get him
Who is we?
I only wonder how is pocket presence, off-scripted plays, and escapability will translate against much faster, smarter defensive players and brilliant defensive coordinators. I guess we'll find out
This guy is the Lebron of the NFL I hope he goes to the Giants please God !!
He out there Giving crazy work at QB
While extending plays is great, doing that on a regular in the NFL typically doesn't happen. It's also bad to see that he didn't throw in under 3 seconds. I'm still not convinced.
Holy smokes. 😮
Holds on to the ball
To long.
100%. I cannot understand for the life of me why he is going #1. Mark my words this dudes game is not going to translate well.
Like if ur a bears fan and came to see what the hype is about 😅
I am, I did, and I don't see what the hype is about
@@marinoblocker HE'S a better QB than Feilds will ever be
This kids arm stays ready
He has to show that he can stay in the pocket and make accurate throws. He's great scrambling around ,making plays and finding guys. In the NFL, guys will smash him up doing all those scrambles.
The dude literally has to create and buy time on every single snap because nobody initially gets open.
Slower and smaller
Justin fields doesn’t progress through his reads like this young man , and that is something that you can’t coach up , Justin looks one way maybe 2 at times and it’s run
Some people saying he might be the next pat mahomes but he was coached by andy reid lets see him go somewhere and thrive under a less experienced coach
Proud Bears fan & this man is going to take Justin Fields spot 😂😂
Love to see his pocket awareness.. he will need every bit of those spidey senses when Washington signs him!!
It's the accuracy on the run 4 me or side arm throws etc. He throws 4rm core stomach muscles, that's what u want. Dolphins training Tua on that now
The arm talent is obviously elite.
Pocket awareness- elite
Arm strength- great
Deep accuracy- good
Med accuracy- elite
Speed- good
Elusiveness- elite
Attitude- poor
Don’t watch much college football but this looks like Johnny football 2.0, I struggle to see him making those plays with nfl defenders and I haven’t seen much indicating he can throw receivers open in the pocket except after he runs around long enough for them to go into the scramble drill. He’s also had issues with ego and im not sure he can handle early struggles without having a meltdown. I hope he succeeds and I’d be perfectly fine being wrong but these highlights scream nfl bust to me.
Johnny didn’t succeed because he drank and didn’t practice tho. Assuming Williams does he can atleast be as good as a Baker Mayfield type
He great at playing under distress, sum the bears r used to playing, only diff is that he’s good
Caleb will be good in the NFL if he gets drafted by a good organization
He needs faster screening in The NFL. Defenders are much more aggressive and stronger than in college
The best of these highlights involve his ability to elude the defense... something justin fields already does better than Williams will ever do. Most of these passes aren't all that impressive given how ridiculously open his receivers are. As a Bear fan, this highlight reel doesn't excite me much.
FIELDS needs to go...I like Daniels
😂 You don't watch the tape or games fields do this but NEVER looks down field. If he do the same Fields do but LOOK down the field to still want to throw the ball why keep an expensive Fields. Also his arm is better what are we talking about kids here if the Bears don't draft a Qb there all getting fired next year because that's what Fields do get coaches fired
@@rigdg3876you need to read this again and edit it some more. I almost had a brain aneurysm trying to read this lol
Doesn't excite me either. JF QB1 BEARS FRANCHISE QB. I'd be so disappointed to lose him and have to restart
We’re trading up for him
they should name this qb pacman! ive never seen a more elusive qb, ever. he makes kyler murray look like hes playing with arthritis!
People are in the comments saying he won’t be able to scramble like this in the NFL but I don’t see Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahomes and Josh Allen having much trouble with that. Stop hating man
Coming home to the dmv
Justin highlights are wayyyyy more exciting & hes wayyyyy faster. Hopefully this guy can read a defense & through dimes.
My only fear is he looks exactly like Zach Wilson witj BYU, he would get out the pocket and make these throws but could never do it in the NFL, I hope we build our team and lets worry about QB in later rounds if we must grab a QB there are diamonds in the rough look at Bagent
Bears fans over here all critical,
But with Justin he’s the perfect an lmao
They’re delusional as hell,
I hope they keep Justin so the packers
Can have the north for years to come 💯
Perfect qb*
We moving up to get him
Who is we
How much time he has is absolutely insane. Definitely not happening at the next level
love his footwork...dare I say Bruce Lee-ish?! Accuracy off the charts, on the run.
From this highlight alone, his accuracy seems like the most concerning thing for me.
The Bears already have a great athlete with an elite arm who holds the ball too long. I'm concerned about what he perceives as open and covered and how that will or will not translate to the pro game.
