This video is my take on the differences between the wahl cordless senior and the wahl senior corded. If you like the video please like ! IG: Bennycuts
Magnetic motor clippers are always very quiet due to less moving parts, so cordless is always gonna be louder. Also, that "snap" is specific to the magnetic motor, and all cordless are rotary, so you won't get that. How d'ya like the Seniors now? I love mine!
I take corded clippers anytime, cordless are whack! and as u just seen the noise comparison corded are clearly quieter cheaper & has a lot more power and don't have to worry running out of battery.
Does the Senior Corded come with a ceramic blade, or can you purchase one? Does it cut the same with a ceramic blade vs. regular blade? I am a hairdresser, doing only a few mens' haircuts a month, and switching from an Oster 76 Classic, after 15 years. Would the Senior corded be a good clipper for me? TIA!
When the clipper (Wahl Senior Cordess) is charging, the clipper is more powerful and work louder But when disconnecting from charging, it works less than even on charge. Is this normal?
Oraz Davlatov Normal. Lithium ion batteries lose power (battery drain) and the mechanical parts that run off of that lithium power lose power. That's why the cord & Cordless have two different motors. Cord > Cordless in the power output department.
The cordless senior is cord and cordless. When it's plugged in it will run more rpms. Some clippers can't even charge while turned on. If they die. All you do is plug em in n keep cutting. I love them
Need advice. I’m on a budget so can’t afford the cordless seniors. The corded seniors are cheaper though so I’m thinking of buying those. Besides the cordless feature, lighter weight, and slimmer look, any major other differences? Or should I save up for the cordless? Thanks!
You need to do a noise comparison test with the lever in the same position because the lower the blade is the louder it gets and you had the corded senior all the way up and the cordless one almost all the way down. It will still be a difference just not as much as in this video.
TactiCali Industries thanks man I really appreciate the feedback ! I honestly didn’t even think about that while recording the video but I will next time .
I’m wondering the same thing. It’s the UL certified patent. Mine does show the patent at the back saying also model 850 (which is ULs model, not Wahl’s. Because the seniors are model 8545). Maybe the more recent made ones they decided to save time and money and thought to print at back instead
@@Alozhatos corded senior not available in UK due to electronics so Wahl say. If you want a corded clipper try the Legend, it's amazing and has the V9000 motor.
What a nonsensical video. The looks and ergonomics, that’s fine. The other half is just nonsense. Trying to judge “power” by the sound of the motors, when they’re two completely different types of motors makes ZERO SENSE! The corded Senior has the V9000 electromagnetic motor, while the cordless Senior has a rotary motor. No shit they’re gonna sound different - that has nothing to do with “power”. The corded cuts at 14,400 SPM the cordless rotary is around 6,500-6,900 SPM. They are obviously gonna sound different. The only way to judge the actual cutting power would be to do some cuts on different types of hair, try bulk removal, etc...then see how each actually cuts. Maybe compare them side by side on the same head.

Steve Scissorhands Guppy awesome bro that’s good to know ! Thank you for clarifying that for me . And I absolutely love them.
yep, simply yep :)
the CUt. Well if it isn't my old IG buddy Calin! How are you bro?
Steve Scissorhands Guppy right??
Ty Herr correct

They should make a corded one the same size as the cordless. Cordless are awesome but don’t have the power and only 70 minute run time.
We need any update video on cutting power, if ceramic blade cuts better, or if the stagger-tooth blade is better.

Just got mine. I’m left too. We stay getting the short stick lol it’s all good. Cool video.
Good review bro, thank you! I'm a newbie to these pro machines coming from a broken Philips machine :P
🤣🤣 Before going to school i had a philips trimmer too hahha

Money makes more money.....
Just get a Magic Clip and switch the Stagger-Tooth blade out for a Deep-Tooth. They are essentially the same machine.
no get the corded trust me
Why? Is there a significant different in power?
Get a Kemei !

I tried adding a ceramic blade to my corded senior & it rattles like crazy, I ended it up taking it off. How did you adjust yours?
Im late but you have to adjust the power screw on the side of the clipper, just turn it until it feels and sounds right
Did I got fake clipper? Mine do not have that writting at the bottom the corded ones

The power switch and blade lever needs to be metal 👍
Dipper964 that’s a great point bro
MasterBarber001 yea I’m sure that definitely played in role. I still think the clipper is a very good looking clipper even with all the plastic
The lever yes, not the switch tho lol bad idea
MasterBarber001 people break the switch? Holy cow
Dipper964 Yeah, that would be nice 👌
for the corded wahl seniors, what’s the difference between the 2?
EbAg CuTz just a different colour, no difference in preformance
same exakt size lol.. you mean length. The corded one is pregnant
Does anyone else have the problem of the cordless being louder than the corded
Its normal
Kemei 2600 do the same job what this senior cordless and is so powerfull and cost is only 18.90£ only need swap the blades from wahl..
Haha nope
Where did you get that ceramic blade at bro?
Cristian Vela what’s up bro I got it from www.fantasticbeautysupply.com/product_info.php/forfex-ceramic-cutter-replacement-blade-616cx-med-p-388
Benny Cuts thanks bro! Have a good day much love from Cali!
Cristian Vela no problem anytime bro
You could salvage one off a metal 1 guard ceramic bottom blade Geeeee
Barber Cisco 661 what metal one are u referring to
Pls give me one I wish I could afford Just one I've been suffering for too long
And it's so bad that I know the power of this clippers
Work for it
Just bought one off a barber from a shop for 40$ corded
Anyone know where i can get the senior corded version in UK?!
Ebay, Amazon
Sadly no, Senior corded only available for 120V 60Hz... UK uses 240V 50Hz... Using transformer won’t solve the problem due to frequency difference...

mantapa sekali
I go corded
Dont ever talk to me cordless.
Lithium Ion??
French Bastard yea it’s lithium ion

Thanks for taking the time out to comment on the video . Sounds like you have a lot of knowledge, much appreciated 🙏🏼
I didn’t mean to come off condescending...hard to control “tone” through text. Lol! That’s just how I talk IRL.
Thanks for the content.
Inexperienced barbers shouldn’t be making review vids
400grand and 400grand barbers shouldn’t be wasting their time on UA-cam
Why not he still a barber
He also has the old, newer one and cordless on hands so he is qualified to make this video.
