Just about to order our first GMG Trek to explore American bbqing (we are Aussie’s). After watching this we definitely have to order the pizza oven too! Thanks for the great video 😊🍕
Great video. Question though. When you begin to make the pizza crust, I noticed there was a thin layer of a yellowish powder spread out on your countertop. Is that corn meal? I just purchased the same pizza oven as you and I’m struggling with sliding the peel underneath the uncooked pizza as well as sliding it onto the pizza stone. I’ve placed a thin layer of corn meal on the peel before trying to slide it under the uncooked pizza but the dough still sticks. Is there a certain technique to this?
Yes, we use corn meal on the pizza peel. We have never had a problem with the pizza sticking until the last time we made pizza. My wife thinking it was because we let the dough rise too long. I think we just needed more corn meal. I’d try a little e corn meal and then put the pizza in the oven and give the peel a quick pull out of the oven. Hopefully the pizza will remain in place. Depending on the temperature I rotate the pizza every couple minutes. It has worked great for us with the exception of the last cook. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
@@OurMorningView. I will certainly let you know how it goes! In your video, you made it look easy, but last time when I tried to put the pizza in the oven, it wouldn't slide off. I'll use more corn meal!
We are still traveling but it looks slightly different. We have made a few changes in lifew and how we RV. The next couple videos we will talk about them. We are currently at the home base in the Phoenix area. Last weekend we were in Palm Springs and will be headed to Quartzite this weekend. We have several adventures planned and are looking forward to getting out on the road for longer periods. Thanks for sticking around! We appreciate it!
Agreed. We are actually going back to Quartzsite on 3 February to have solar Bill install a couple more solar panels. Then we are off to Laughlin Nevada for five days.
Great video, guys. Now I want woodfired pizza. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels
Thanks, Craig. I believe every guy needs a smoker. They are awesome.
