this is a great beggining to a new PoP saga, the battle controls remind me of the warrior withing while it has a great feeling in the movements, this game is solid!
But where is Radjen? She is the only one of the Immortals who allied with Vahram that you do not face throughout the game. Is she still alive or did she die in a scripted scene?

the fight between Sargon and menolias makes me think of the fight between ichigo and byakuya in their bankai forms

No, these are all the main bosses. The ones you saw are not really boss fights. They are normal enemies that you will fight later multiple times.
