At the grocery store on the Detergent isle you’ll find a shelf with products. There is a gold colored plastic bowl that says Rust on it. It instantly removes rust. It actually for clothes!❤

In Canada we have CLR I don’t know if you have that in the states. It removes Calcium, Lime and Rust so it’s handy to have around especially if you have hard water. Then I’d paint it with a outdoor paint. I didn’t know but they sell the rust oleum paint in a liquid so there’s no overspray. I used it to paint my mum’s metal railing, that was 4 years ago and there hasn’t been any peeling or further rusting. I used sanded it then used clr to clean it, then rinsed it. It turned out nice. Her outside lights were looking rough and I neither sanded nor cleaned it, just with my brain said paint it and I did. That has lasted 4 years too. So 🤷♀️ how clean it has to be. Probably the rest of railing I do because it has old paint and flakes of rust on it will have to be sanded. Just another 30 feet.

Make a paste of Bar Keepers friend for the rust! You know i will always say this! Then scrub it good, rinse it well. Spray rustolium primer on the whole door and then paint that sucker whatever color you want!!
Get you some CLR at Walmart to get rid of the rust on your door and stained toilet . Just wear gloves and try not to breathe it in it is strong but works great .
Ok thank you for the tip! I’ll make sure to Open the window - I wish we had one Of those vent fans in the bathroom. Using chemicals in there just about takes me out 😂 anytime I do anything to my hair or my moms or sister in laws we have to do it in the kitchen because we will suffer 😂
