I like the idea that Chien-Pao is the one singing this. The voice just fits. Also I can easily imagine the verse at 1:22 being a morale booster of sorts for our favorite animals of mass destruction. Singing that verse over and over again inside the capsule(cave?) they were kept in for at least 2000 years. To remember the ones that they share a common goal with as well as origin.

I like how the voiceover has the strange,corrupted echo to it,as if the ruinous quarters were singing it and the hatred and magic (maybe) holding them together were to weaken and they'd kinda die,or explode from hatred.

I really like the characterisation
It's not like some evil characters who are doing bad but think they are good, the treasures fully know how horrible they are
It's not like evil characters who know that what they are doing is bad but are remorseful about it, "you gotta do what you gotta do, it's my destiny" kinda mentally, they fully want to spread strife and disorder
And it's not like they are doing it with a goal in mind, to accomplish something or out of revenge to someone, they are evil and horrible just because.
Their simplicity makes them more terrifying, as there is absolutely no reasoning with them.

And they're more than happy to throw it back in the faces of the player character that they're this way because mankind MADE THEM this way.

I loved this! But I kinda wish there was a little verse for each of the treasure of ruin. Like, Wo-Chien would get the first verse, then Ting-Lu would get second, Chien-Pao would get third, Chi-Yu would get fourth, and everyone would sing at the same time at the end. Just a thought for a extended version. (:

My ranking of which treasure would be singing if this was specifically sung by only one of them.
1:Wo-Chien. Most fitting to their personality.
2: Chien-Pao. Most fitting to their vocal range.
3: Ting-Lu. Has the best singing voice.
4: Chi-Yu. This fish does not do musical theatre. They do arson.

Not only that, the Ruinous Quartet is also somewhat similar to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Most notably Wo-Chien as Famine/Pestilence (it seems to suck the life out of its surroundings) and Chien-Pao as War/Conquest (literally has a weapon as a part of their body).

IMO, if these Pokemon were really meant to strike a lot of fear and be powerful enough to take down an entire kingdom, they should've been on that Cynthia level of difficulty, or perhaps more difficult. I would've started them base at level 100, and probably stat tweaked as well... with the best movesets they can have... But that's just what I would've done. XD Great lyrics though! :)

@@JayStudios_ And, their power likely scales with their respective emotion. I doubt there is as much negative emotions around them as when they were in the presence of the emperor everyone hated.
Also, from what we see in legends arceus, what we would recognize as trainers are a relatively new development - I would guess that what might be considered a fairly strong trainer and team of 'mons by modern standards would likely have been very rare back in their day.
Back in the day, the treasures could have brought the kingdom to ruin, both by what they imply and by the power they bear.

Heck, I'm fully of the opinion that paldea's whole "many champions" thing is, albeit long-separated, an answer to the issue the treasures pose - without a guardian Legendary to protect the region, Paldea's league seeks to forge a force of strong protectors. And with this goal, they have surpassed even the greatest fears of the ancients.
The Gen 9 music all sounds pretty similar but CRAZY fast and CRAZY.
It did NOT have to go that hard but it did and it SLAPS.

I generally don't like when they make pokemon with evil traits, however for this they are created by human feelings to get Rrvenge, they're story shows it's not so simple what makes people act bad, and they can however be calmed.
