Exactly! He KNOWS what people are saying. Unless he practices...a LOT...he's just not as confident in speaking it without a fully prepared speech or knowing questions (and, thus, how to answer them) ahead of time.
For me the funniest moment was when during his D-DAY concert he reprimanded the translator, because she said something different than he did. Awkward! 🤭

I mean he did say before don't curse thinking I wouldn't understand because I do😄I also remember one time an interviewer asked Jin a question and Rm told her he understands then told him to answer. You can also see JK, Jimin and J-hope reacting to what's being said many times during interviews so I think they all understand for the most part they just can't express themselves in English fluently

They do TRY to keep it clean on stage, especially "at home", but that doesn't always happen when they're traveling. At one of the PtD concerts in Las Vegas...V was talking about technical difficulties during sound check (I think it was)...and spouted off with
"I thought 'Oh shit'!"

Burn the Stage is available on UA-cam, that's their first behind the scenes documentary where you see some more serious challenges they faced during the 2017 Wings concert tour. They talk in the beginning, if I remember correctly, about showing their real selves and not just the facade. 💜

When Hobi says, “Ho good”, you have to take into account that most names in Korea are composite names, like Ho-seok (his real name), so the Ho is his name but incomplete. Like Jin is really Seok-jin, V (Tae-hyung), Jimin (Ji-min), Suga (Yoon-gi), RM (Nam-joon). 💜🫰🏻💜
BTS swears frequently in two languages. Jin swears the least. And our Sunshine Hobi has the worst potty mouth of the bunch. 😂
From my understanding our sunshine jhope has the worst potty mouth out of them all 😂, but in all seriousness their English is pretty good now, I don't think they are completely confident with it, but what they do know and what they say I can always understand what they are getting at. I personally don't care if they don't speak English as long as they are comfortable with what they want to do

Now they clearly understand more (even tho I think Yoongi was secretly fluent haha and Jin has always had a good understanding) Some members are more shy when it comes to speak but I know they understand better now, they pronunciation is better too. Coolio wasn't an A hole with them. He was in an entertainment role as part of the American Hustle Life show, and his job also was to show young BTS there was a lot more to hip hop beyond the "well" of learning they had as Korean artists. While his interactions with V persisted throughout his section, there is nothing to say Big Hit was not complicit in profiling V as a sympathetic and innocently entertaining character. Afterall V originally was the hidden member, so his personality was not well-known known and he was not a heavy feature in early BTS music. At the end, I think Coolio finished his show segment as a caring mentor. The A hole impression some ARMY might have seems to pale compared to the way Big Hit set up BTS on the trip to the dormitory. Coolio's performance may have a lot to do with Big Hit. RIP.
There are SO MANY Seeds planted in AHL that blossom over the years, (Jungkook and Cameras, their Lyrics on the Challenge, etc). Starts Rough, Finishes Smooth 💜
I know without a doubt what you need to watch. Game shows. Variety shows. Competition shows are a big thing on TV in Asia. And when BTS guest stars on them, they are so very entertaining! Remember Jimin bouncing that ball off his knee. Well, that was on a very popular Korean variety show. But what is The Very Best is when they are on their own show. Maybe no one explained this to you before. But many of the clips when they are goofing off are from their very own variety show called "RunBTS." You have a couple of options. You can start from Episode 1 and watch in sequence. Or you can watch them in random. You can ask your subscribers to nominate their favorite episodes. When I first discovered them, I didn't know they had their own show. I accidentally discovered their pajama party episode where they played games. I have never laughed so hard. I continued to find them randomly. Then I decided to start from the beginning and watch them all in sequence. There are over 300 of them. The first ones are short. So you can watch 1 or 2 or 3 at a time. They were just starting out, so the production value is not top-notch. Then, the content got better. The shows were longer. And then the production value went way up. So, I will recommend one of my favorite episodes. And everyone will agree. It's called "Fly BTS Fly." It has a Part 1 and Part 2. Again, I laughed and laughed. You love watching them be themselves, having fun, and goofing off. Then "RunBTS" is your show to watch and enjoy. You might pick one day a week you watch this so we know what day to tune in to watch you react to "RunBTS". Or random works, too. Enjoy.

V is an old soul, he dresses like an old man. You should watch The American Hustle Life when they came and were mentored by Warren G (their early begining), Bon Voyage (when they travel to different Countires), In the Soop (when they are on a break). Run BTS (where they play games and do other activites). There is so much content on BTS it's like the never ending story. You get to see them the way they are. They are truly humble and fun and just like us I think that is why they are so loved. 🙂💜 They were so young when they started, babies. They are the bes to watch cause they act like regular people with no filter. 😂

It's frowned on for idols to curse publicly and a song will get banned from the radio for one bad word. They've made it pretty clear over the years that several of them curse, but not so much in public. To me, they cut out a bit too much of the clip where Jin ate something and someone off screen cursed. The cursing was in response to what Jin ate, which was a bite with a lot of wasabi on it. And the one cursing was JK, which is why Jin reacted the way that he did. This was at a point where JK was still considered to be everyone's innocent little angel.
This is exactly the type of videos I would binge when I was a new army, so many moments, so little context 🤣🤣🤣
