Thank you Fr for your meditations and beautiful teachings..I can listen to you all day and never get tired. Teachings on Maria Valtorta has deepened my love and longing for Jesus and as you said in one of your teachings Fr, I detest all sin and am cautiously working on awareness of veniial sins. I would not want to be the cause of any more pain and torture on my beloved Jesus.🙏✝️

Blessings, Kristy! That's not the full story. Yes, St. Faustina's Diary and Maria Valtorta's writings were placed on the index of forbidden books by Pope John XXIII, the same pope that persecuted Padre Pio and thus had a very dubious history with the mystics. But the Index was abolished by Paul VI, who when he was archbishop made Valtorta's writings required reading for his seminarians he found them so spiritually edifying and informative. And since then, a number of bishops have offered their Imprimatur for Valtorta's work, authenticating that it is free of moral and doctrinal error and can be read. Thank you for your comment, glad to share the full picture. God bless you and a have blessed Holy Week!

Individual bishops have offered their imprimatur for Valtorta's and Maria of Agreda's works, testifying that they are free of moral and doctrinal error and may be read. Furthermore, Pope Paul VI who abolished the index of forbidden books that St. Faustina's Diary, Venerable Maria of Agreda's Mystical City of God, Maria Valtorta's writings, and even Dante's writings, were all placed on, used to make Valtorta's writings required reading for his seminarians when he was archbishop, he found them so spiritually edifying. Pope Pius XII also gave verbal approval for Valtorta's work, his right-hand man, Fr. Augustine Bea, a German Jesuit biblical scholar studied them and found no error but emphasized they are filled with remarkable precision and accuracy in terms of biblical, archeological, cultural, and topographical knowledge. Thank you for your question, Michelle! God bless you and I hope you have a blessed Holy Week.
