It was disheartening when I prepared my students for this clip then I saw the video was taken done when I reloaded the page. Thank you for putting it back up. It scares me that more and more people are downplaying and denying the Holocaust and mass killings during WW2. That is a factor that contributes to the situation we have today.
Wait, is someone downplaying the Holocaust? I mean, Holocaust deniers- mainly far-righters, conspiracy theorists, neo-fascists, anti-Semites- but I'd always percieved them to be obviously-discredited fringe groups. Is there any sort of large-scale attempt at downplaying or denying the Holocaust? I mean, it's the go-to, textbook example (in the most horrible way, of course) that people think of when they mention genocide, crimes against humanity, anti-Semitism.
I saw the uncensored version and I must say the images with Spartacus’s, as usual brilliant delivery were truly horrific and thought provoking, this is part of our history and must be told as graphically as possible to show the true horror that Man kind is capable of. I watched the World at War as a kid when it was first shown in the 1970’s it helped turn me into the anti war person I am, I think UA-cam is completely and utterly wrong to censor this video. A big thanks to all the time ghost team for all your hard work and brilliant delivery of such sensitive subjects in such uncertain times. Keep up the good work guys, hold no punches and let’s all hope this current madness can be resolved soon and with as little blood spilt as possible.
Being an anti war person is good, nobody ever should welcome it as it is just misery and suffering. However as much as WW1 and WW2 has given evidence that shows why to avoid war, WW2 also given proof as to what can happen if you avoid war at all cost.
Thank you Indy and especially Spartacus for putting the suffering of the Ukrainian people in historic perspective. Spartacus, I sincerely hope you are taking care of yourself given the especially grim topics of your episodes.
@Michael Johnston Thank you for your very considerate words. This history is very difficult to examine. It's through the love and care of our families, friends, and yes the TimeGhost Army that we take heart and are able to continue this work. Thoughtful comments like yours really do go a long way in helping emotionally while we sift through many …not so nice comments in these dark times. Thank you again, and please stay tuned each and every week.
@TimeGhost The only words I have to describe the work you & your team do to Teach & Educate your audience is Heroic. Your words Never Surrender, Never Forget always come back to me when I open a Historical Book. I'm more of a Greek-Roman / Irish-British Know-it-all but EVERYTHING from 1800-Now is so... important. Especially when we consider where Current Events are going. Your videos on The Holodomor & these videos of the Holocaust are some of the finest videos I've seen, ever. I have shown them to multiple friends & family. If everyone could show them to 5 people each, I truly believe that the world might be a more understanding place to live. Excelsior. 💪

