I watched some older videos of the channel. it's an Indian dude doing the VO for older videos. He seems to have switched recently. I'd rater prefer the human indian to AI VO
It also says "Dee-bee-an" and "Sooz", instead of the correct "Deb-ian" (named after 'Deborah' and 'Ian') and "Sooz-ah" (the German pronunciation of Suse).
Be proud bro, there's nothing shameful with sounding Indian. You don't need to use a (paid?) voiceover that can't even pronounce the name of a software the same twice in a row 😶
Great video. For info, Debian is pronounced Deb-Ian after it's original creator Ian Murdock and his girlfriend (and later his wife) Deborah (Debbie). So it's short for Debbie Ian or Debian.
hes using an ai voice to do all the talking and its doubtful he even listened to his own video to check all the errors. would rather these videos disappeared.
Thanks for the video info on Linux. This looks to be AI read script, most of the pronounciations are incorrect, openSUSE is pronounced as "open SooooS" by AI but actually it is "open SooZa", similarly it is not Lye-Nux its LeeNux
Fedora is great compromise between innovation and stability. Despite more often updates, it feels very stable to me and you get all the goodies from new stuff.
the VO says at the end : as you can see , each distribution has it s own unique features," .. well you didn t spend any time telling us about those features / poor vid, superficial, plus the AI voice, plus the omission of other stable distros! clicked on terminal 1.5 secs
Debian is NOT pronounced DEE-bian. It is Debbie and Ian that created this OS (husband and wife). Ian has passed away, though the distro continues. Do you call a woman with the name Debbie... Dee-bie?? I think Not!
Since Linux is word combination of Unix and Linus, you could validly pronounce it 4 ways (considering Unix has a long U and a short I sound, and Linus has short U and a long I sound). Lin-ux, Line-ux, Lin-oox, and Line-oox could all be considered valid: the first I hear used mostly, the second sometimes. The last two I haven't heard, but that does not invalidate them. People can't even be consistent with tomato and potato: what chance does Linux have. Considering the pronunciation variances in this video, we can at least agree that the voice does not have biological origins.
Linux needs to up it's game more than ever right now because people need the alternative to windows and mac after their shiddy business practices lately. It's at this time windows is starting to attempt to brick peoples computers so you have to get their holy windows 11 or your a heretic kind of behavior. They stop support for windows 10 so that means in windows terms opening the floodgates to the worst malware and viruses the internet has to offer and some from windows themselves because they want you off windows 10.... I'm tired of this new digital landscape so I am hoping linux has an answer
VO says 'Lie-nux' and 'Lee-nux'. Is this an AI voice?
I'd agree with you. most likely AI VO
I watched some older videos of the channel. it's an Indian dude doing the VO for older videos. He seems to have switched recently. I'd rater prefer the human indian to AI VO
Funny, the same thought crossed my mind.
It also says "Dee-bee-an" and "Sooz", instead of the correct "Deb-ian" (named after 'Deborah' and 'Ian') and "Sooz-ah" (the German pronunciation of Suse).
And "Genome" lol.
That robot has TERRIBLE pronunciation
Who's Linus? Isn't he part of the Peanuts gang?
And terrible knowledge
Who the hell says Ubuntu is stable?
Be proud bro, there's nothing shameful with sounding Indian. You don't need to use a (paid?) voiceover that can't even pronounce the name of a software the same twice in a row 😶
I thought I was the only one who noticed that. lol

obviously a dumb ai production that has been saturating yt
Me like some of that Dibian :-)
hes using an ai voice to do all the talking and its doubtful he even listened to his own video to check all the errors. would rather these videos disappeared.
He said Ubuntu is stable
That's an AI
hahahaha lol, best comment xd
sTaBle :-s
I laugh for ubuntu ha

That's a very short list and when they said Ubuntu, my eyebrows went up. That should have been number 5.
Faltou esta, nessa, lista o ótimo MX linux. ( É base debian stable, solido e robusto)
E ao em vez de falar do MX, falou do Ubuntu, que é literalmente a pior distribuição possível apenas por existir
No zorin, no fedora.. useless research..
What about Fedora
Fedora might be very stable, but it focus is innovation
Fedora is great compromise between innovation and stability. Despite more often updates, it feels very stable to me and you get all the goodies from new stuff.
@@TomLeunam it seems far more stable than Ubuntu to me
Never said it was unstable...
it was more a critique on the "top 5 most stable"
Can you do immutable version?
Definitely
So you couldn't use a more updated LLM to write this for you?
the VO says at the end : as you can see , each distribution has it s own unique features," ..

what is this pronunciation? unbearable to hear.
The best Linux for now is Pardus, which is Debian based.
debian and stale....maybe, i momorised that yes....debian is stable with antic software and kernel
Mint best what i use
You pronounced Linux at least 3 different ways.
Since Linux is word combination of Unix and Linus, you could validly pronounce it 4 ways (considering Unix has a long U and a short I sound, and Linus has short U and a long I sound). Good video
Thanks
What about MX Linux?
MX is a fork of Debian, so is almost as stable as Debian.
This is definitely an AI Voice !! 😂
Leenix. Lynux. Linux. Lienux.
This guy is either a troll or AI. Skip.
no NixOS?
Linux needs to up it's game more than ever right now because people need the alternative to windows and mac after their shiddy business practices lately. NixOs is most stable of the most stable distro
perhaps .... but how is the robot going to pronounce NixOs? It may go into meltdown.
Fedora - should be here
deeeeebium??? line-ux?…. dude wtf!
Hard to take video seriously that cannot even pronounce the distros or “Lean-Ickes”
Only suse linux tumbleweed, nothing else.
If only you could figure out how to pronounce it.
LEENUX
Gee nome 😂
Fedora
nah, id go with skibidios
wrong
