If they make a Sing 3, Moon should be the villain. Constantly lying, things CONVIENTLY working out in his favor every time, he'd probably get a massive ego boost. Next movie he should go "tyrant" and have to be shown the error of his ways and that everything before was a VERY rare and lucky coincidence. Maybe he'd say "everything will work out alright, because of 'moon magic' no matter how bad things are now, they will work out!"
I felt so much for Clay. Having your passion fueled by someone you lose is one of the worst heartbreaks. It's losing two loves at once and is more than enough to break someone. Ash meeting her hero and showing him that just because the woman was dead didn't mean his love for her or his passion for music had to die also was such an incredibly adult theme for an kids' movie and they pulled it off perfectly. When they're doing the final song together and he steps aside to let her take the center stage and the spotlight it was such a great moment. He was acknowledging her as the future and the star and made the show simultaneously his return and the passing of the torch. It had its flaws, but I absolutely loved this movie.
I also love when Rosalita is understandably afraid to jump during the song Break Free but then she sees Buster is falling and saves him. She's a very caring person and if there's anyone who would overcome their fear to save someone they care about it would be her.
Honestly I think that if the Sing films were live action/ had humans as the characters they would’ve been received a lot better than they were. I found the scene with Porsha’s talent reveal and Moon’s dismissiveness heart-warming in a sense. Even when the perfect scapegoat to Rosita’s fear of heights problem is revealed, he doesn’t even think about offering Porsha the part. It really feels like he really cares about Rosita as an actor and a friend and wouldn’t throw her to the wayside, even for an opportunity of this caliber. Despite Porsha being given the part anyway, Moon was against it and even asked Rosita if it was ok before making the switch.
Yeah that’s what I liked about this scene! It reminded me of how he could’ve had the camel from sing 1 but switched to Johnny afterwards. This to me seems like a character development but idk. Thanks for the perfect description of the scene!

Two reasons why a light switch might be pushed down to turn a light one. 1) The electrician accidentally installed it upside-down. (this actually happened to us) 2) It's a two-way light switch with switches on both sides of the room. This is common in hallways.
I will say, my favorite scene is where Clay comes down after hearing his song played by the porcupine. He said earlier that his wife inspired all of his songs. Which means, that he likely wrote that song while Ruby was sick, and her health was in decline. He was doing it to try and help his wife feel better when she got stuck in the moment of her diagnosis. And having that song be repeated back to him changes the context of how his wife would have reacted to him, stuck in the moment of her death. It's just such a well-written QUIET scene that gives weight to the emotional pain that man went through. So much you forget that the entire point of Ash playing it was to get his consent (post-writing) to play his songs and commit a couple misdemeanors/possible felonies.

I watched this movie at the perfect time. I was fresh out of my first semester of culinary school run by a chef that could give Klaus Kickenklober a run for his money in terms of how toxic he was. What I really wanted to do was act, but that was my sister’s “thing”, and she raised hell anytime one of us intruded on her things. I let her bully me into going to culinary school since I like to bake. It was terrible- the chef’s standards were impossibly high. In twelve weeks I made one perfect dish, and I was depressed and burnt out by the fourth week. I spent each morning before class crying in the bathroom, and each afternoon after class doing the same thing. I absolutely dreaded class mornings- it had just sucked the soul out of me. I ended the semester with a GPA of 1.3 and a final grade of 52% in the class. I was miserable and beating myself up and just so, so tired. Then I went and saw this over winter break. I hadn’t liked the first one very much, so I didn’t expect a lot from this one. I left that theater in tears. Seeing Johnny stand up to Klaus, a toxic teacher just like the one I was dealing with- it hit me hard right when I needed it. That night, I logged on the college website and changed my major to theater. I haven’t looked back since.
Good for you! People are quick to trash the sing movies, but they're not supposed to be masterpieces - they're supposed to be impactful and meaningful, send a message and give the characters personality. I get you're not too keen on the first one, but if there's a lesson to be learned from both films, it's don't be afraid; do what you wanna do, what you believe in, and don't let others tell you no. Of course, Buster does some... questionable things, but at his core he's passionate, determined and caring.