For my friend in Ukraine who wants more people to understand her country’s suffering now that eyes are on it for now. I hope this video gets more likes or whatever the algorithm needs to get more people to watch. Learn about what went on and not let lies be told about what had happened nor forget that it did. As an ecologist, what I now worry is that with annual report 6 from IPCC that we may have to prepare much of these lessons for any civilization that survives after ours.
A couple years ago in college, I took a class on the Silk Road taught by a Polish professor, she made it clear even to this day we don't know the full scope of the horrors Stalin was doing to ethnic minorities in the Soviet Union with mass deportation, famine, terror, etc. before and especially after World War Two to all those groups who sided with Germany due to Stalin.
Wow, you guys are doing a real public service with such informational videos. thanks for these videos. I’ve learned most of what I know about Ukraine and it’s history from your past few videos.
Thank you for adding this series to your excellent library of WW1 & WW2 videos. The context you develop has deepened my understanding of history in the region. Again, thanks. It just kind of hit me tonight that Ukraine suffered the death, destruction, and atrocities of the Nazis only a decade after being almost starved out by the Soviets in the Holodomor of the 30's. No wonder they crave independence! May justice finally rule. Долой фашизм! Долой Путина!
I saw a tweet referencing something I would like your team to address one day: "With atrocities happening around the World the phrase we see in Holocaust memorials 'Never again' seems to be a tasteless joke." Less than a century after that atrocity against humanity we had several other examples of "bureaucratic murder machines"(how I call the structures behind events like the Holocaust) created across the World in places like Bosnia, Rwanda, Xinjiang among others. One of which(Bosnia) seems to be denied by "intellectuals" such as Noam Chomsky. You should create another chapter of "War against Humanity" series called "Never again?"(question mark) to talk about genocides committed after the end of the Holocaust less than 100 years ago. Since recent History tends to address currently living people and institutions it would be tricky to avoid potential lawsuits.
This is why I really like it that Spartacus says "Never Forget" at the end of his WAH videos instead of "Never Again" because, yeah, genocides have (and continue to) happen again. I'd like to think that if people didn't forget then "never again" would be possible. Sadly it seems that people are still forgetting, or worse, choosing to forget.
Xinjiang doesn't really fit under the murder machine category though, I've seen much hard to confirm information thrown around about there, slave labor, brainwashing, euthanization etc, but I haven't seen any half credible sources claim mass murder or holocaust level slaughter.
@@marzbanofmerv2324 It is plenty bad enough in China as is. How about: forced relocation of ethnic minority peoples into ‘re-education’ camps wherein they are forced into servitude sometimes as actors to fool tourists, rising nationalism and more. I wouldn’t be surprised if Winnie the Pooter used Pukin’s most recent aggression as a springboard to take Taiwan or any other lame world domination games he desires to play.
@@marzbanofmerv2324 You can't find proof because the Chinese government will arrest you if you actively look for it. They will tell the media to go to Xinjiang to look for proof of the genocide but when the media do try to go there they will be stopped by Chinese police. The only one they'll allow into Xinjiang are Han Chinese or foreign puppets, whose job is to spread lies that there's no genocide. Hardly independent journalists.
I'm glad I found this series. I watch your WW2 videos from time to time as UA-cam recommends them to me but I guess I hadn't subscribed until today. Strangely, this series has never shown up in the daily videos recommended by UA-cam like the WW2 series does so I didn't even know it existed. I had to specially do a search for TimeGhost/Ukraine, just on a whim to see if you had been covering the conflict in order to find it. As always great video & series. 👍 I am now definitely subscribed. Glory to Ukraine! 🙂 🇺🇸/🇺🇦
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing this information to the public in a non-partisan manner. I am not necessarily speaking of this Ukrainian series, I am bing more general, I truly believe this is the most vital channel on youtube, perhaps one of the most vital video publications ever created. all war is deplorable, forgetting the why, where, when, or how these conflicts took place is even more deplorable in my view. While I hardly consider myself Jewish, I 100% owe my existence to my Jewish heritage, my forefathers whom have been subjected and murdered throughout known history. I do not believe in the religion I was born into, I believe in the heritage I have grown to understand, You Time Ghost not only help keep my heritage alive, but you also bring understanding to those who have not heard the stories from survivors. Both my grandfathers fought in this particular conflict, on my paternal side Grandpa David earned commendations for his part navigating B-17s to places like Berlin, another of the many tragic events caused by the world war, covered so thoroughly by you Time Ghost. Before I saw that particular episode I never viewed any of the actions taken by the Allied powers as crimes against humanity, because of your tireless work I now know better. On my maternal side, I do not have many details but a single story of a Jewish, family in Czechoslovakia, all but the youngest son perished as far as I know. He allegedly hid inside a large hollowed-out tree while the family burned to death inside the home. somewhere on his path through the holocaust, he did find himself in a concentration camp, liberated by the red army. ultimately I am not certain how my grandpa Oscar got to America. I in fact know very little of how he survived, potentially on this own as a 5-10-year-old. You Time Ghost provides me with the details so methodically laid out, I can try and picture his path of survival and ultimately of my being brought into existence. Every day I see it as a miracle I exist, as we all should. I hear and say the words "Never Forget" it chills my very being every time. Cheers to you, Time Ghost for ensuring those words are truly never forgotten. May you never be censored, It would be a huge loss to me and humanity. after years of watching I finally felt compelled to share because people are being killed on the same ground, so many died less than 100 short years ago. It infuriates me when I hear or see media organizations comparing the current Ukrainian situation to the Holocaust, as far as I can tell people are not being loaded onto cattle trains headed for Siberia or lined up in the streets for execution. Context is so important and so many do not have it. I am thankful I have a small amount of context, in large part due to Time Ghost. NEVER FORGET.
I am not going to lie that I felt uneasy while listening to Spartacus talking about the massacre. I did not want to, but I had to put the image in my mind of how it would have looked like so that I won't ever forget. A haunting experience, but I appreciate TimeGhost doing this in a time when misinformation and lies are weaponized to either subdue the populace or target the specified group of people as government and state's enemies on a whim with shady evidence and falacy reasons, at times. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am in the USA and my family history falls from a different path and learned history from a slightly different perspective, however mostly accurate. The complete picture you all give to this historical context can not be understated. One thing I would like to add is that this is WWII. Not that long ago people! Thank you and your team for a wonderful job well done! We will not forget!
Spartacus, each time I watch one of your heart-wrenching-but eerily poetic-“War Against Humanity” episodes, and see all the “warnings” and picture-censoring UA-cam insists must be added to your videos so that you might simply have a voice to Tell the Truth, I think of what journalists and historians in Putin’s Russia must endure, and oh so much worse. BRAVO to TimeGhost for taking a much-needed stand against Putin’s contemporary war against humanity in Ukraine!!!!! We forget at our own great peril

