Would much rather prefer if they kept the SCM from Know Your Role in the games, hated that backwards somersault, especially the dancing.

why can't they time the scm right like svr 06... I mean the hbk since WWE 12 I guess (or svr 11 maybe) keeps tuning the band for additional 2 secs even after the opponent has stood up and looking at him... makes no sense!

Dxsmp the counter time is before the finisher is initiated mate... the strong reversal can come in when it's about to connect...
It has nothing to do with giving someone time to counter in between
It's a simulation, hbk doesn't wait for 2 secs in real life for the opponent to look at him ;)
or infact no other superstar does, that uses a kick
I have WWE 2k17 and the time to counter the scm is when he's about to kick you. In the older games you had to press the reversal button earlier because it was a scripted animation, like all grapples, but here is different. When he begins the finisher at the turnbuckle he does a "wake up taunt", as they're called in the game, then, when the opponent is completely standing and facing shawn, he approaches him with little steps (depend on how far the opponent is) and kicks him, and thats when you can counter.
Thats why he loses much more time tuning the band, because since its not a single scripted animation the system has to recognise that the opponent's model is in the right spot
they started the wake up taunt back in WWE '12 or so, so when he goes to initiate the kick the opponent is already off the ground but animation has not finished.

It's been years and the animation for the HBK pose still sucks. How? I really don't understand. He just looks so damn weird when doing it, his arm movements, the way he transitions into it. How is such an iconic pose like that still messed up in every game but one lol
Man smackdown vs raw 2006 and back (not including the arcade one) make me say mmm like you can feel the kick, it just don't have that feel no more
I like the one where he looks really tired when tuning up the band and then falls after delivering the kick! That's sick! How do you do that?

Don't worry, we'll be looking at a lot of other Superkicks from different games in the future, this focused on anything playstation (bar mania)

The old Smackdown vs Raw games was so much better gameplay wise
WWE 2k17 has a good roster and pretty good gameplay but it's get boring because there is only three things to do. Universe, MyCareer and Online (which barely works because it lags so much) I wish 2k17 added GM Mode or a Season mode like the old games

The Flair flop SCM sucks so much, I'm on PS3 and, even though current gen has a new one, we are still stuck with that shitty one, the best SCM's are the one with optional pins (can't remember the exact game that had those)

Honestly the SCM should look real, not every person oversells. The one from 07 I didn't like that much because of the somersault and the dancing. The new one where he gets tired is my favorite because it looks the realist. But the one where he isn't tired it also looks kinda dumb where the opponent does a spin