Oh right, Billie Eilish was only in the movie so that her character can be declined by Mr. Crystal. Even in Sing 2, people think Billie Eilish is overrated.
1:49 that’s actually extremely common for a light that has two switches that activate it from either side of a room, hallway, or stairwell. The fact that the switch doesn’t have an “on/off” printed on it is typically a good sign that that’s what it is

I think my fave bit is that Crystal is like 'wait you got Clay's permission to use his song?' which is a U2 song. Bono, who is the lead singer of U2 voiced Clay. So yes. They literally got his permission to use his song. :) And Clay is based off a real life musician called Cab Calloway :D
4:27 Fr. After watching the movie, my younger sister (who was 6 at the time) kept singing that ONE PART ABOUT DOING THE NASTY IN DREAMS over and over again.
to be fair, I actually like those 2 movies. Its light comedy, decent animation, nothing serious... My family went through a tough time and we needed some easy relief.
You think that’s insane? I can’t believe they still haven’t done a video talking about everything they think is wrong with Paw Patrol: The Movie. And I personally thought it was better than this movie.
I shall another sin for Ash claiming to be a hardcore Clay Calloway fan & somehow not knowing that he doesn't like honey in his tea A REAL hardcore fan would know how he likes his tea, his favorite color, & the name of his childhood pet
I found it unbelievable how when Mr. Crystal told Buster to let Porsha do the thing, Porsha says "Yay" and jumps off without Buster giving his approval, thinking that if her dad approves of her doing it, then it is alright. I actually thought the show at the end was great. When I first watched the movie, I wished I could have seen something like that in person. I know it is just a movie, but sometimes movies are just so good you wish they were real. I also cannot believe you didn't question how Suki was able to get Jimmy Crystal arrested since the police showed up AFTER the show was over and how would she convince them that Jimmy attempted to kill Buster? It isn't like they'd just believe her when she said "This wolf tries dropping this koala to his death!"
I think you lack a little bit of common sense..... a scene at 6:20 with the building crew makes perfect sense to me. The blueprint guy is clearly carrying blank blueprints so they can map down what the stage will look like. Same idea with the paper guy and the script. Keep in mind it's most likely that everyone here thinks that this show has already been created and mapped out.

When the title is "Sing", I kind of expect singing and some spectacle.
Wait wait wait wait...
You can turn a light switch on by flipping it up?
Every single switch in my country and neighbouring countries are switched on by flipping it down, I thought that was an international thing!
I guess you learn something new everyday. Thanks cinemasins!
Well it seems it is an international thing, except for the usual suspect - the US.
Same in Europe.
@@tkps Don't worry, most people think the U.S people are like dumb and dumber =P (so do i)
The light switches are installed the right way, which gives a small benefit . As lights switches are normally in the off position, the top of the switch doesn't collect dust which could get into the more electronic parts.
so I had to check and all my light switches are this orientation. Good to know why and that my electrician isn't messing up at the least
You drastically overestimate light switches.
Imagine if Zootopia and Sing have an epic crossover
That would only happen if Disney bought all of Universal who owns Illumination who owns the rights to the “Sing” movies
The Zootopians would call the Singians weird because the Singians wear shoes while the Zootopians don't wear shoes since they don't even need them, shoes on animals are pointless cuz they tend to have hooves or thick pads or tough skin that protects their feet. XD
O-O-O-O-OOOOOOOH!
*TRY EVERYTHING!*
Porsha's costume actually has dark green on the legs, indicating they added material to make it fit
9:04 I knew that he was gonna start singing that.
4:40 First "Narration" sin ever to happen in the middle of the movie
Ms. Crawley listening to System Of A Down is one of the best things I’ve ever seen
Yes I loved that part too😂
2:50 Ash not getting paid the same, is their way of mocking disney, when SJ had a lawsuit against them for similar reasons.
When I watched this with my nephew a few months ago and I heard that, I was just laughing at the clapback.
Oh right, Billie Eilish was only in the movie so that her character can be declined by Mr. Crystal.
Even in Sing 2, people think Billie Eilish is overrated.
Best part of the movie
4:00 Uh, did you forget Meena is an _elephant?_ Elephants have such an amazing memory that they can't forget anything!