Spartacus, Indy, Astrid and crew especially Iryna from Ukraine. I have been a regular commentator on Spartacus' series War Against Humanity (WAH) , and was honored when you chose one of my comments concerning the poor child Anne Frank and her historically invaluable diary. As it gets harder to find your videos on the Ukraine atrocities currently happening due to censorship by UA-cam ( who incidentally should be striving to become a key means of information not a bastion of cendirship), I want to offer you my , by now customary ling distance Bear Hugs in support of what you are doing, a small way to offer encouragement. I also want to bring to your attention two very different things. The first is about a little 12 year old girl named Yeva Skaletskaye and her elderly grandmother Iryna. They have fled Kharkiv and are in a refugee center in Moldova ( which by no means will be a safe place in the future). Young, brave, courageous, and inciteful Yeva has kept a diary since the invasion began. Documenting her and her grandmother's struggles as well as the struggles of her friends in Kharkiv. She is the modern day Anne Frank. Yeva's slim little diary, written in her best schoolgirl handwriting should and if right must be both a reminder and warning to the rest of the world. And I pray to God that she and her grandmother find a truly safe country in which they can live in peace. SHE MUST NOT END LIKE ANNE FRANK! she must be allowed to grow, thrive and prosper in a free world and it is up to the western democracies to help her and th 1.5 million (so far) Ukranian refugees. I found her story on the British Channel 4 news feed here on UA-cam and I encourage others to follow this poor sweet child's struggle. Sadly far too many other Ukranian children and families have not been so fortunate as to reach a safe country. Just before discovering Yeva's story, I witnessed a young family , struggling to flee, a mother, father and small child. As the BBC reporter was speaking, a Russian mortar shell exploded. The dust settles, and that poor family lies dead in the street. You and your crew are a strong voice in this tragedy. Your message must not be censored or silenced. It was horrific to see that little family be killed, but the world must see it, and they must hear your stories of the horrors of the past, to show us just what happens when tyrants attack innocents. Keep up your excellent work, I know it must be an emotional struggle, but you are needed, appreciated, respected and loved for what you do. Again I send you my ling distance Bear Hugs. My second point is this, it is very easy to spiral into depression, to become angry, to become morose, especially with what you must all see every day. Even I, an old disabled guy living far away in the US feel it. Yesterday I revisited an "old friend " , one who made me smile and laugh as a young man, and it lifted my spirits. Humor is an equally powerful tool, soldiers know too well it's importance in keeping them safe in terrible conditions. And you are Soldiers, the core company of the Time Ghost Army. I thought I would share this man's work. His name is Tom Lehrer, a political satirist from the 1960s, during the height of the cold war, a voice of reason and wry humor in a dark time full of terrible uncertainty. Ironic that the president of Ukraine was a comedian, a satirist, who rose to power because of his satire. It is a powerful weapon in the fight for truth and reason. Tom Lehrer's satire is relevant today, and it leaves you both seriously thinking about a difficult situation and laughing about the absurdity of it all. You can find his recordings here on UA-cam. Perhaps a brief bit of satirical humor from A time when the world faced a potential world war three, will boost your spirits and give you a bit of strength to carry on. Iyena, I hope your family is safe and secure, and thank you to all of you.
Thank you so much for this Episode. Your introduction alone is a perfect example of unbiased and objective presentation of historical information. That it had been purposely forgotten is no surprise to me, as Stalin was also antisemitic (I believe Indy talks about it in one of the OotFH Episodes). I hope that there will be some episodes on pre 20th Century Ukraine history, for it is very interesting and goes back to the 16th Century. For those who are interested, EASTORY's three Part series about the Deludge covers some very important events of History for the whole Region. Also, I recommend reading on Kathrine the Great, her "Greek Project" and the austro/russian War of 1787 to 1792.
Is there a way to watch the uncensored version? I hate that youtube won't let a documentary have pictures in it. I know it's not all pictures, but it's just such a joke on youtubes' side. I'd understand it if you guys made fun of the victims, but just telling the horrific story of what happened to hundreds of thousands of people, shouldn't be censored, but maybe age restricted? I don't know why yt does these things. Anyways, i can't really say i "enjoyed" the video, as that would be kind of a weird way to say it, but i did find it interesting. And it also made it possible for so many more people to know/learn about this dark chapter in human history. So thank you Spartacus and Indy (and the rest of the team) for making this video.
Thank you for highlighting this piece of history, I’ve now seen it three times and it so disturbs me. I have a young son and I want him to know of his people’s history. He knows of the Holocaust but I hesitate to reveal such brutal facts of man’s inhumanity to man -
I am crying, as i pen this. When i was young my Bubbe would recount stories of our family members, friends & members of the shtetls (whom she had known, or was told about) who perished during the Shoah. She was such an intelligent, witty, loving & perceptive woman, my Bubbe. I have never forgotten these moments, her tales nor my wondrous Grandmother, herself - i never shall. President Zelensky said it best, in a tweet, he asks “what is the point of saying 'never again' for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar?” I am crying, yet. You, TimeGhost do NOT forget. Thank You Spartacus, Indy, Astrid & Anna (And, your entire incredible group of compatriots) for ALL that you do; it is greatly appreciated & much respected. Shalom, daniel diner
I can’t even begin to imagine what life back then was like. Especially if were Jewish. My Grandmother and my Dad were German. I learned far more about the Constitution and The Bill of Rights,, and what truly being a citizen of the United States means from my Grandmother who lived through Hitlers Nazi Germany, than I learned throughout school.

