I don't remember this game having so much evasion. Everything is whiffing.
Because of TAS (Tool Assist Speedrun) the AI always reads your inputs thats why it whiffs...
I miss when Tekken had _modes_ .
Unfortunately, the focus towards online is sucking the fun out of singleplayer in fighting games - in Tk7 the only "content" post-"story" is Treasure Battle... or the Bowl DLC.
Arcade is just... meh.
I can forgive that they didn't have budget for Tekken 7 since they were on the verge of series bankruptcy after TTT2. I think Tekken 8 will make up for the lack of content in Tekken 7.
Tresure is amazing!
I enjoy treasure mode but it does get old after a while. I personally had no idea Tag 2 was a financial failure. That game looks amazing. And it was filled to the brim with offline content.
@@jvjv8093 this exactly pretty much, if you remember ttt2, they didn't hold back at all and they put everything into that game they could think of, down to the vast amount of unique throws, win poses, intro poses, ending cutscenes and so on
tekken 8 is probably gonna have one hell of a budget so they likely won't let us down

Because netcode would be like, "nah u good" and boot you offline
Loading times are dogshit with SSD and slow with mods so there's zero point to implement it. Might as well go back to lobby and change the characters.
Virgin casuals didn't want this feature among many past great things. Hence why Tekken is dumbed-down now.

the movement and stages in T5 are so wonderful, that beginning part of King vs Marduk was very cool

Every time he makes a tool assist "reaction" all he does is talk about the stages and win poses
I miss that win pose of Lei where he says you are not good enough and those awesome stages where the coins are going all over the place love the attention to detail now it's just a stage and music and less facial animation, nothing more nothing less graphically wise T7 that is.

A 8 x 1 handicap on team battle was one of the few ways I could get my cousin to play Tekken with me. I really miss it.

I love the fact these are lore matches. Also, I do root for Yoshimitsu.
Just watched tmm as a final boss. He’s an awesome streamer, the combos and details of the game but that’s all he is unlike other streamers whose as good on tourneys as they play on streams. For entertainment and basic purposes, tmm is the guy to watch. Hope he’ll be as great in tourneys someday.

Honestly, now thinking about it, I really miss the days when you had to play the story mode to unlock new fighters
Now, just imagine for a moment, if you will, that T7 would also use this mechanic to unlock new fighters while also retaining everything else.
Dunring online matches you would encounter a fighter in online play you don't have and thought never knew existed in the game and then a treasure hunt ensues where you look up information on how to get him/her/it and try to get him, just for the gratification that from now on you can learn him/her/it in training mode to play in online matches, giving other people the same feeling of excitement you got, after first encountering this fighter.

Out of the Tekken games 3 and 5 are my absolute favorites the stages in 5 are amazing i love them and the music in 3 is one of my favorites too and game play on both games are spectacular. Tekken ball is my favorite like non arcade story mode in 3 i forget if 5 has one.
They should make online team battle like 3v3 or 5v5 and you can team up with friends
No, they shouldn't. That's a horrible idea. Being forced to watch while your friend is in sounds extremely frustrating. Tekken isn't meant for co-op.

Tekken slowly lost a lot of it's personality, removing the animal/joke characters was the first step, sure they were stupid but there's nothing wrong with that, then they slowly made characters more similar in gameplay and removed fun in game animations Laws stance used to be way better, and now they're even removing the fun parts of animations that aren't even in gameplay.

I miss when they had handicaps, i remember that the tag tournament meta completely changed and the game became more balanced when they changed the time to infinite and things like that, tekken 7 doesn't have enough options for customising the game to suit your needs in general
This really speaks volumes about how far fighting games have come over the years. What was considered TAS in the past is now just basic gameplay.
