The custom planner is a great idea but I personally didn’t like any of the covers. I know you can’t please everyone but back when Stephanie Fleming ran it, it was hard to decide which planner because there were so many and most were really good. I did pick up the seasons of joy planner. I love the seasonal ones most but it was just ok. Not great. Have a fantastic Thursday!

I totally agree. Could not find planner I liked. They were all retro/boho vibes which I don’t like. The custom planners covers are just ordinary. I had such great expectations for this release…
I love the stick-a-bilities sticker books. I don't use a ton of stickers, and it's so convenient to be able to buy the stickers in smaller packs like this.

I found the Happy Planner when Stephanie Fleming still owned it. It was a different vibe then. They had the Squad that would unbox & preview the new releases. It was fun & created excitement around launch day. I was able to see what I wanted & plan to buy. I still love the Happy Planner but miss the old days & ways.
I agree with you. I truly enjoy watching preview videos, taking notes and making my wish list. I feel like they took the joy away from this release. Then as soon as the release was live, I had to decide if I wanted to shop OR watch their unboxing videos and hope that nothing would see out. I ordered blindly and am hoping for the best. Was little disappointed wanted more seasonal stickers ….fall and Halloween and winter…and more accessories but place an order also…got the custom planner wanted to try it…been planning with happy planner for about 5 yrs…missed the preview day to add to my wishlist….but was upset about it too…I felt like you did

I’ve been using HP on & off for a few years. I’m not in love with the planners from this release-maybe 1 or 2 but not in the layouts I like. I’m really HATING that they are now putting the year on the covers making them hard to reuse. Very disappointed in that! I may try out a custom planner for the new year-maybe…..
Im not a fan of the year on the cover either! I love that they have the custom planner but now I wish that I could have been able to add on as many layouts as I wanted along with the Extension packs or I wish that they would sell them separately. "Meh" is a good way to describe this release. I highly customize my planner, so i usually just buy a planner for the guts anyway. I think HP needs to drop the niche 70s theme because its not working. They are sitting on a lot of old stock at this point. I also stay away from sticker books that have a colored offset like black and pink because i think it looks weird to have a black ring around your sticker on a white calendar page. I was fortunate enough to get in on the Ollies buyout of older sticker books, so im pretty well stocked on stickers right now. Twin loop needs to die. I guess they are trying to compete with Erin Condren, but people don't shop HP for coil planners. For several releases now I've walked into Michaels and Hobby Lobby and thats all they had left.
LOL! Yes, I'm tired of the 70's theme! That was a huge score with the books from Ollies! Im not a fan of the twin loop but I thought it was interesting that there were no loops in the middle. Was that to ensure that we don't use EC with their product? Maybe I'm thinking too much into it but I just thought that it was strange! I was so disappointed with the fall release. I had such a hard time finding a planner I liked. I always use vertical layout but this year I had to purchase a dashboard planner, for the very first time. I chose the Everyday Magic dashboard classic. I got the matching stickers with my rewards points and added the Mystic Garden bookmarks. It took me two days to decide because honestly most of the designs are hideous. I only liked two of the custom planner covers but held off because they are final sale. You can tell Happy Planner is cutting back on costs and it does not look good on their products.

I think the discounts they offered were better this time. I’m trying to decide if I want to buy anything but that’s only because I bought a planner in June. The one I was using ended then. I do love the idea of being able to customize a planner and the pricing was nice. I do agree there weren’t that many that I liked. I like the premade ones better. I do love that they did double sided dividers but wish they did it for all planners. Love the option that you can purchase an extension pack. Think they should give you the option to buy one are two so you can have for the whole year. Love the new Work life planner setup. Just wish the layout was different because I don’t use an hourly planner. I think people have to realize this is a start and hopefully HP will keep approving the customize options. I do agree the sticker options aren’t as good as normally but that’s ok because I probably don’t need anymore. Lol
I love your optimism! I feel the same. I hope they were testing the waters and that there will be better options next go round. I LOVED the work life planner but also didn't love the layout so I picked up the notebook so that I could at least use the cover. I love the double sided dividers so that I can use them again in the future. As far as the custom planner, I just wanted to at least try one since it is new to me. I wish there were more metal options than just the 5 available and also let me pick more than one layout and more than one extension pack. Make it truly customizable,Ya know? Waiting for the winter launch. I was very underwhelmed except for Sleeping Beauty, but I already bought an 18 - month planner. I did want a skinny mini, but am not paying shipping just for that.