As I said previously, this history and its horror never fail to make me both angry and depressed. And to see conflict again break out and envelop this place, a needless tragedy. This may be censored but if more people see it, then the work was worth it. Never Forget.
From the beginning I understood that calling Ukrainians "nazis" was completely wrong. But, after this video I am shocked how a president could say such ignorant things.
Why? Almost nothing but crap comes out of politicians' mouths. There is reason why in Dante's inferno, there is a place in hell just for being a politician.
True, it's just so stupid that one of their objectives is to "de-nazify Ukraine", I think Putin's playing more with European historic memory as WWII is a very much alive subject, however it gives him enough word-play as to decide when the invasion has "accomplished" the objective, this can happen in days (as he thought he could do) or years (as the US did in Afghanistan).
If you look at policy and political ideology, Putin is a far right wing demagogue, and far closer to the Nazis than the Communists everyone wants to compare him to.
@@timothyhouse1622 Yes, there's still the debate if Nazism (and fascism) is right wing or something completely different, but Putin has nothing of the old Soviet leaders he wants to portray onto himself haha, maybe he's closer to Stalin but that just makes him a dictator (something that he actually is)
Hi, You have probably answered this before, but what did you have to censor to appease youtube? Is it too graphical images or certain words that get the videos age restricted? Anyway thanks for your hard work, I look forward to the videos every week. I have learned a lot from them.

