When you talk about missing direct USB-C functionality, does that mean like USB-C on the mic to USB-C on the computer? Is there any drawback to the 3.5mm to USB-C? Great review overall looks like a great product too!
Thank you! Yes, that is what I mean. The main disadvantage is that you have to use that short cable and there is no specific software for it like with Rode.
Whenever I record, the first few seconds are loud and have lots of background noise, but the rest of the clip is perfect, how can I stop this from happening?
The Panasonic S5IIX can record photos to SSD, right? Is there a difference in the amount of photos saved in burst mode to SSD and SD before runnung out of buffer?
Anything that uses that default Chinese font is a 100% no-go for me; if they couldn't even give a damn to change the font, the software is definitely garbage. Don't even need to watch the video since I just saw that font at like 1 minute in, so I'm commenting for the algorithm. Love your videos!
Thanks for the video. This system is approximately £100 more expensive than the Rode and DJI alternatives according to the current Amazon prices that you linked to. As such, it represents extremely poor value for money considering that, unlike those other units, it does not offer internal recording. Prices go up and down, of course, but that pricing seems a little crazy. The Blink seems more comparable in features to the original Rode Wireless Go or perhaps the recent Rode Wireless ME which is even cheaper (by £200!). I also think that the lack of internal recording in ANY wireless system these days is a non-starter, really. Thanks again.
I don't know where is that link redirecting you, it doesn't work well outside US, but it is not more expensive. It is $79 cheaper than DJI Mic (B2S without microphones). It is definitely not comparable to Original Rode Wireless GO. Internal recording is just one of the features, it has some advantages over both DJI and Rode, as explained in the video. For example, no display on transmitter units is a deal-breaker for me, whilst I never use internal recording, so it depends on the preferences. You're welcome!
@@TheHybridShooter Did you remove my reply to your reply? If so, that's pretty bad form. There was nothing wrong with the post. I've always enjoyed your channel, but this is disappointing. I'll have to unsub now. Pity. My friend, NEVER fear the truth unless you wish enslavement to its opposite.
@@HeathcliffBlair No, I haven’t removed anything. The comment that I am replying to now was in the spam filter, I guess that the phrase “NEVER fear the truth…” is an excellent spam filter trigger :) I don’t see any other withheld comments.
@@TheHybridShooter OK. Let's say it was youtube erroneously spam blocking it. No sweat. I take back what I said and offer an apology for the touchy tone of my response. Cheers. 🙂

Good brand and getting even better.

I have never tried that, it has huge 200 RAW buffer, so you shouldn’t need more in real world applications.

Thank you! As the old saying goes, judging a book by its cover may be a mistake. I am pretty sure that it is in this case.