That was the only one that would work for me and I was definitely not 100% thrilled with that one. When Stephanie owned the company things were so much better. I wish you could have experienced that.

I also like both types of discs and prefer plastic for sticker/cover storage. I watch planner people to discuss planners - most of my family members and friends totally don’t get my love of planners and stationery in general! New subscriber, loved your video! I also think that the Hobby Lobby girls are my favorites except for some of the beautiful photo girls
I had always heard that metal discs were better than plastic so I went to Michael's to buy some. As soon as I picked them up, the metal cutout almost cut my hand. They were SHARP!!! Soooooo... I put them back. A few weeks later I ended up purchasing the Bridgeton Planner which came with Metal discs. Surprisingly they weren't sharp at all. I guess the store had a bad batch! You did a really great job at explaining everything…. I was a little disappointed with this release normally during the Fall release there’s so much I like that it’s hard to choose and I place multiple orders BUT this year it was the opposite… I’m thankful for the double sided dividers in the custom planner however, the design options were basic and just not cute. I literally looked on my phone, iPad, and MacBook thinking I would change my mind but I just couldn’t justify buying a custom planner if I didn’t love the look of it… Also them changing the horizontal layout truly turned me off…Lastly, they didn’t have a mini dashboard neutral layout option in which I normally buy one every year… Overall I think they tried to listen to their customer base but just failed when it came to the execution.
Thanks Kendra! I just received my package and I was actually surprised that I LOVE my new custom planner!! It is soooo much better than I thought it would be. I just posted an unboxing video. Quite a few people in the comment were telling me about other planners that already had the copper discs that we purchased! Also, today I saw 3 people say that they Picked up a planner that showed that it should have metal discs and it had plastic. I also saw a new custom planner with the wrong dates in them (I talk about it in that video) sooo I don’t know what going on but I hope they get it together QUICK!!! I’ve been disappointed for a while with happy planner, I’ve been using them since 2015. I had the first planner they released so I’ve seen all the launches, I’m craving the happy planner girls line and moody realistic florals but I did like the desert mystic. I did make a large order but I mostly got the cheaper older stickers. I got the custom planner it’s actually nice. Way better than I expected it to be. I think they need to redo the Disney sticker books and not have the same character on every box sticker. I wanna feel that excitement I did in 2018. I’ve felt like since Steph left they’re becoming redundant. Here’s hoping they listen and freshen up the designs. I will forever be a happy planner girlie. I really wish they’d bring back the previews, cause that’s what got me excited.
I agree! They could do soooo much more! Maybe more for this book reading era, fashion, different Disney Characters, Sports,Travel, More Colorful boxes etc. Im with you, I LIVE for a preview video. I like to take my time and figure out what I'm getting. Sometime items in the video look better than what is online. I am late to the happy planner party…I just found them a month ago, and I love the system but hate the designs, there is only one I like but it was sold out by the time I learned about HP…now I have to go back to old YT videos, and see the old designs. And I have decided to just make my own now 🤷🏻♀️

I don’t understand the thought process with the design choices if the fall launch. The mod/folksy/retro vibe is not trending. The dark, moody, floral leaning dark academia is current. They were so off base this year. My fall order is usually huge, I haven’t even placed one yet and probably won’t.

@@changeofplanswithangiei totally agree! I think it’s the new owners of Happy Planner being greedy. They know us thrifty gals use those 50% off coupons at Joann….so their answer was to not send stuff to the stores. Many stores started purging the HP sections in Michaels, Joann and Hobby Lobby long ago. Also, those custom planners was done in 2019, cause I bought one! Only new thing they added were all the newest layouts and the option to put extensions.
I love the mini size and B6. These are great values thanks for sharing. I also prefer clear or washi stickers. I know what you mean about the animals. I am a small dog person, I typically don’t care for cats in person, mostly because they make me sneeze but I sometimes love kitty stickers. Having said that, I’m glad to see puppies and zoo animals getting some equal sticker time
I am not really a Happy Planner person. I prefer spiral bound, but this year I am trying Happy Planner. The Beetlejuice and Nightmare before Christmas planners won me over. I am planning on combining the two. 40% off is awesome. I will almost always buy something when they offer 40% off. I purchased a NBC Planner (already bought Beetlejuice), a couple sets of discs, a notebook and stickers to get to the $150 for the discount.

