Literally when I came out to my best friend as bi… she just started immediately making gay jokes and it was like nothing ever changed lol. She comes out to eat with me and my fiancée ect. So this feels realistic lol

Felt a bit strange to me. Not her coming out to her roommates, but the fact that she is immediately okay with being out in front of everybody. But I also understand they didn't want to repeat last year storyline.

I wish she gradually came out to the rest of the school. Her coming out to everyone on campus felt really rushed to me. I know it doesn't need to be "announced" or anything, especially in this day and age, but it would have been interesting to see her go over that obstacle, since she broke up with Alicia last season MAINLY because she wasn't open about her sexuality.
I think since Nico isn't on campus anymore it was easier for her to fully step out but I think now that she's in the sorority we may get a visit from her mom, which will be difficult for her since she's not out to her family.
Love these characters and show but this felt really rushed given her experience in the last season. Season 2 in general just feels like the pacing is off and the conflicts are a bit more surface level
They went on a break from school which is usually like a month or two we just didn’t get to see that which probably makes it feel rushed also I rather that than them waiting another season for her to come out
@@baileywaler771 I'm pretty sure thanksgiving break is usually just a week at most, just feels like a short time for her to suddenly have the confidence to put a label on things. Maybe they'll explore this more in the coming episodes, for now just felt inconsistent

But as @Bailey Waler said, they did go on break, so there is a lot we didn't see, and a lot of things can change in a few months I guess what doesn't sit right with me is, we were told that Leighton worked through her stuff and accepted her sexuality, not shown. And considering her plot last season, I guess I was expecting to see the whole process.
@QueerComrade I definitely think her mom is going to be a massive issue sometime later this season. While her dad isn't the brightest guy, I don't see him ever turning on his little girl. Mom, though?? Woman's a freaking iceberg. Reminds me a lot of my late best friend's mom all too well. There's a nice spot in hell waiting on her (I HOPE). EDIT: She basically cut ties with my friend and ordered e1 else to go along with her. My friend drank herself into a grave within a year.
