Your so much fun to watch, even 2 years later from when you posted these videos. I’ve just stared to use these water mixable oils. I’ve been a fine art wildlife artist for 50 years with watercolour and oils. I was impressed as I’m 75 a grandma with the same hairstyle 😊
We're so happy you came back for a rewatch!! Hopefully the water mixable oils are treating you well-- we'd be excited to see your work! - Mia, Art Prof Staff
UA-cam gods? I don't think it is so much the UA-cam gods as much as it is people don't have that kind of attention span. The artists I watch online, and are really enjoyable are husband/wife duos (wife paints, hubby does the cameras) and there is some comradery between the two which kind of makes the time go by a little quicker. I actually stumbled upon you, probably because of the algorithm. I actually found you because I was looking for video's about Water-Mixable oils. And for this being your first time (over the three videos) to work with water mixable oils, you did amazing. I should consider doing monochrome occasionally.
Just started researching water mixable oils, went thru a bunch of vids and of course the best one was yours. Saved the best for last. I really loved that you took advantage of the medium with the subtractive techniques here. Look forward to more!
This was an awesome group of streams, and kind of makes me want to give this medium a try (added to my list along side gouache and making paints). I'm sad I didn't make this one live because of the person who asked the "am I too old" question. I'm 32 and it was the beginning of this year that I started not only learning a new medium (acrylic) but also all the technique and basics. So, yeah, if you don't age out of crash coursing head first then I doubt you age out learning any new part to what you're already doing. Keep at it!
Yeah give water mixable oils a shot! Huge that you don't have to deal with solvents. This video might give you some inspiration in terms of the "am I too old" question: Does Age Matter for Visual Artists? ua-cam.com/video/h7ERKzhFFMU/v-deo.html -Prof Lieu
I´ve been thinking about artprof a lot lately haha, and I´ve been also wondering, have you guys tried making tiktoks? There is a huge creative community in the app and it could possibly help you guys grow a lot bigger
Thanks for your video. I'm surprised you don't have more views. If you like Kathleen speranza you should check out david jansen. He's famous for his flowers and lost and found edges. He has tons of free videos. I'm looking forward to checking out more of yours. While it was lengthy I did enjoy your dialogue and problem solving. Thank you!
Will Kemp has a great video with a lot of valuable info about traditional oil vs water mixable oil paint

Thank you, Prof ! I was painting along with a different painting but hearing you think out loud about your process was very soothing and educational.
It's like being in studio together! I'm glad you found it helpful. 😊 -Lauryn, Art Prof Teaching Artist

Amazing! - Mia Rozear, Art Prof Staff
Have you seen Fish Tank with Michael Fasbender in? It's a very powerful and dark British film.
Only about 800 times 😂 -Prof Lieu
Can I use traditional oil mediums with water-based oil paints or do I have to use specific water-based oil mediums with this paint?

I would love to, but we just don't have the budget to afford staff to create content for Tik Tok, hopefully some day! -Prof Lieu
