He is right, I can tell much like the D40LF during takeoff. Interesting that they put a partition between the side seats and the 5 seater. This is just to show that no one can put their feet on a seat due to keep it clean and respect.
I've rode on 2007 NewFlyer D60LFRs in Honolulu. They are Bus numbers 142 - 150. The 2006 NewFlyer has an original battery pack design. The 2007 NewFlyer D60LFR has a small HVAC system in the back of the bus. The 2009 NewFlyer DE60LFR uses a low profile battery pack.
There's also the 301 that partally runs down 17th Ave and turns around at the Westside rec center. Don't know where it goes after it turns on 37th though.

I kinda wish we had actual express bus services here in Calgary, like having absolutely no stops between Harvest Hills and Downtown, and the bus travels down the freeway instead of Center Street. They should also put a bus only lane on Deerfoot.
man im banned off of calgary transit cuz back in 03 i bought an autococker paintball gun and took it out of the box on the bus to show my friend and the passengers were to stupid to think it was a paintball gun and screamed and it went from there but yeah i miss riding the bus
It's not the fact that the buses are shitty, it's the Way NYCTA tweaks their buses! They're all about "safety" but they fail to realize by governing buses from 30-40 mph (local) and 50-60 mph (express), you are putting more lives at risk, especially when a local route has to use the highway on a daily routine!
Because we have a transit system that is expanding service, and using bendy busses to lower the number of busses needed per route? I don't get why Calgary sucks because of a good public transit system.
Our system sucks only because it is so under-utilized and thus cannot provide efficient service. Just look, this bus is driving through the core at midday and it is empty. So sad, in Vancouver it would be packed.

lol, me and my friends nearly rode the free fare train down 7th avenue a few times. We also nearly went on a random bus to see where it went lol.

MT won't retrofit the VIIs with the D864. The D60LFRs are supposedly coming with the Cummins ISM and Voith D864.
i noticed those buses have engines that really pick up and go. The older buses and the orion buses seem to have slow accelleration.

Calgary transit is not very good because of how spread out the city is. we are the same geographic size as New York, with 1/8 the population!