Because it showed the atrocities and UA-cam doesn’t think that teenagers, children and people who doesn’t want to provide Google with a credit card or a scan of their passport should watch that.
No matter how difficult it is to watch it must be remembered. UA-cam censorship is the thin end of the wedge and the beginning of rewriting or sanitising history. Never forget!
As far as I can tell, youtube relies on audience reporting for a lot of stuff. Which means that stuff that offends audiences gets marked for review, and then they find the images that are in just about every episode. Most of the time, the offending content is misdeeds of a nationalist group in eastern Europe. Soviet crimes occasionally get hit as well, though its hard to tell if those bad-faith complainers are Russian nationalists or pro-communists.
Mr Sturges--is there anyway to get a download from you? I would appreciate it. I was "quick" enough to view the original edition but never imagined that the UA-cam nannies would censor the very images that demonstrate the depravity of this terrible crime
It’s impossible to “like” such a video, too horrible to associate. For purposes of the algorithm, though, I have subscribed and commented. Never forget.

Just so you know my thinking on this, I have commented and liked the video, (long time subscriber). The reason for my like is not about the horrific content that was discussed. It was more for a sign to Indy and his team for putting a voice to the evil horror that was done, and hopefully will not, or ever be forgotten. This is just my spin on it and the reason for my like.
Dear TimeGhost content creators, could you do a comparison on the current Russo-Ukrainian war and the Russo-Finnish war in 1939 please? Remembering Sabaton's song Talvisota, the lyrical bit of "He thought of the might he possessed -And not of his foe" seemed very comparable to how things stand today. Thanks for making a form of stand despite your historian neutrality.
@Opperbuil .NL Our plan is not to cover the current conflict itself so much as to provide some context to it by looking at Ukraine's history, so such a comparison might be outside the scope of our project quite apart from the fact that the current conflict is still ongoing. Once the conflict is over (and we all pray that that is soon) historians might be able to start looking at such comparisons. Thanks for watching with us
Spartacus Olsson, your clock needs to be changed to about 10 seconds until midnight. Even though the doomsday clock was just updated in Jan of this year, it is much much closer today.
They stated (and I don't believe this has ever been disputed) that bombs/missiles were directed at a telecommunications tower located at the Babbi Yar site and near the memorial. The memorial was not damaged, contrary to the earlier rumor that the memorial itself had been bombed.

There is a belief that Ukrainian civilians did assist the murder of their own Jewish population more consistently than other European countries under Nazi occupation. It’s valuable to hear evidence to the contrary.
@Adam Larson Thank you for watching. It is not easy to examine these events, and we're thankful for our audience in joining us to remember the victims of such barbarity.

