My dear Pakistani both are discuss about Bhagat Singh just formality. I give true story first Pakistani Punjabis do not regard Bhagat Singh as a hero. After independence, Pakistan became a pro-Islamic state where invaders like Ghauri and Mehmood Ghaznavi became textbook heroes but since Bhagat Singh was not a Muslim, he was not widely discussed in textbooks. Bhagat Singh was born in a place which is in today’s Pakistan.
In 2012, the Mian Shahbaz Sharif-led Punjab government in Pakistan tried to name a chowk in Lahore after Bhagat Singh. When the right-wing mullahs found out, they protested and forced the government to reverse their decision. Defying all pressures, the Punjab government renamed Shadman Chowk as Bhagat Singh Chowk in his honour.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah fought case for Bhagat Singh but unfortunately he was executed on 23rd March, 1931. Muhammad Ali Jinnah admired the legacy of Bhagat Singh by saying “There had never been any brave person in the subcontinent like Bhagat Singh”. I need your comments regards.
