You can add the hands but have the mittens like gloves on his/her hands Also add a tempreture kinda feature where if your out of the train for too long you get too cold since its snowing alot 😢also add cloth to make javkets to make you stay out longer . Cloth/fur can be obtained by coyote and bears /other wildlife if you add eny 👍😆

And This game has much potential, I hope more people recognize you and helped you in this project, since i know for making a game is not easy and takes a lot of time and passtion to do it! Hey, nice devlog out here! I event have an idea for your game i was thinking about! So, in this game you have a flare gun for lightning up areas. But I think we can give it another purpose. Animals are scared of bright light and fire, just like flare gun. So, how about adding a flare gun purpose for self defence? After you fire your flare gun, the flares will scare the animals and you wont need to spend ammo for it. But - here's a catch! Some animals will be infected by Rabies, allowing them to ignore the flares and get to you very quickly. I dont know if they will be different from normal variants, but you can decide about it. Hope my grammar is good. Good job mate!
Hey! Thanks a lot for the suggestion! I was also thinking to use the flare gun as a way to scrare animals. In comparison with the long dark, i want to make the bullets a very scarse item, so killing the animals will become our last option, if there is no qay to escape the chase. The player as I see now will heavily use the flare gun to escape the attacks, or make use of the terrain to hide from them
This game reminds me an awful lot of Void Train except without time pressure and set in a more down to earth setting. You didn't list Void Train in your inspirations although considering how similar the two are, you should take a look at it.
Great Video... I have a suggestion... If you are adding flare gun and flashlight in your game than make night time more darker... and make flare more intense
I wonder how rails actually work, like considering train can probably move backwards and with different speed along them, it would be interesting for me to explore since the key system for them(unfortunately I don't know name of it) can be very useful in many ways

Thanks ma man! For now I’m thinking the flare gun will only be used to scare the enemies, and not harm them. The rifle will be used for that purpose, but the bullets will be very scarse, so you’ll want to use it only as the last option. Noted about the bullets!

Maybe add an in-game menu that tells you more abt the incoming updates and yrailers and their dates and stuff, would be really helpful

I think it would be great if you add a temperature system so that the player needs heat to survive. And maybe a way to light up the train (lanterns?)
