Mr. Puzzles' ending reminds me of IT's death. In IT chapter 2 Pennywise is weakened and shrinks from a massive size to a baby and is killed. Mr Puzzles shrinks from a massive size and and reverts back into a TV after no longer being the highest rated. In other words, both villain defeats are very anti-climactic.
I really wonder if Puzzles was even remotely related to anything from the Cosmology Lore saga. I thought at first he was another product of the God Box, especially with his "perfection" motif that is similar to Niles' need for a perfect universe instilled in him by the God Box. God, I hope they dive into Mr. Puzzles and his background, but once SMG4 is finished with a character you never see them again.
No he’s not related to the god box. But I do think he reminded Zero/Niles that if they make the perfect universe and destroy the SMG4 universe and have Mario as an avatar, then they’d please the god box