"Oh. F*ck. Well, I'm still going to sin it... but gently." The sin count going up that slowly made me burst out XD
1:49 that’s actually extremely common for a light that has two switches that activate it from either side of a room, hallway, or stairwell. The fact that the switch doesn’t have an “on/off” printed on it is typically a good sign that that’s what it is
I have been waiting for this!
Edit: At 13:17, notice how Jerry was looking back at Jimmy multiple times.
0:15 I honestly feel bad for the people who saw this movie in theatres like seeing the minions pop off on a huge screen would have made me jump off my seat 😨😭
“Hold on I’m watching sing 2, not the rise of Gru right?”
It annoying that they keep using the minions.
I love the Minions but I feel the franchise is being beat to death...
The minions are like already a dead franchise yet they keep advertising it like they're their greatest creation 💀
2:10 the same way he got *OUT OF IT* in movie 1. laying down, walk the top
esactly
I didn't even know there was a sequel, or that the first one made enough money for them to find a way to justify the need to make one.
It doesn’t help that both the first first film and this are beyond mediocre.
Same. Had no idea it existed until my sister mentioned wanting to pirate it.
@@brimbrim5389 I remember seeing it on Netflix recently but yeah
It's illumination every movie they make makes it's money back because they make moves at a smaller budget than others
I'm shocked as well.
Yet there is still no Man Of Steel 2.
2:07 The same way he got out of it in the BEGINNING of the first movie? He can put his feet on the top of the drawer which is a stable piece and push the drawer in
"Riff raff, street rat.." Made me snort coffee on my kid....thank god it was iced because explaining to my husband that we were both burned by an allusion to Aladdin, would definitely dispense disapproval
14:31 you make a "PIGS IN SPACE" reference and you DON'T include the Muppets along with it?? Are you kidding? It was right there, gift wrapped for you, and you blew it!!!
2:10 its been 2 years, but id still like to say: it showed buster getting out of a drawer in the first movie. He kind of just lays on his back and "walks" to push it so i makes sense he could do the opposite to close himself inside
You actually came up with a great idea for Sing 3.
I’d like to see CinemaSins make a movie
No because then he would realise that Theres No movie that doesnt have any sins. Because some movies Just need to have sins to make sense.
Honestly, I loved this movie waaaaay more than the first one
Same.
That was the most respectful +5 I've ever seen. Proud of you Jeremy.
0:30 yay screw the Minions and yes they deserve a better sequel to "The Rise of Gru" this year, PLEASE Where's my upcoming Mario?
"Remember Porsha Crystal is just a CGI cartoon character. Remember Porsha Crystal is just a CGI cartoon character."
#PorshaForever
Despite its flaws, I think I like this movie more than the first one.
Same even with the songs
Honestly, same. :-)
My personal opinion of the “Sing” movies: both of them are okay, much like most of Illumination’s filmography.
yeah the sequel was way better than the prequel
@@handev2604 this movie was entertaining, but for now the studio definitely peaked with the first despicable me
I think my fave bit is that Crystal is like 'wait you got Clay's permission to use his song?' which is a U2 song.
Bono, who is the lead singer of U2 voiced Clay. So yes. They literally got his permission to use his song. :)
And Clay is based off a real life musician called Cab Calloway :D
This movie was way better than the first movie because it is so heartwarming and I love all the songs as well!
4:27 Fr. After watching the movie, my younger sister (who was 6 at the time) kept singing that ONE PART ABOUT DOING THE NASTY IN DREAMS over and over again.
Movie: *has 0.0000000001 second of credits*
CinemaSins: This makes us angry
Literally EVERY switch in my home turns the lights on by flicking it down! How is this a confusing sinable scenario to an American?
Most of our switches are Up/On and Down/Off
@@NexusVFD not really your house must be small , if you have multiple switches in a single room it doesn’t have a designated off direction
@@NexusVFD
That's so weird. Why back to front?
It never applied to 99% of other country's on this planet.
to be fair, I actually like those 2 movies.
Its light comedy, decent animation, nothing serious...
My family went through a tough time and we needed some easy relief.
Same my mom loved this movie despite hating cartoons and anthropomorphic animals
HEY LOOK IT'S THE MINIONS CLAPPING AND SINGING!
