I have ordered from Alibaba few times. I didn't charged any import duty. Make sure you choose Standard Shipping with DDP not Express or Economy. In that mostly it is shipped to India Post or local logistics like Yenwen and Delivered to your address without any document submission. According to my Experience...

Bhai UPS Courier se mangwaya karo. UPS ki customer service bahut acchi hai aur charges bhi reasonable hein. FedEx meri company ka Consignment bhi faswa deta tha aur extra charge karta tha to humne UPS ki service leni shuru kar di. UPS mein kabhi koi problem nahi aayi.

It's not about Fedex, this is a new procedure Import through DHL/Fedex. In fact they also ask AD code registration on Icegage in KYC specially DHL
I think now you also need EPR certificate for every product you are going to import.

I had faced the same issue while importing from China... The address given to the manufacturer was updated one and the address mentioned in my Aadhaar card was old address, and it takes 10 - 15 days to update my Aadhaar card. I uploaded twice, but they rejected it, and finally I had to edit my Aadhaar card on my graphic editing software and uploaded it, and they approved it...😋 So please be careful while giving the address, let the address be as same as your Aadhaar Card or else go and update your Aadhaar card today.

I have ordered already and I think I'm gonna face same problem as address is different. Do they really dive in deep to verify address or they just need a copy to be uploaded?? If changing address with graphic designing helps then I think I'm gonna do the same 😐

Brother this is true if you import anything you have must be billing address and shipping address same because FedEx always do cross verify your billing address and shipping address however if do you have same billing address and shipping you never gonna face this problame of otherwise your billing address and shipping address different than you should upload your declaration latter..

I faced similar issue. In fact each time i import something FedEx will make sure the shipment will get stuck in customs for some purpose, And i have to give a declaration letter. I had to get a letterhed just for this purpose. FedEx and customs will harrass you so much that u will have to consider importing anything. You cannot concenterrate on the core business. For small time importers this process is a pain. This is the reality of ease of duing business in India. On the other hand i cannot describe the kind of suffering i have faced as a seller on amazon, Rejects, Frauds, No Support, no control.. Its like i am not running my business i am working for amazon.

These documents are meant for business purpose to get input credit.You can simply import without IEC code

They were mailed me and connected through whats app. And they were agreed to send 1MT and payment through bitcoin and send me the Proforma invoice after that their website is not available now, mail also not working, not response from them, and whats app also. I am Ex-FedEx, this is a internal FedEx problem.
This is has been a problem with FedEx for ages and they are least bothered of any customers.
Always, I would advise to get your shipments through Freight Forwarders and not through Express company.
Whats the difference , do i still need to pay custom duty if i get it from freight forwarder , and where and when do i pay custom duty . Also if it is just samples i am ordering , do custom duty still applies ?
