- This is a review of the classic metal lunchbox made by Stanley. The Stanley classic steel lunchbox is a simple durable metal lunchbox that is made the same way as they were 50 years ago. Stanley has continued to make this classic design, lunchbox, and people love it. In this video, I show you all of the features of the Stanley lunchbox, and I also measure the size of this Stanley classic metal lunchbox so that you know how tall and wide it is. The Stanley metal lunchbox has one latch to hold it shut, and in the lid there is a metal clip that holds a thermos in place if you want to have a drink in your lunch. Stanley makes two sizes of classic, steel lunchboxes, and this one is the smaller one. If you want a bigger one, there is a 10 quart one with two latches on it. The Stanley steel classic lunchbox in this video is a 5.5 quart model. That is big enough for my lunch.

I have the big one. LOVE IT!!! I carry it to work every day, and it holds enough for 2 days if you pack it right.

I love mine. I use the LunchBlox system of food containers and freeze blocks. It's as though they were made for this lunch box.

@@hoohoohoblin the the old Stanley thermoses are unbeatable too. I saw a comparison and thermoses from the '60s kept stuff hotter then the newer ones. It was very interesting to see that

I have the large one. I HATE the plastic handle! Everything else is perfect. I can't stand that they didn't use a metal handle. I keep looking for a replacement.

How durable is it? I need something durable but would also like it to offer some insulation.
It’s reasonably tough, but not super strong. It’s made of thin steel. They really should make an insulated liner for it.

What thermos did you put on top?
I don’t know. I’ve had that one for years, and it doesn’t have any namebrand on it. It’s some kind of generic thermos.
Try a model # 2264 s King Seely Thermos . Nothing beats the King . They're prized possessions all over the world . Kind of like # 747 staplers .

The thermos holder IS SO LOUD and the handle is as well.

True. Enjoy the sound. The thermos holder is removable.
Buy the classic black plastic Alladin that looks like that and then the model 2264s stainless steel King Seely thermos that fits in the lid . They were made for each other and in my openion nothing beats that King .
