I noticed a contradictory statement: "And their energy will remain constant," (1:40) and "Each time they deviate, the electrons emit energy in the form of light." (2:10) Wouldn't this mean that the electrons lose energy every time they deviate?

the energy lost is recovered because of interactions with magnetic fields
I think he means, energy is 'kept' constant with the help of E and B fields.
