Kelly, it’s so refreshing to watch someone truly enjoy life. Keep crushing it!!! Love all your videos. And if you see a farm, you need to play ‘hey cow’
"If you're gettin' bit, you need to walk faster." 😂 It's so true though. The alpine lake was absolute serenity. I just finished dinner, but the fish fry has me drooling. Another 10 of a vid 9L! ✌️
Beer batter halibut deep fried is the best there is! That’s the sleeping lady mountain just beyond the Cook Inlet on your way back down from the lake. Beautiful 🤩 country!
Alaska sure is beautiful. Can you imagine what's that like in the wintertime. Wondering will we see surfing videos in the future? Stay well and enjoy life. Thanks so much for your videos.
Thank you for sharing. I love that hike. You can also go up the ridge on the left and climb the mountain. You are getting closer to saying CHEW- gatch. LOL. Chugatch
Oh my gawd, Halibut's my favorite and it looked so tasty cooked as fish n chips with the batter, I'm so jealous. We used to feast on King salmon when I was up there, baked the whole fish and of course King crab, yum...take care and travel on !!
Kelly thanks for bringing us along that country is amazing.. hope yr not forgetting yr bear spray 😊 . And dinner made me hungry just watching u lol ✌️ love my friend…
Thanks for this vid. I drove there from Florida last year. I was in Denali, Soldotna, and Seward. I passed through Anchorage of course. Unfortunately, for 12 days I got rained on 80% of the time. Did you know August is rainy season in AK? I didn’t, & locals told me they were having an unusually wet period, even for Aug. They said I missed months of fantastic weather by about a week. I had a couple of clear days, and the rainy days were still cool. British Columbia in both directions was clear and fantastic. Your view of Denali was great. At Denali Nat. park, they said a lot of people don’t see it when they’re there, because of clouds.
Try hiking in Bridgeport Ca. When I was there a few times training I always wanted to come back as a civilian! Four kids and a mortgage later ill have to live through you!
I've hiked to the top of Flattop many times. Used to pick blueberries along the trail. Was it hidden lake that you visited. I swam in that lake once. It was a tad bit chilly as I recall.
@@kellyhays23 You said you were moving halfway across the country. Where did you go? Back to Alaska? Virginia (James)? New temporary job with local adventures? Since you posted a special notice, I figured there would be an update.
@@kellyhays23 I went to the doctor; he told me I don't have long to live, because the suspense is killing me. (That's a joke, albeit a bad one.) Have a geat day.
@@kellyhays23 That is interesting, never even thought peanut oil would be used for deep frying fish. Good thing a friend of mine wasn't there ... shes deathly allergic to both peanuts and fish ! ( however I'd love to try it )
I can't remember if you had "shore lunch" in the vidie where you caught the fish....Please tell me you did!!! Nothing beats "outta the water into the frying pan" FRESH fish for lunch :)

It rained nearly everyday that wasn't winter. Abnormal rainy. Also just had the second slowest winter in anchorage history. You pick a bad year lol

Thanks Kelly now after your videos I have to go to Alaska 😅. Keep the videos coming 😊
Definitely the preferred hike to avoid crowds on a sunny Saturday.
I wondered if the thumbnail was rabbit lake! I was there July 9th on another bluebird day! Such a nice hike.
Hey Kelly, Perhaps summer employment in Alaska??? Anchorage is 15 minutes from Alaska or so they say...Pocket Money for U!
Thank you for the super!!! I think I will be looking for work in Alaska in the future for sure!!

That's sweet. I'm headed there in 3 weeks to my land.
Good beautiful video, with lots of great beautiful views, with a bear, 😮, so let's keep on hiking 😊
I thought the halibut was amazing too!
the fish turned out so nice and healthy to eat !
If you scratch out chicken for fish fry, you'ld have the Zac Brown song!!! ❤❤❤❤
Have you done the CDT yet? If not when will you do it?
Not yet! An announcement will be coming soon…
Sweet.
👏🏼👏🏼
Hopefully we make it to Alaska!
Lake looked a little busy, you got me hungry for some fish, but it probably won't be as good as yours.
Hahaha that fish was hard to beat
Kelly, do you happen to know what type of oil that was that the fish was deep fried in ?
Peanut!
@@kellyhays23 That is interesting, never even thought peanut oil would be used for deep frying fish. Good thing a friend of mine wasn't there ... shes deathly allergic to both peanuts and fish ! ( however I'd love to try it )
Oh, my gosh....this is THE LIFE. Hiking around Anchorage and eating fried fish.
You really have to go to Denali State Park
I agree!
