Avril is a really great singer but underrated because people think of her stereotypically. She used to be a role model for teenagers, and then changed automatically into pink "pop-punk princess". Despite her really impressive abilities, like high notes and no playback even once along whole career, she had a few of immature and let's just say stupid songs, which don't help her being seen by people as a true artist. I love all her music, but I can see why others don't.
The sad part is that those "stupid songs" were written by hired guns brought in by the record company to push her "mother effing princess" image. Makes me cry.
