One of my few regrets is not seeing all these guys together when I could have. I will be seeing Jeff Lynne’s ELO in October. I love Jeff, but all these guys will be missed.
What about Louis Clark?, although he wasn't a musician with E.L.O., Lou's orchestral arrangements were a vital part of the E.L.O. sound from the 1974 "Eldorado" album to the end of the 1970's. Sadly now E.L.O.'s keyboards wizard, Richard Tandy has passed away too. Hugh McDowell also played cello and Moog synthesiser in Roy Wood's band Wizzard in 1972 and 1973, disillusioned with his role in Wizzard, Hugh rejoined Jeff Lynne to replace Colin Walker as E.L.O.'s second cellist along side Mike Edwards. Mike left E.L.O. soon afterwards and he was in turn replaced by Melvyn Gale.
Ammettetelo, coraggio
@@LoredanaLanzo-iq8ux I totally agree with your comments, Roy Wood did Jeff Lynne a big favour when he invited him to join The Move in February 1970. Lynne had been struggling trying to make his band The Idle Race a popular band with the record buying public, there was nothing wrong with Jeff's early songs, in some ways they went over the heads of buyers with their Beatlesque hooks and melodies, they were fine songs, but unfortunately Jeff couldn't write a hit record. Jeff Lynne's first hit record was "10538 Overture" in July 1972, a full two years after he'd written it as a projected 'B' side for Roy Wood's "When Alice Comes Back To The Farm" single with The Move. It was after Roy had added his heavy rocking cello riffs to the song that it was chosen to be the first ELO song. As you have stated, it is thanks to Roy Wood that ELO were born, Roy came up with the idea of ELO in 1968, he chose the name Electric Light Orchestra and it was the roalties money from Roy's hit singles with The Move that funded the early days of ELO. Lynne couldn't have afforded to fund the fledgeling ELO because he'd hardly sold any records with The Idle Race. Roy Wood kickstarted Jeff Lynne's musical career by allowing him to join in with The Move and ELO.
Besides pronouncing the abbreviated name of Electric Light Orchestra incorrectly, it is obvious that this person is not educated in music terminology! Cellist is pronounced as "Chellist"-originating from the Italian language where there is a "Ch" sound in this word. Cello is pronounced as "Chello", again from the Italian language. A bass (pronounced as base) guitar player known as a bassist is pronounced as "Baseist", this word has the long A sound, using the short A sound is used in Bass is for the fish known as a bass as in ass! I WON|T be subscribing!!!
Um, we all know this. It was all due to the fact that the UA-cam poster elected to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to read their script. It should have been very obvious that it wasn't a real person.
Their name was E.L.O. not "ello".
It's AI, so it is reading ELO, not E.L.O.
@@Flickit100 It's stupid AI.....
Hilarious, Mike Edwards was a 'sellist'!!
Fucking poor narration from a robotic yankee voice
@@rikprince8414 someone had to say it. thank you!
I only got 45 seconds into this before I couldn’t take it anymore.
AI will never triumph, we need humans to do voice-overs!
Enough is enough ! Gave up 4 ellos and 3 sellos in
Two Mik Kaminskis.. there's only two Mik Kaminskis.
'Ello to you, Mik, if you're watching!
Ello my arse
R.I.P. Richard Tandy

"Groucutt was the basssist for ello".......fantastic !
May the earth rest lightly on you, Richard 😢
Would be nice if you got somebody to read things like this, that could actually pronounce the man’s name which is Elo not Elo not yellow but ELO
ok
*Horrifing AI generated video !*
Agreed - "Ello" put me off from the start. Horrible piece of rubbish.

You might want to listen to other videos to understand how to pronounce the band name and other 🎼🎵🎶musical instruments.
Thanks
Every time she said "cello" I cringed!
Richard Tandy. R.i.p thats the end of elo now.. jeff on his own is not😢😢 elo
Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood and Bev Bevan were the founding members of Electric Light Orchestra! All the other musicians were paid employees!
thanks for the information
All rights on Electric Light Orchestra belongs to Jeff now! At least Bev Bevan sold his rights to Jeff!

My favorites over last 50 years. ❤
Is this AI? so many pronunciations wrong, including band name!
There are more members. Mike D'Albuquerque, Mike Edwards in particular.
Mike De Albuquerque NON È MORTO!
This Generated voice and focus on side muscians make this awfully unwatchable

The AI on this is hilarious.
DISRESPECTFUL NARRATION!
And what's a sello?......
A cello for selling. 😅
Be good if you could actually pronounce the peoples names and the name of the group, which is ELO not L rhyming with yellow
Another AI Robotic voice video
Saying 'Elo" is really annoying! It's E L O!! And it not ten thousand and thirty eight, it 10538!!
Or, to get the stupid AI to say it right it would be One Oh Five Three Eight.
@@tracycapilot2002. You’d need a brain to get a.i. to pronounce a LOT of the words right on this disrespectful video!
Love live the musical virtuosos “the sellists”
This was dreadful
Cliché upon cliché upon cliché upon cliché 👎
And the computer generated voice makes things worse
Mik Kaminski was in ELO twice in the same era apparently!
WHY WOULD ANYONE SUPPLY MS AI VOICE?? YOU CANT EVEN GET THE GROUPS NAME CORRECT.
“ELLO”???? AYLO??? SERIOUSLY.
WHAT A JOKE!!
Help! A master of the Sello!
Who knew the first violinist was even in the band? I'm also never driving behind a hay truck
Can we get a real person to read this please.. when you listen to this ..doesn't it make you want to start over. And do it right...
Also Roy Wood was not a part of ELO with the line up she uses
Dang, I would have narrated this for free, and as an added bonus, pronounced words correctly. 🤪😅
Horrible AI commentary
R.I.P WILFRED GIBSON.
Imagine being a gifted “sellist”
wow
Imagine, after losing your life, some idiot allows your memorial to call you a “sellist”.
I guess you don’t pronounce “A.I.” “ay?” Do ya?
The band is ELO .electric light orchestra... elo English
THANKS
She did say Dev Bevan didnt she! or is it They
Can we quit using the stupid computer voice...ruins the whole video
What about Louis Clark, he orchestrated the strings, this machine knows “ jacksquat “ terrible review.
FFS it's E. L. O. not ello & while mwe're on it it's pronounced CHELLO not sello & Chellist not sellist & Base guiter not BASS FFS!!!
Was Kelly playing a fish?
Bev Bevan !!!!
He's still alive!
What the f**k .

Ahora debe agregar la muerte de Richard Tandy el talentoso trabajo en sintetizadores dii un gran sello a la musica de E.L.O.
RIP
Who said AI was intelligent ? It can't even get pronunciations right !
I assume this is an AI generated voice..... no one says sello instead of cello or for that matter Ello instead of E-L-O.....
AI voice not appreciated.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
why didnt you get a human to narrate this . this video does not do justice to this band
...oraz w tym roku Richard Tandy.
Get your facts right. It’s not Ello. It’s E.L.O. Get your knowledge up to date!!!
you could at least spell their names correctly !
You forgot Richard Tandy i wont be watching any of these anymore.
'Ello kiddies, 'ello kiddies......
Hello 🙈
I can’t listen to crap like this as commentary
cello is pronounced....chello, NOT sello
Richard Tandy è morto ieri 1 Maggio 2024
Disrespectful
These fake, computer voices are horrible.
