- Scattered work. Bad weather prevents Rusty steed work somewhat. Sort out workshop to build drawers for the lathe stand. Holdups around every corner,so I decided to start building the first steam engine. A wig-wag engine. Made a surface plate.

Good advice from others Andre. Tackle one job at a time. Try not to have too many projects on the go all at once. The wobbler engine is a very good one to start with. I did and learnt a lot from building it. My best wishes to you and your family for the upcoming wedding. Cheers Nobby
Thanks for the tips! Yes. I know the wobble engine is probably not going to be a big challenge. It will however show me what I need to improve and get or make for future engines. Got to start somewhere. My life will hopefully settle soon. It’s chaotic to say the least. I prefer working on one thing at a time. Well just hopefully a little push more and then I can focus more and better. He he
Looks like it will be an interesting build Andre. Not many of us can profess to being experts at a lot of the things we do, but we at least try :) Hope the preparation for your daughters wedding goes smoothly.

Keep chipping away at the jobs, don't look at the big picture just FOCUS on bite size chunks.
I wasn't annoyed, just a bit of BANTER, i never get annoyed.
As for the equipment, you don't need a workshop full of "Bee's Knee's!" tooling to make good working projects. i have'nt.

Just work to the instructions Ade supplied you with and you will be fine, just remember on any project if you adjust sizes on drawings your working to, it can have a knock on effect further down the line. Just something to bear in mind

You are right. I have decided to keep to the drawing. Especially as it’s the first one.

One step at a time and gradually it gets done. You’ll work through it all. Prioritize, finish one thing, move on to another thing. Just like eating an elephant. One bite at a time. Good luck and best wishes.

Yeah just my thought as well. I know I can probably build a more complex engine, but I want to start at the beginning.
Try finishing one task before starting another task. I think you will find that rewarding.
