I am so happy I found your channel, it brings me back to my youth in Minnesota when I trapped as a young boy. I trapped, muskrats, fox, weasel, mink and the occasional skunk. In the late sixties I recall one year making over a thousand dollars trapping and selling the pelts to Berman Buckskin. I can't help but think as I prepare to retire if I lived in a conducive area for trapping if I wouldn't start trapping again. Great exercise and your out doors. Thanks again.
Great job .. I think I would have to fork out the money and get one of those fisher mounted . Good job on the cat . 81 and still kick a** on the trapline . Hats off to ya Sir .. Im 64
Just found you, love your show. Your opinion of domestic cats is very true, they are killers. We need a recipe for cat stew or something. Anyway, great looking fisher and weasel. Hello, from West Virginia.
Back in the 1970's I caught a wild cat in a 330 Conibear and when I first saw it, it scared the heck out of me because it was so big I thought I caught someone's dog. It was kind of slate gray color and had legs almost the thickness of a bobcat.
You're right about domestic and feral cats they kill everything. When I was younger in farm country like your area i would catch a lot in a new area and next summer/fall lots of cottontail rabbits and pheasants would be there where they were not before.
The game commissions had did a study on house cats and listed the amounts and types of song birds and animals that they kill per year. They were astronomical amounts. In Australia feral cats are fair game right along with rabbits. 365 days of the year.
WOW Denny, those are pretty small / short stakes for holding coyotes ! If I used that - they would pull it out and be gone would be my luck ! I use 1/2" rebar 36" long to stake cables for coyotes

I’m watching you from Panama City Florida,USA. 🇺🇸🦅 ! No Snow Just Breeze ! It’s 61*F here and I’m freezing.
I like the new hat. But nothing beats the old Trebark camo hat. I love that camo. One of the best camo patterns ever made in my opinion.
Great job and congrats on the fishers
Thank you

That cat was something. I just read up on our trapping laws in MA, pretty much outlawed which sucks. We’ve got lots of nice Fisher here.

When the ground gets frozen we just use 10 inch x1/4 inch nails, holds em in our ground

@ hi Shane. Yes I am out checking traps every other day.
That’s a piss poor excuse.
