Let me know how you get on - andrewthamesside (gmail.com) A pair of opposed flippers are needed to stop action/reaction "wobble" With you driving it with leg power - you will get a very good idea of how efficient it is Send me an email to let me know how it works - Andrew Hall
@@andrewhall2702 I'll probably post a video, however short it may be. I've been going back and forth on ideas for a while but I like the dual flipper because you don't lose power to boat pivoting. Another idea that has caught my attention is a flat dolphin like wing, but I'm not sure how deep it will have to go and I'm often in shallow water hitting trees, though I could hold it in the upper position for clearance... Hmm... Plus one central point of contact could mean I could steer with the flat tail...
@@fryncyaryorvjink2140 A video would be great. A wing underneath to lift you and the boat - Yes looking at the videos -it's just about possible with a bicycle and a very strong cyclist? - Dual flipper will be far easier? - One idea at a time?
@@andrewhall2702 I'm not looking to lift the boat like a hydrofoil. I've seen a few flat flippers that angle themselves on the up and downstroke to create propulsion. The only problem is so far it seems like it would be much more bulky than 2 vertical flippers, but I'll work on the idea some more. I want it to be minimal as it's a rather small boat that I'd like to be able to bring a second person on

I'm looking to do this on an inflatable dinghy I just bought, but foot powered