It's like they forgot about us!!!! I am happy to see Mini's in this release. I picked up a horizontal and a dashboard. I plan to Frankenplan them together into one planner. I'm glad you decided to come on back !!

The Happy Planner 😢 customer service is horrible. Im waiting for a response from 2 yrsago. Gave them another shot earlier this month I had a question and NO RESPONSE and I spent $60 to be ignored. Honestly I think moving forward for 2026 ( I did the B1G1 for 2025) I'll just get a mini and go with another company like Kellofaplans or bond planner company. 😑
Oh No!! 2 Years ago?? That's insane. I had a huge issue with an order that they escalated to a manager about 3 months ago. I also reached out to "Taylor" by text message and was able to get the issue resolved. Maybe if you still feel like it, maybe try reaching out to them again? I agree that the customer service needs ALOT of work! I like Kellofaplans products but I have never heard of the Bond Planner Company. I will have to research and look into them. I've been with HP for about 3 or 4 years now. The stickers seem redundant. I see 1 that I like. I lean more towards small business stickers. So far I only see 1 maybe 2 stickerbooks I'll get.

Ugh can we PLEASE go back to the 2020-2021 releases but with a more modern color palette? The florals are just not pretty. Their prettiest floral collection that they've ever done IMO is the "beauty in florals" collection. I want to love their stuff so badly but if it's going to be this terrible, they should at least upgrade the paper quality. I genuinely felt like every single planner was that "western florals" or "boho florals" type of vibe that honestly reminds me of wildflowers and weeds. I was just NOT impressed, which is sad because I used to order a bunch from them.
Agreed!! I will have to go check out the "beauty in florals". I feel like they maybe need to hire new designers. Now I love a good floral sticker book but I just feel like they could do soooo much more. The western floral was not my vibe!! I've seen a lot of complaints online so I hope that they are listening. I was disappointed as well. The customizable option was boring to say the least. Past releases in the last year or two, Happy Planner would do a live to show off a bunch of the new line. They may not show everything, but they would show a bunch. This year, for whatever reason they didn't do the live until after the launch. And then very frustrating to see sneaks from Joann, etc. Thanks for sharing. I still found a couple of cute things and a couple of sticker books, but very underwhelmed.
I agree with you. I didn't like deciding if I shop or now watch the release videos! I understand how a brand releases little sneak peeks to build suspense and get us excited but not for a launch as big as this one. When I logged on and saw that there were over 200 items, I felt SOOO overwhelmed!!! I think the custom planners were a great idea but just wish that there were better options to choose from and different sizes. I am hoping that they were just testing the waters for interest.Im glad you were still able to find something you like from the collection. Fingers cross that they do better int he future. @@kristina4272 They admitted that it was an error and that it shouldn’t happen again in the future. I’ve seen some people use a label maker to add the name to their books. Annoying but maybe a solution 🤷🏽♀️?
@changeofplanswithangie I’ve been a happy planner customer since 2018, and I hated this release! The designs are unappealing, and I am fed up with the focus on the esoteric which wasn’t a huge thing when Stephanie still owned the company. It seems that on what is the “faith” planner, which in the past was overtly Christian, they’re edging God out. The only thing I purchased from this release, which I do like, is the midnight blue cover. I purchased the Prayeful Planner’s printable planner to use for next year. I’ve printed it on HP classic size paper to go in my discbound system.

For me it’s been “thank you for your ideas, we’ll submit them to the design team”. I’m an Air Force veteran. I submitted an idea for a military themed planner for each branch of service. I feel like the powers that be only listen to former squad members and current ambassadors at this point. 🤷🏻♀️ I took matters into my own hands and made my own Air Force themed dividers. 🇺🇸

I agree! This seemed more like a summer release with all of the bright colors. Where are the pumpkins and acorns at? I would have been down for a moody floral!

