Thank you for the review. I bought this because the Zagg SlimBook was not yet available for the 10.5. I have to say that after further review of the Zagg that is available for the 12”, this product is a better value and from what I gather better construction (check out the reviews of the hinge mechanism on the Zagg). The aluminum design and solid feel of the hinge make the experience MacBook like. The price is a great talking point as well, the big guys like Logitech and Zagg are selling for well over $100. This case is perfect on your lap and the keyboard is amazing to type with and if you use your iPad more like a laptop in landscape mode then this is an ideal solution. For those looking for more flexibility you may want to explore other options. I personally use my iPad more like a laptop so having a case that I can hold in portrait mode is not a sticking point. I have the Zagg Keys Folio Plus for my older generation iPad and I really enjoyed using it but always wished it had more of a laptop feel to it. The keyboard has a notch that the iPad slides into to hold it at the viewing angle but it’s not adjustable and the iPad has a tendency to flip out of the notch when you are moving it from say your lap to a coffee table. A lot of issue have been solved with this keyboard case and the price is a steal for the value.
It looks perfect except for the circle cutout. That just reeks of 2 dollar chinese shop cases. They should cover the entire back. We don’t need to show off our apple logo, this only leaves it open for scratching and dirt to get in. Real shame. Its just enough to stop me buying it and going with the zagg slimbook. Though zaggs pencil holder was a nice touch too.

FKANT Then maybe combine both wish... an open logo cut out but add to it a lexan (high strength polycarbonate) to protect that logo cut out! Fkant where could I buy the iPad Pro 10.5" version keyboard/case with all colors here in Canada 🇨🇦 can’t even seem to find on Amazon.ca

Maria Graham Hey, Maria! This particular brand doesn’t make one for the 12- but if you search laptop case on Amazon a bunch will come up that are even more modern and have rotating hinges, etc.
What is the hinge made of as we have had so many Zagg slimbooks with a cheap plastic hinge that breaks after a few weeks, also do you have a link to this in the UK?

I purchased the keyboard and it has a very annoying flaw. The keyboard designer gave a mini USB charger. so you need to carry a new cable around. Why couldn't they give a apple type charger. that way I could have just used the same cable I use to charge the keyboard and iPad as well. no need to carry around a separate cable.
Abhishek Srivastava Because that port is proprietary to apples devices and they are only allowed to implement what they can. Apples charging port on iPad and iPhone is a proprietary port that only Apple uses and it’s not open to third parties. The only other way to get a charge would be through USB type C and since iPad doesn’t have that you’d still need another cable to take around. All Bluetooth keyboards that are rechargeable have micro USB port because of that.

I suggest keeping the camera on a tripod and using a moving tripod on wheels! Hope you don’t take this the wrong way! Yannick Roy Yea it was an older camera problem- the subject/object here was lit well but the camera I was using was just not great. New setup much better. Also have the new tripod so no more movement.
Cladio Juliano Don’t what to be skeptical or disrespectful but I’ve seen your most recent vid and don’t look look like it’s a camera quality issue and your still going free hand. Looks like your in a really dark room with one light source instead of multiple sources as well! Well I’ll stop now hope you all the best! Yannick Roy The recent video is with a new camera which does way better- that’s why its 4K at 60FPS. This was an older camera with a smaller aperture. The newest video of the Adonit pen has no lighting issues when looking at the hardware. I didn’t use the tripod in that I didn’t have it yet. This one was an older camera with smaller Aperture. It’s not with one light source at all- there are multiple light sources plus a direct light. Plus a black product on top. But the whole room is lit in this video. Was the camera.

I actually have the same case and I thin it is super awesome. Apple’s grainy case is not that great and I am really happy it was working so well.

which way dose the cover deflect the speaker sound? ZAGG has theirs coming to the front which, is a better product. My opinion.

I don’t know of ANY keyboard out there that uses Apple’s lightning port for charging. They ALL use MicroUSB.

Really wish the ipad was detachable. Basically removes the "tablet" experience from this tablet.

Design the new case to hold the apple pencil and not in a tube but a tray so that there is no way to lose the pencil when the case is closed
