This is a great show. There's also Gadget Man which is essentially the same sort of thing but mostly focusing on gadgets, toys and futuristic home devices. It was hosted by Stephen Fry in the first series and then Richard. In fact, Gadget Man was practically the precursor to Travel Man as they haven't had another series of Gadget Man since 2015.
Every episode of this show is hugely entertaining, Richard makes it glorious whoever the companion is. I do love when he travels with Noel Fielding, though.
Both my parents died when I was very young and I had to find places to live with other members of the family which was very diverse and spread all over the globe. But when I was able to make it on my own I came back to the UK, where my mother was from. One of the reasons I decided to make the UK my home was because 1, I could speak English. 2, it was just so cheap and easy to visit other european countries. In the USA you can take a 5 hour plane journey and still be in the same country looking at the same shit. But from the UK I could hop on a plane and in just 1 hour be in a whole different country with, different art, style, food.
Ngl, I absolutely hated Vienna when I went there 5-ish years ago. I kinda hoped this would change my opinion a bit but it really hasn't. Fun to watch, though. I'd love to see the Mel Giedroyc episode - she's a bit eccentric in the best way 😁
This was a great programme, but there were one or two where the chemistry between them didn't quite work, Jon Hamm and Paul Rudd spring to mind. I don't think they knew who Ayoade was, so his type of humour passed them by a little. Rebel Wilson tried too hard to be funny but was just embarrassing really. Noel Fielding was very good, being great friends with Richard, Greg Davies (St. Petersburg, I think) and Katherine Ryan (New York) also very good.🌍👜
One of the editors of the show said that Paul Rudd was a fan of Richard's already, from his acting, directing and writing work. Personally, I thought the Paul Rudd ep was a good one. It very much felt like he was playing along with Richard’s personality.
That was a nice day at the fair wasn't it? With Brandi and Crystal...
Such a good series! You need to watch the Paul Rudd episode as well, it’s my fav! 😊
Would love you to react to more of these! The guest often makes the show in my opinion
EDIT: Paul Rudd was brilliant

Meanwhile, in 2021...
I have no idea why I personally feel so awkward when Chris drops the snow globe -- it wasn't my fault.
First he was joking but he drops it.
Sounds like you have a bad case of empathy! Not so common these days, and should be stamped out mercilessly.
Disappointed they put it in the intro though.
Aw brilliant! This is fantastic. You’ll have to watch the one with Noel Fielding next! Really funny😊
You'd enjoy the Bob Mortimer one also!
I'm pretty sure he did one with Paul Rudd as well

I love how Chris pretended to drop the snow globe and then… he did!
9:34 Definitely don't talk about his grandson lol..
You need to watch the Johnny Vegas episode where they go to Dubai
Nice one Taffe. I haven’t seen that one before. I have seen a few though. When Chris dropped that globe I screamed! ……..
there is a Bob Mortimer one in Hamburg
Do them all bud, its a brilliant show!
YEEEES!! im so excited to se this!! hope u make this into a series. These are great!
There is an awesome extra long episode with Jon Hamm where they go to China i believe
I've been to Vienna so i really enjoyed this, it's the first time i've watched this show and i would love to see more.
I'd personally be down for any episode of travel man as they all have some good moments, plus Richard just makes that show as a host
There’s one with Bob Mortimer too
Man, I wish I had Richard Ayaode's quick wit
Really enjoy this loved part where Chris broke snow globe. I would be open to see more of this big thumb ups from me
I’ve never seen this show before, but looking at the list of episodes, I’d say the Bob Mortimer, Lee Mack and Frank Skinner one looks fun 👍🏻
Frank Skinner was great! As was Lee Mack. I can´t remember Bob´s episode but it´s a fun show for sure.
love travel man :)
6:28 EXACTLY . Dick...Dickey!!!
"an thats pre ultravox yall"
I remember the Adam Buxton episode being good. But Adam Buxton is always great.
EDIT: oh and Mel Giedroyc too, but again I just love Mel Giedroyc.
Yes! Buckles is massively underrated!!
@@deanlearner1565 He was the best ever guest host of a Never Mind the Buzzcocks, too.
The John Hamm episode is the best Travel Man episode for me.
Snowglobe Erwin is the DOPPELGÄNGER of my school physics teacher!
This is such a good and fun series and I will say the one with Greg Davies is a fun one! But they’re all pretty great.
It's a hotel me!!!
Dreaming of the day Noah drops the "possible" from his intro.... Dude, you know lots of ladies watch your videos.
Oh I know it's just more of a joke on my viewerbase being very predominantly male.
@@taffe316 OK fair enough. As long as you know you have a lot of amigas, I'll let it go for now!
Chris shouldn't have faked dropping the snow globe to begin with....

You've reacted to the IT crowd before right? Surprised that wasn't your first comment
I like Ayoade but never bothered watching this before, it seemed to be aimed at the 18-34 which sadly I narrowly miss out on... But that was alright.
Tsk, you seventeen year olds!
@@ajivins1 he's called Paul no way hes 17 he's 40