That was horrible. Never did I look into the history of Babi Jar, I dont havve the nerves. Its sad what is currently going on in Ukraine. I fear we will get a repeat of 1939.
I do understand why youtube restricted the original video. The imagery, as well as the spoken content, is very graphic. Given the subject matter, I think that the graphic content is necessary. I don't approve, but I do understand.
Your previous video has unfortunately also been age restricted. I am older than 18 but it says I have to verify my age by sending a copy of my passport or credit card which I simply refuse to do because that's just a rediculous request imo.
I know this might not be a time and place but do you think you guys could ever do special episodes on those in Russia, Ukraine and the Baltics who supported the Nazi's during ww2 or had Nationalistic or Anti-Communist ideas? Like the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, OUN, Russian Liberation Army and other such groups. I feel Nazi collaboration groups are often spoken mostly about in the French and Croatian Puppet states but less so in other countries.
@Patrick sorry for the reply delay! We released a special episode on the SS Volunteers from the Baltics, Yugoslavia, and Ukraine a couple weeks ago on World War Two if you want to check it out!
The fact that youtube continue to restrict access to content showing and discussing sensitive yet important topics makes me angry, but most of all, dissappointed. Even when the topics discussed and associated images and videos clearly fall under various nations' exceptions on what is appropriate to show younger audiences, youtube continues to age restrict or outright take down content because the algorithm flags something as containing gore, or even worse, taking something down for being repeatedly reported by users for disturbing content. How are we supposed to tackle the spread of misinformation, shine a light on the truth, and tell the story of what actually happened to younger generations and those who can only access youtube without logging in and using clandestine means to access the free internet due to repressive governments, when an arbirary policy says that the content is either only appropriate for those over 18, or not allowed at all? However horrible such content may be, how are we supposed to spread awareness in historical deep-dives such as what Timeghost is doing when any video telling the naked historical truth by using first hand sources is restricted or removed? Many of these first-hand sources are even explicitly exempted from restrictions by national censors and shown in classrooms as part of curriculums in schools across the world. The work that you do here goes in to far deeper depth on a wider range of topic, and spend more time on those topics than any school's curriculum can afford to do. Be it due to budget, time, or other constraints. Yet your important work is repeatedly censured simply because an automated system does not, will not, or is not able to make the same distiction as (human) national regulators. History is not, and have never been all roses and daises. The main difference in detail between the events of the Thirty years' war and the World Wars of the 20th century is that we have photographic and videographic evidence of the latter. What good is such evidence to the world if we cannot show them to the younger generations? There is nothing to gain from restricting information of what the true horrors of war actually entail and the sheer scope of barbarism that humanity, sadly, has shown it self capable of time and time again. Never Forget.

Thank you
Being an anti war person is good, nobody ever should welcome it as it is just misery and suffering.
However as much as WW1 and WW2 has given evidence that shows why to avoid war, WW2 also given proof as to what can happen if you avoid war at all cost.
Censoring history. Shame on you UA-cam. There was nothing wrong with the original episode.
Excelsior. 💪
Thank you for this special. You present it with dignity. A thoughtful add-on to the regular (much appreciated) episodes. Thank you for your work.

Well made, thanks for taking the time in your already overflowing agenda while producing massive amounts of excellent episodes!
@Marc Steenbergen you are very welcome
Historical context to present headlines is effective format. Love it.
@Carla Broderick Thank you very much, the team works tirelessly on every aspect of these series. It helps us immensely reading supportive comments like yours. Thanks for watching, take care.
Thank you for this historical connection between the crimes of the past and the present.
Thank you for watching with us @Volodymyr Tkachuk
A couple years ago in college, I took a class on the Silk Road taught by a Polish professor, she made it clear even to this day we don't know the full scope of the horrors Stalin was doing to ethnic minorities in the Soviet Union with mass deportation, famine, terror, etc. before and especially after World War Two to all those groups who sided with Germany due to Stalin.
Wow, you guys are doing a real public service with such informational videos. thanks for these videos. I’ve learned most of what I know about Ukraine and it’s history from your past few videos.
@Robert grey Thank you for joining us
Thank you for adding this series to your excellent library of WW1 & WW2 videos.
I saw a tweet referencing something I would like your team to address one day: "With atrocities happening around the World the phrase we see in Holocaust memorials 'Never again' seems to be a tasteless joke."
Less than a century after that atrocity against humanity we had several other examples of "bureaucratic murder machines"(how I call the structures behind events like the Holocaust) created across the World in places like Bosnia, Rwanda, Xinjiang among others.
Excellent suggestion. May I add my 👍.
Welcome to our channels!!
It's always hard to watch these episodes. Thank you Spartacus! I can't imagine how hard it is for you to present to us such facts.
Thank you.
Thank you for watching
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am in the USA and my family history falls from a different path and learned history from a slightly different perspective, however mostly accurate. The complete picture you all give to this historical context can not be understated. One thing I would like to add is that this is WWII. Not that long ago people! Thank you and your team for a wonderful job well done! We will not forget!
@Dale Eladakus Thank you for watching. We appreciate how engaged in history our audience is, please stay tuned for more every week

Our most recent video of Into Context: Ukraine was age restricted by UA-cam. That means that young people can't watch it, adults are less likely to have it recommended, have to have an account, an in some regions undergo a complicated age verification video. We just want to reach people with this historiography, to make sure as many people as possible learn from the mistakes and success from the past. This is a hurdle, but we're not going anywhere and will continue on our mission.

