As an Australian I am embarrassed by Penny Wong`s speach and Australia`s position in regard to this conflict. The reality is Australia is no longer allowed to speak for its self. Australia must temper every thing it does and says to ensure it does not upset its big brother - the USA! Pathetic!

That process is starting as Australia doesn’t recognise US policy on Israel at the moment.
The US is going down a path we can’t proceed with them.
Genocide of Palestinians is a bridge too far. The Americans are on notice.

I don't know if you are actually an Australian...honestly I have my doubts about you... but I most definitely am Australian... grandson of a WW2 veteran who defended us against Imperial Japan. And as such I find what you say to be one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. One of the reasons that John Curtin is our greatest Prime Minister is that he recognized that our future was best secured by aligning with America.
While a lot of things have changed since his day... that actually has not. So long as Trump does not return to the White House, America continues to be our best hope of preserving our entire way of life against the tyranny of the likes of China and Russia, who regard democracy as an existential threat to their respective dictators' hold on power.
I would love to see Australia be strong enough to be able to stand up to every possible threat on its own... but that's not the world we live in, and so we need to choose the allies who will best ensure our way of life is preserved. And right now America is still our strongest ally.
But I doubt anything I say will move you... it's clear that 'AMERICA BAD' has become your entire personality.

@@HZIZ41 There is far more to the story than simply making broad generalisations. A study conducted by Griffith University found that Aboriginal groups are as genetically distinct from one another as Caucasians are from Asians. From my understanding of both historical records and my own family history, different Aboriginal groups come from diverse regions, each with unique stories, experiences, and cultural practices. These differences extend to how historical events are preserved, such as in their storytelling traditions or the remembrance of Dreamtime.
For instance, my ancestors had agreements with specific Aboriginal groups in certain regions of Australia. For privacy reasons, these areas will not be named here. Although I am a proud Australian, some of my ancestors were killed by Aboriginal people from different lands and cultural backgrounds. These particular groups had their own Dreamtime beliefs and historical context, which differed greatly from the Aboriginal groups my ancestors had agreements with. Those groups, in contrast, were welcoming and maintained a friendly relationship with my family. There was mutual respect and cooperation, with my ancestors sharing technological advancements with them. Even today, these Aboriginal people continue to preserve the memory of my ancestors through praise, storytelling, and art, holding them in high regard.
From my perspective, challenges arise when external influences distort historical truths, creating a narrative that may not align with the lived experiences of many generations. Such revisions can fuel misunderstandings and promote discord, particularly when they do not reflect the shared histories of those involved.

Tactically and strategically displaying how Australia and ilks have addressed disputes and conflicts over the years for the world to copy under reformed UN rules. She must be revered by her people for her confidence. However, she was skeptical about who made the UN rules, who alters it and who it favours. There has always being a ground order on which the UN works and most not deviate from it despite countries calling for responsible, collective and share reform by the people of the promised land.

Into the speech to mention. Our nation's stance on Israel's breeches of international law is horrific. We must sanction Israel. There is no pride in genocide. Boycott does not mean abstaining from voting. For a peaceful, stable, prosperous world for all... Including colonised people from Palestine, first nations of Australia, Canada and the USA. She is emphatic about the humanitarian issue and it’s a very critical and important issue to emphasize. She definitely says everything I hear other leaders talk about. @@lizzaroyal957 well, in all fairness US President and the UK Prime Minister had my heart singing song, but yeah Penny Wong, did pretty good too, anyone who speaks on the World Stage and has something thoughtful to share, is pretty cool in my book. Penny Wong delivers speeches how she does, and her delivery style is so direct, just putting things to you, assertive. Although, I would have liked Australia’s speech to have taken a slight different representation, a more in your face approach, were Australia, were ahead of the game ya’ll wish to be able to grasp, we got so much cool stuff going, our Defence capabilities are far from a mere science fiction novel, we roll with the big dawgs the US, alongside the Commonwealth, and would be way cooler to see the world work their stuff out, before putting more boots into adversaries. We know how to pass a footy and set a person up to score a try, and that’s what we want for everyone, to bee good sports, have sportsmanship, no playing silly duffers, just be real, through and through, true blue mate. All we want is to agree that we should stop the bloodshed and violence, to get along as mates sharing all the cool stuff our cultural differences make unique about ourselves to appreciate, not seek to eliminate, Get ya head on your shoulders, and let’s party on, until we probably shouldn’t for health and well-being reasons or we’re simply all partied out. I think, specific outcomes might include less foreign interference from non-state actors who do not have Australia’s best interests at heart and in mind. Thus, might be the outcome of better decisions made by Government, if lobbyist pressures were less severe and not drowning out the voices of the Australian people. Perhaps the outcome might foster, the voices of the Australian people to be heard better from the ground up, placing all on an even playing field.

Although a lot of what Mrs Wong says is logical and sensible, I have to disagree wholeheartedly with her statement about female promotion.
I strongly believe a lot of the mess the world is in, is as a direct result of past positive discrimination.
The world needs to move very rapidly to a consensus of meritocracy, and not pulled down by a world driven by equal rights regardless of qualification.
Most of the world accepts women as having the right to stand for any public office. Once that has been established then meritocracy should immediately become the priority. This already takes place in the ballot box. If women, people of colour, or any other physical characteristic is not met with democratic approval, then particularly in the case of women, it is generally because they are not good enough, (given that half of the electorate are, in fact, women).
Anything other than that is the equivalent of demanding that half of the cricket team must be visually impaired. It is regressive.

My dear Mark, Do you not know, or have you not heard, how difficult it is for a very qualified woman to climb the ladder sorta speak. You have no idea of the challenges before us in our vocations that we are quite qualified for, sometime or most ofter over qualified. Less women who make their living on their looks or sex appeal. We pay our dues and then some. We bring what the other half of mankind needs. We are a compliment, not just home makers or domestic managers, baby makers or mothers. Also an honorable vocation. If you read the last Chapter of Proverbs in the Old Testament, you will note, that the virtuous woman described by it, was a business woman of her own. She considered a field, she planted, she ran a business, she was innovative and creative, her own works praise her at the gates.

America does not presume to know what is best for everyone, just as we would not presume to pick the outcome of a peaceful election. But I do have anunyielding belief that all people yearn for certain things: the ability to speak your mind and have a say in how you are governed; confidence in the rule of law and the equal administration of justice; government that is transparent and doesn't steal from the people; the freedom to live as YOU CHOOSE.