I also like both types of discs and prefer plastic for sticker/cover storage. I watch planner people to discuss planners - most of my family members and friends totally don’t get my love of planners and stationery in general! New subscriber, loved your video! I also think that the Hobby Lobby girls are my favorites except for some of the beautiful photo girls
I had always heard that metal discs were better than plastic so I went to Michael's to buy some. As soon as I picked them up, the metal cutout almost cut my hand. They were SHARP!!! Soooooo... I put them back. A few weeks later I ended up purchasing the Bridgeton Planner which came with Metal discs. Surprisingly they weren't sharp at all. I guess the store had a bad batch! I do love the shine on the metal a lot more than the plastic discs. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! Feel free to comment on any video and chat. You did a really great job at explaining everything…. I was a little disappointed with this release normally during the Fall release there’s so much I like that it’s hard to choose and I place multiple orders BUT this year it was the opposite… I’m thankful for the double sided dividers in the custom planner however, the design options were basic and just not cute. I literally looked on my phone, iPad, and MacBook thinking I would change my mind but I just couldn’t justify buying a custom planner if I didn’t love the look of it… Also them changing the horizontal layout truly turned me off…Lastly, they didn’t have a mini dashboard neutral layout option in which I normally buy one every year… Overall I think they tried to listen to their customer base but just failed when it came to the execution.
Thanks Kendra! I just received my package and I was actually surprised that I LOVE my new custom planner!! It is soooo much better than I thought it would be. I just posted an unboxing video. Quite a few people in the comment were telling me about other planners that already had the copper discs that we purchased! Also, today I saw 3 people say that they Picked up a planner that showed that it should have metal discs and it had plastic. I also saw a new custom planner with the wrong dates in them (I talk about it in that video) sooo I don’t know what going on but I hope they get it together QUICK!!! I’ve been disappointed for a while with happy planner, I’ve been using them since 2015. I had the first planner they released so I’ve seen all the launches, I’m craving the happy planner girls line and moody realistic florals but I did like the desert mystic. I did make a large order but I mostly got the cheaper older stickers. I got the custom planner it’s actually nice. Way better than I expected it to be. I think they need to redo the Disney sticker books and not have the same character on every box sticker. I wanna feel that excitement I did in 2018. I’ve felt like since Steph left they’re becoming redundant. Here’s hoping they listen and freshen up the designs. I will forever be a happy planner girlie. I really wish they’d bring back the previews, cause that’s what got me excited.
I agree! They could do soooo much more! Maybe more for this book reading era, fashion, different Disney Characters, Sports,Travel, More Colorful boxes etc. Im with you, I LIVE for a preview video. I like to take my time and figure out what I'm getting. Sometime items in the video look better than what is online. I am late to the happy planner party…I just found them a month ago, and I love the system but hate the designs, there is only one I like but it was sold out by the time I learned about HP…now I have to go back to old YT videos, and see the old designs. And I have decided to just make my own now 🤷🏻♀️
I like the idea behind being able to swap out pages and decorate with different covers and discs. Ive been thinking about making my own things as well. Thank you sooo much for watching my video!!!
I don’t understand the thought process with the design choices if the fall launch. The mod/folksy/retro vibe is not trending. The dark, moody, floral leaning dark academia is current. They were so off base this year. My fall order is usually huge, I haven’t even placed one yet and probably won’t.
Yes! The other annoying thing is their “on line only” products. Why label things that way when they are in Joann’s, Michael’s and hobby lobby?

@@changeofplanswithangiei totally agree! I think it’s the new owners of Happy Planner being greedy. They know us thrifty gals use those 50% off coupons at Joann….so their answer was to not send stuff to the stores. Many stores started purging the HP sections in Michaels, Joann and Hobby Lobby long ago. Also, those custom planners was done in 2019, cause I bought one! Only new thing they added were all the newest layouts and the option to put extensions.

I love the mini size and B6. These are great values thanks for sharing. I also prefer clear or washi stickers. I know what you mean about the animals. I am a small dog person, I typically don’t care for cats in person, mostly because they make me sneeze but I sometimes love kitty stickers. Having said that, I’m glad to see puppies and zoo animals getting some equal sticker time

I am not really a Happy Planner person. I prefer spiral bound, but this year I am trying Happy Planner. The Beetlejuice and Nightmare before Christmas planners won me over. I am planning on combining the two. 40% off is awesome. I will almost always buy something when they offer 40% off. I purchased a NBC Planner (already bought Beetlejuice), a couple sets of discs, a notebook and stickers to get to the $150 for the discount.