@TimeGhost History Never give up, Never forget!
I usually don’t get very emotional watching historical videos. I feel sympathy and disgust when hearing of the horrors, but I typically allow those feelings to pass. Today, this video brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for giving everyone information that needs to be known, and never forgotten.
@SoulStealerSlayers Thank you very much for watching. Reading such heartfelt comments like yours is very touching, I'm glad you joined us and appreciated our telling of history. Please stay tuned for much more

@Eden Thank you for your very kind words of support. We couldn't do it without you in the TimeGhost Army.
@Brian Nicholas Thanks for your kind words
Watched it the first time and I'll watch it again because this is important information.
@The Mandalorian Thank you for joining us twice!
Thank your for sharing this…
Thanks for watching, Mike
President Zelensky said it best, in a tweet, he asks “what is the point of saying 'never again' for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar?”
I am crying, yet.
You, TimeGhost do NOT forget.
Thank You Spartacus, Indy, Astrid & Anna
(And, your entire incredible group of compatriots) for ALL that you do; it is greatly appreciated & much respected.
Shalom,

@Con O regan Thank you for watching!
I can’t even begin to imagine what life back then was like. Especially if were Jewish.
My Grandmother and my Dad were German. I learned far more about the Constitution and The Bill of Rights,, and what truly being a citizen of the United States means from my Grandmother who lived through Hitlers Nazi Germany, than I learned throughout school.
life was not that great for African Americans in the United States during that time either.

@Rabih R Thank you for remembering with us.
@@NoeHernandezPe767 not really, it's 100% playing to the already, miseducated Russian working class to keep domestic unrest supressed by misdirection.
If you look at policy and political ideology, Putin is a far right wing demagogue, and far closer to the Nazis than the Communists everyone wants to compare him to.
@@timothyhouse1622 Yes, there's still the debate if Nazism (and fascism) is right wing or something completely different, but Putin has nothing of the old Soviet leaders he wants to portray onto himself haha, maybe he's closer to Stalin but that just makes him a dictator (something that he actually is)
Hi,
You have probably answered this before, but what did you have to censor to appease youtube? Is it too graphical images or certain words that get the videos age restricted?
Anyway thanks for your hard work, I look forward to the videos every week. I have learned a lot from them.
The images are blurred out

Never forget. Ever.
This is just unimaginable... How... Why...
Why did this get taken down for?
Because it showed the atrocities and UA-cam doesn’t think that teenagers, children and people who doesn’t want to provide Google with a credit card or a scan of their passport should watch that.
Not taken down, but age-restricted. That reduces the likelihood people see it, and blocks it for young people.
Is there a way to watch uncensored?
@Geronimo Williams You are still able to find the uncensored version by going to our channel and finding our videos from there
No matter how difficult it is to watch it must be remembered. UA-cam censorship is the thin end of the wedge and the beginning of rewriting or sanitising history. Never forget!
@Von Sprague Thank you very much for watching & being here to support us
I'm upset at you tube. Why censor this? It's the truth. It's factual. It happened and people should know.
What the hell happened to You Tube that these important historical events have to even be partially censored...2+2=4
Seriously this part of history shouldn’t be censured in these times. Especially after Russia had shelled Bar Binjiar memorial.
Detailed graphically in War and Remembrance.
Thank God I watched the original and already downloaded if
Mr Sturges--is there anyway to get a download from you? I would appreciate it. I was "quick" enough to view the original edition but never imagined that the UA-cam nannies would censor the very images that demonstrate the depravity of this terrible crime
It’s impossible to “like” such a video, too horrible to associate. For purposes of the algorithm, though, I have subscribed and commented.
Never forget.
@Justanotherconsumer Thank you for joining us! If you've not yet, please consider joining the TimeGhost Army to help our channel produce this content every single week www.patreon.com/join/timeghosthistory
Bone chilling... The monstrous works of man.
that's confirmed then? I heard it was just a rumour it was bombed, but apparently *that* was just a rumour.
They stated (and I don't believe this has ever been disputed) that bombs/missiles were directed at a telecommunications tower located at the Babbi Yar site and near the memorial. The memorial was not damaged, contrary to the earlier rumor that the memorial itself had been bombed.
I am curious, what steps can we consumers take to stop youtube from sanitizing historical factual reports?