😂
@@db212006facts
Caleb Williams has more pocket awareness than the rest of these QBs lin this draft and plus Justin Fields and Mister Heisman
All I can say is if it’s Washington’s pick and he is still available, there is a 99% chance we taking him
Erick b and pm jr
Y’all not getting him lol, either the bears getting him or whoever the bears trade with getting him 🤣
@@Jay-ci4tothen we will pick the next qb ... Drake, Jayden, Bo, Michael P
@@Jay-ci4to na bears getting someone else
Y'all taking Maye. 😂 Patriots are taking Williams. And Bears are taking Harrison Jr.
I’m liking it…. It looks like he likes to scramble…. So he should fit right in….his offensive line looks ours right now TRASH!!!!!…but he’s NICE!!!!!!!!!!{
Frankly, this "highlight" reel isn't making him look as good as the pundits claim...
@3:53 be foreal y’all, if that’s fields in that situation what happens?
Can’t believe he’s really gonna be a Bear🥹
he won't be, poles is smarter than that
@@ragingpirate5727 Exactly I believe in Poles, he is a very smart man. Which means he’s not gonna put his neck on the line for an inconsistent middle of the road QB going into year 4. Justin Fields 2023:
• 46.2 QBR (23/30)
• -0.009 EPA/Play (24/33)
• 38.2 success rate (28/31)
Oh and his 4th quarter QBR is last in the NFL.
@@Big.steppa.reese0 what has Caleb done to prove anything? He’s a shorter, weaker and slower justin fields, not to mention he’s clearly weaker emotionally, a diva and a bad treat mate considering his teammates prefer his backup over him
@@ragingpirate5727Poles knows shit He passed on blue chip Carter last year when he basically was falling into his hands
@@deancorso4212 you realize he took the best right tackle in that draft and then took Dexter, who had similar stats to Carter, in the second round right? Carter has serious off the field issues and a team like the eagles was much better suited for him than the bears
bro holds the ball for 30 seconds every play
It will be interesting to see if this “elusiveness” leads to holding calls in the NFL. Not sure his game will translate
He’s like a combo between Justin fields and mahomes. Holds on to the ball forever and insane hero ball but can also create and is a td machine like mahomes as well as similar playstyle
He has to go to a team like WAS or NE that is rebuilding to succeed, Fields already experienced in NFL, just needs good coach and system
He gives me Mike Vick vibes when he was in college
NFL is a different Dog. Lots of faster smarter players. Lets hope he isn’t a bust
He's going to get hit doing all of those scrambles. He has to stay in the pocket more and make accurate throws.
He is a good qb if you want to do a broken play every passing down.
These highlights remind of Johnny Football. We all know how that turned out...
Caleb Williams plays a lot like mahomes does. Extends plays with footwork and jukes, looks down field in the face of pressure. Let's see if he can elude pressure this well against nfl defenses. My guess is he becomes the "we have mahomes at home" quarterback of the NFL. Will make a few pro bowls, might win a ring on his rookie contract, but that'll be the peak.
these comments are just ppl yapping lol Caleb is a great talent and NFL coaches will work on his flaws future top 3 NFL qb
Sometimes you got to do what you got to do fine job qb long as you getting something positive instead of negative yards then you alright with me
But can he throw in small windows
Holding that long in nfl will be sacks or turnovers he got a good arm tho
Mahommes, Hurts do this all the time. Rushers will respect scrambling qb's and will protect lane integrity which gives qb's like him a few more secs in the pocket.
I'd risk taking his projected ceiling which is as high as any qb in the nfl over playing it safe for a conventional qb
Bears better not fuck this up Draft this guy give up fields for more draft ammo sign Mike Evan’s to pair with DJ get Edge Rusher Dallas Turner to pair with Sweat n Boom 😮💨🔥
He drops back like mahomes to give himself more time to make reads. Extends plays with his legs. Let's see if he can do the same with the pros.
He's 6'1, another repeat of sam.if we don't get blockers.(Jayden Daniels please!!)
Makes no sense
🏴☠️
Who the hell is NO. 2!!!!! Gottaget THAT guy! That WR is the second coming of Steve Smith.
Jerry Rice’s son, Brenden Rice
@@Ace30. Well that explains alot!
Anybody else think that he is like Patrick mahomes mixed with Lamar Jackson in a qb and the build of dak Prescott
A lot of these defenders look slow, in nfl this won’t work running with the ball untucked and 1 handed. Mhj me please for the bears
Bust!!!
Washington all day
This highlight reel is literally him doing exactly what Justin fields does in NFL rn lol
I don’t see him doing anything different than what Fields does. In fact it seems like he holds on to the ball just as long as Fields does. I don’t see where he is an upgrade. I’ll take a humble Fields who already knows the team
He's no cj stroud. I just watched his highlights they were all elite throws in tight windows. Caleb it's just running alot
U are yapping lol
You need some dam glasses then
I’ve seen enough to know two things are certain…1, Caleb is the best QB in the draft by a landslide. 2. The Bear would be foolish to pass on him. However, i hope they do. #HTTC