Tuesday: The Bad Guys
Thursday: Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
14:20
it's a freggin danish wedding cake guys
damn man sounds kinda cute at 6:02 when he says jesus Gunter
"I'm still going to sin it...but gently"
And they say his heart grew three sizes that day
One of my fav movies. Let's see it get roasted 🤪
I can relate 😅
I actually really enjoyed this film 😂
I don’t blame you
My personal opinion of the “Sing” movies: both of them are okay, much like most of Illumination’s filmography.
How could you guys actually sin this movie I admit it had a few flaws but i really enjoyed it anyway i really like you guys videos makes my day better
I imagine he likes most of these movies but points out tiny shit for laughs
@@Wildfire_1701 I think he actually likes Sing 2 but just wants to make fun of this movie like all his videos are about.
You think that’s insane? I can’t believe they still haven’t done a video talking about everything they think is wrong with Paw Patrol: The Movie. And I personally thought it was better than this movie.
@@PussInBootsTheLastWishFan2003 that was the point I was trying to make but you said it better
It has flaws that's why it deserves sinning
I shall another sin for Ash claiming to be a hardcore Clay Calloway fan & somehow not knowing that he doesn't like honey in his tea
A REAL hardcore fan would know how he likes his tea, his favorite color, & the name of his childhood pet
jokes aside we can all agree the sing series has been a really good movie series-
8:06 those cookies look like the ones you get from Subway
16:18 That made me laugh way harder than I should have.
8:03 I think those grapes are plums, and those peaches are probably an orange or a mandarin, but I don't know what the yellow thing is
I like sing 2 but thanks finally I’ve been waiting for this
if i ran this channel, i would've added a million sins every time a shawn mendes song played in this movie
11:30 you almost had me there lol
Remember the first movie when Buster draw was his bed
9:10 'I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me'
1:39-1:49 Not to mention there’s literally a HIPPO and ALLIGATOR /CROCODILE in this scene
Do you even consider her calling the police offscreen?
@@joeyarochii2394Like before they even arrived?
@@SonicJrandSarahYes, that's possible, if by "they", you mean her, Jimmy, Jerry and the thugs.
Watch a movie in cinema: 🤢
Watch a movie on cinema sins:💪
Pretty much.
Watches a cinemasins video: 🤢
Watches a birdman video on cinemasins: 💪
2:00 it shows how he opens and closes in the drawer in the first film
1:49, my bedroom light works like that
been watching cinema sins for years now. Without a doubt every joke and every burn, HITS!!!! My ribs be hurting by the end of the video I’ve been laughing so hard. Big thanks! 😂🤣😵
8:30
The sheep: cause only when we suffer, we can be great
Cinemasins: tell that to f***** Tom Brady
1:50 there must be another switch that controls the same light!
I just so happen to have 3 separate light switches in my house that can be flipped down to turn "On" and vice-versa
Wait.. is it just a UK thing for lights to be turned on when the switch is pushed down? I thought everywhere did this.
@@matthewhill4636 Same in Singapore
@@PanzerSoul the sin sits with the sinner!
@@matthewhill4636 In the U.S., it's more generally common for lights turn on when the switch is flipped up, at least in my experience. I've only seen a few that turn on when the switch is flipped down. Maybe it's just a U.S. thing, or it might just vary from country to country?
I am shocked Jeremy had no commentary about Bono being the voice of Clay Calloway.
That's a sin. (Ding!)
I was seeing if someone was going to comment this. That is also probably why there all those U2 songs that he kept complaining about (or at least a bit reason why).
3:48 That's not the song that played at that point in the movie. What happened? Too many songs that could risk copyright ID?
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
EXCITED TO WATCH
I’ve been waiting to see a son video about ding two thanks you
I want to see cinemasins make a movie, im curious what they would do
The film learns from none of the mistakes of the first, reuses the exact plot without all the good parts, and also adds a new subplot of having a celebrity voice a celebrity that noone under 25 will know in a film aimed at 12 year olds
Thanks for sparing us the songs.
You forgot to mention that Porsha was able to fly around without getting tangled in all those other things hanging from the ceiling