How are we supposed to 'never forget' if the biggest video sharing site in the world surpresses evidence? Susan? Susan?
That was horrible. Never did I look into the history of Babi Jar, I dont havve the nerves.
Its sad what is currently going on in Ukraine. I fear we will get a repeat of 1939.
I do understand why youtube restricted the original video. The imagery, as well as the spoken content, is very graphic. Given the subject matter, I think that the graphic content is necessary. I don't approve, but I do understand.
Encourage people to do their worst-and they will.
Your previous video has unfortunately also been age restricted. I am older than 18 but it says I have to verify my age by sending a copy of my passport or credit card which I simply refuse to do because that's just a rediculous request imo.
Never forget. Never again!
Horrifying. Just horryfing. I can't even imagin how human animal can act.
@Skogsmard Thank you for supporting us. Reading reflective comments like yours helps to ease the tension that comes from dealing with the …not so thoughtful comments we get on the channel. Getting these videos to a wider audience is very important to us, not because 'viewers' is any sort of great accomplishment, but because we believe in teaching history, and the inherent value of its study.
Thanks for watching, and please stay tuned so we can read more of your thoughts on the war as we move through it.
I too never forget...
I really wonder if any of the men who committed the Babyn Yar massacre managed to walk away with their souls intact. I mean surely you can’t participate in something like this and go back to a normal life can you?
You can when you truly believe those ppl you murdered to be inferior or even subhuman.
That is what hateful xenophobia gets us.
KEEP IT UP Y'ALL

@One Smooth Stone Thank you, we will!
Great video. Poor form from UA-cam to censor it
Incredibly sad that UA-cam restricted the content of the previous video and you guys are forced to censor it. Love everything you guys do, and i hope you will never stop. Never Forget!
@Coen S Thanks very much for the kind words. To help us get these videos out to a wider audience remember to like, subscribe, and please consider joining the TimeGhost Army on Patreon and tell your friends to help support our channel so we can bring this important history to more people www.patreon.com/join/timeghosthistory
Thank you for making history real. I'd heard a lot about Babyn Yar, but never the details at the level you note. And the details are where the horror lies.
@Glenn MacGilvra Thank you for watching. The details of such events are indeed where the horror lies, and there's no changing that. But we appreciate our audience's steadfast engagement with history. As we explore these horrifying events, having such a thoughtful, caring audience brings us great catharsis. Thanks for joining us, be sure to stick around every week for more
This whole war has been just a tragedy, making its mark upon many other tragedies within the region.
Al Go Rythem, this is for you!
@Philip Shovar We and Al thank you
Its to be censored is very frustrating
Censored eh
Commenting just to game the algo-reeeeee'thm. Knowledge of these events should be anything but buried.
@Diminios We thank you for your support, and so does the algorithm
UA-cam really needs to get their heads out of their backsides.
Sigh. A video dedicated to telling history, and showing what happened in one of the worst atrocities ever committed is censored. But hey we can have people pretty naked in videos on YT and it's perfectly ok.
UA-cam, get your priorities in order.
@Rick K. We appreciate your support, thank you for watching
NEVER FORGET. NEVER AGAIN
i hate censorship