I agree, I much prefer knowing what’s coming up - and too few mini sizes as well as too few dashboard planners - it’s why I drifted away from HP…. I’ve recently started using some again
It's like they forgot about us!!!! I am happy to see Mini's in this release. I picked up a horizontal and a dashboard. I plan to Frankenplan them together into one planner. I'm glad you decided to come on back !!

The Happy Planner 😢 customer service is horrible. Im waiting for a response from 2 yrsago. Gave them another shot earlier this month I had a question and NO RESPONSE and I spent $60 to be ignored. Honestly I think moving forward for 2026 ( I did the B1G1 for 2025) I'll just get a mini and go with another company like Kellofaplans or bond planner company. 😑
Oh No!! 2 Years ago?? That's insane. I had a huge issue with an order that they escalated to a manager about 3 months ago. I also reached out to "Taylor" by text message and was able to get the issue resolved. Maybe if you still feel like it, maybe try reaching out to them again? I agree that the customer service needs ALOT of work! I like Kellofaplans products but I have never heard of the Bond Planner Company. I will have to research and look into them. I've been with HP for about 3 or 4 years now. The stickers seem redundant. I see 1 that I like. I lean more towards small business stickers. So far I only see 1 maybe 2 stickerbooks I'll get.
Im still a newbie to the brand but I agree. We just keep seeing the same things over and over again. Maybe they need to hire some new artist to help with designs? Hopefully they listen to their customers and we see so changes in the future! Thank you so much for watching!!
Ugh can we PLEASE go back to the 2020-2021 releases but with a more modern color palette? The florals are just not pretty. Their prettiest floral collection that they've ever done IMO is the "beauty in florals" collection. I want to love their stuff so badly but if it's going to be this terrible, they should at least upgrade the paper quality.
I genuinely felt like every single planner was that "western florals" or "boho florals" type of vibe that honestly reminds me of wildflowers and weeds. I was just NOT impressed, which is sad because I used to order a bunch from them.
Agreed!! I will have to go check out the "beauty in florals". I feel like they maybe need to hire new designers. Now I love a good floral sticker book but I just feel like they could do soooo much more. The western floral was not my vibe!! I've seen a lot of complaints online so I hope that they are listening. I was disappointed as well. The customizable option was boring to say the least. Past releases in the last year or two, Happy Planner would do a live to show off a bunch of the new line. They may not show everything, but they would show a bunch. This year, for whatever reason they didn't do the live until after the launch. And then very frustrating to see sneaks from Joann, etc. Thanks for sharing. I still found a couple of cute things and a couple of sticker books, but very underwhelmed.
I agree with you. I didn't like deciding if I shop or now watch the release videos! I understand how a brand releases little sneak peeks to build suspense and get us excited but not for a launch as big as this one. When I logged on and saw that there were over 200 items, I felt SOOO overwhelmed!!! I think the custom planners were a great idea but just wish that there were better options to choose from and different sizes. I am hoping that they were just testing the waters for interest.Im glad you were still able to find something you like from the collection. Fingers cross that they do better int he future. My issue is that when I received my sticker books, they had no names on them. Not labeled on the top or on the front . So confusing.
@@kristina4272 They admitted that it was an error and that it shouldn’t happen again in the future. I’ve seen some people use a label maker to add the name to their books. Annoying but maybe a solution 🤷🏽♀️?
@changeofplanswithangie I’ve been a happy planner customer since 2018, and I hated this release! The designs are unappealing, and I am fed up with the focus on the esoteric which wasn’t a huge thing when Stephanie still owned the company. It seems that on what is the “faith” planner, which in the past was overtly Christian, they’re edging God out. The only thing I purchased from this release, which I do like, is the midnight blue cover. I purchased the Prayeful Planner’s printable planner to use for next year. I’ve printed it on HP classic size paper to go in my discbound system.

@@changeofplanswithangie You’re most welcome. I have the direct email of their customer service manager and have had email chats with him. For me it’s been “thank you for your ideas, we’ll submit them to the design team”. I’m an Air Force veteran. I submitted an idea for a military themed planner for each branch of service. I feel like the powers that be only listen to former squad members and current ambassadors at this point. 🤷🏻♀️ I took matters into my own hands and made my own Air Force themed dividers. 🇺🇸

I agree! This seemed more like a summer release with all of the bright colors. Where are the pumpkins and acorns at? I would have been down for a moody floral!
