hi there! can i maybe make the assumption that lots of older youtubers have been brought up in a different environment than she has so it was/is a big deal to them. it's their choice at the end of the day to deal with that however they want to, whether they make a big deal about it or don't make a thing out of it at all depends on how they look at it! they might have felt a responsibility to their audience to educate them and ensure to them that they were not alone at the time. the pace at which society has grown to accept lgbtq+ (especially younger audiences) has been really rapid so it blurs the line a little and makes it harder for us to recognize that even a couple years ago it might have been a bigger deal than it is now. if it weren't for those youtubers who made it a big deal and made an entire coming out video, god knows my own acceptance of my sexuality would have been delayed. alexis and I will deal with our sexuality differently because we're of a younger generation that has been very much exposed to the entire cycle of coming out, acceptance and general positivity that it can bring so we naturally don't feel like it's a big deal to us! we feel safe, loved and secure in ourselves and that's thanks to a lot of people standing up for who they are and i owe my security to all the people who've made it possible for me to be this happy in my own skin. lots of love. i know this is rant-y and i don't mean to be malicious at all. just wanted to clear that up
